Review of MAYU Nourishing Mask Pack BonnyHill Mayu (Horse Oil) Nourishing Mask Pack As a sheet mask junkie, I was very happy to try these masks out. I’ve used two so far and I must say that I really like them! Comes in an orangey-beige package with a picture of a horse on the front. The package has tear tabs for easy opening. The mask itself was soaked in essence and is made of a somewhat thin material. Just be gentle when unfolding the mask so that it doesn’t rip. The fit was good overall. I had to smooth out a few bubbles once applied but that’s pretty standard with most sheet masks. The mask has a slight floral scent which I found to be quite pleasant. As a migraine sufferer, I am pretty sensitive to smells but this didn’t bother me in the slightest. After a few minutes of wearing the mask, the scent had faded to the point where I no longer noticed it. I wore this mask for a total of 35 minutes before removal. Afterwards, my skin felt moisturized and nourished. I followed with a sleeping pack to really seal in the mask-goodness. I experienced no irritation with this mask and it worked well with my other skincare products. No pilling or stickiness to report. 
I have to give this mask an absolute thumbs up! I have tried several horse oil masks and this one is my favorite, hands down. BonnyHill Mayu (Horse Oil) Nourishing Mask Pack I previously tried the Coconut version and loved it. The fit and adherence for this variant were identical. Slightly wide at the temple area but the overall fit was good! The thin material adheres well. The floral scent was a bit strong upon opening but dissipates to a subtle scent. I left it on for the suggested 20 minutes. Leftover essence took about another 20 minutes to fully absorbed to a smooth finish. True to its claim, skin felt moisturized and nourished. I liked the mask and it made my skin feel smooth afterwards. There is something I don't like about it, the size of the mask. It's too long in places like the forehead and sides. And way too short on my nose. It didn't even cover my nose as you can see in the picture.

My first sheet mask from Bonnyhill~! I'm a sheet mask addict so I HAD to try these, I've had good luck with MAYU cream in the past and I've been wanting to try it in a sheet mask form. I sworn off anything containing horse oil but after trying the cream, I became hooked. I love all my animal friends so this is a little difficult, but for the sake of skincare -here we are. Mayu also known as horse oil is known for it's intense nourishment, soothing and brightening properties. This sheet mask also contains blueberry extract which is a great antioxidant and beta glucan which helps soothe and repair damaged or irritated skin, also claiming to diminish fine lines and wrinkles. Right away I noticed the sheet mask has a very strong 'soap' smell. It's very fresh and relaxing, I don't mind it but it could irritate sensitive skin. The sheet mask is very thick and adheres to the skin perfectly. It doesn't slide or move but then again you should be relaxing for these 15 - 30 minutes! The sheet mask is completely soaked in essence and I have enough to massage it onto other parts of my body. My skin is left hydrated and bouncy! Thankfully, no sticky feel. I really enjoyed this mask and allowed myself time to try them several times. Bonnyhill has what it takes to be the top of the sheet mask game, these are really nice! **I received this product in exchange for my honest opinion. All thoughts are my own.

I gotta be honest here as usual , I had a hard time with this because of the horse oil . Had I read a little more in depth , Id never have purchased it . Though the horses arent slaughtered specifically for beauty products , in Japan they are raised for the meat , then they refine the oil to sell . It pretty much punched me in the gut . Being an animal lover as I am . I did go ahead and use the mask but i disposed of the rest . It made me very sad . Now my review . 🐎 Top Ingredients 🐎 Jeju Horse Oil Blueberry extract Beta Glucan 🐎 The purpose of the horse oil as I understood it allows for deep absorption into the skin which in turn allows deep hydration of moisture on rough , dry skin 🐎 Claims of brighter , whiter skin with moisture added . 🐎 I cleansed and toned before use . This mask is really saturated in essence but it was easier to unfold which I liked and easy to place on my face . I relaxed with it on for 20 minutes and when I removed it I was really amazed at how much better my skin looked . Brighter , smoother , much more hydrated . I just cant get past the horses being used in it . Its a really good product for anyone who doesnt mind that but I have trouble with it . 🐴 I’m a Huge Mask Fan; and I was able to try a 5-Pack of @beauadd_bonnyhill MAYU (horse oil) Nourishing Mask Packs at a trial offer from @0.8l_usa for my honest review. 🐴 Benefits: This Horse Oil Mask claims to nourish & Moisturize the “baby” skin. Because the packaging is in Korean, I’m having to use my “Translate” app, and this is what the packaging says. So I’m not sure if this means that the mask will leave your skin nourished, leaving Skin feeling like a baby’s. 😆 This MAYU Mask also claims the skin will be soft & shiny. 🐴 Note: I thought it was interesting that the packaging has this statement: “This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent disease.” (I guess I’m confused as to what mask would prevent or treat a disease) 🤔 🐴 Active Ingredients: 100% Aloe Vera Leaf Extract, (PIZZA-100) ~I don’t think it’s actually pizza 🍕 ~ 😆🤔Hydrogenated castor oil, water, Glycerine, PIGG / PIZZA -m6 Caramel ~another ingredient I’m not sure of~, Panthenol, Adenosine, Blueberry Extract, Green Tea Extract, Extracts of Ethanol, and fragrance. Note; this is not the complete list of ingredients, and I’m not sure which ingredient is the (Horse Oil). 🐴 How to Use: It’s recommended to apply after cleansing face; and I also use toner, leave on for 15 to 20 minutes. After removing, gently pat face with essence. ~I always find some remaining essence in the packet, so use every drop! 😀 🐴 My thoughts: I like how much essence is in this mask! It fits well, and stays on well. I like the cooling effect. I noticed my skin felt much more hydrated, and a bit more shiny. I sampled the MAYU Nourishing Mask Pack and enjoyed it! I received four masks so I was able to get them with my daughter who is a big fan of face masks. At first, the idea of having a mask with horse fat was strange but when we opened the pack the masks smell very nice and have a lot of cream. We used it for 15 mins and when we took it off we followed the package instructions to pat excess cream on our faces with our fingertips. There was quite a bit left on our skin and the finger tapping helped absorb it and gave our face a shiny, rosy look that we really liked. It did initially leave a sticky feeling on my face but after a few minutes it went away and left my skin felling very smooth and soft! My face felt very hydrated and I didn’t need a moisturizer at all that day. I also noticed that my skin looked very healthy and my pores looked minimized which was a nice surprise :)

I was really excited to get my MAYU Nourishing Mask Packs in after seeing all hype online about the horse oil for beauty treatments. I was a little guilty about using these being that I am a dedicated animal lover from birth, but I still wasn’t completely sure how these masks were made. I had to try them because i also love trying all masks and beauty products or anything that will keep me looking as healthy as possible! These are a really popular product in Korea and Germany from what I have seen on the web. The masks are supposed to rejuvenate your skin, help make it smooth and soft while lighting the hyper pigments and reducing fine lines and wrinkles! The mask really feels good on my face and it seems like it is tighter with more elasticity which is something I am in search of all the time! But I am not sure at what cost I would go, it definitely depends on how the masks are made!

So when I first received the pack of sheet masks the first thing I did was research what exactly horse oil is in skincare! Here's what I discovered: Horse oil is a byproduct of horse meat production used in countries that eat horse meat(This is pretty common actually...)Horses ARE NOT killed purely for the purpose of their oil. It's a relatively small amount per animal, making it far too expensive to farm horses purely for this oil. Think of it like the entire animal is being used right?!? So horse oil has been used for centuries in eastern Europe and Asia for things like treating burns, cuts and even treatment of eczema! It's derived from fat so it's high in fatty acids, especially linolenic acid, which is thought to contain anti-inflammatory properties and can possibly help in maintaining the skin barrier. The end result of this product added is hydrated healthy skin. This mask also contains some other great ingredients such as panthenol, centella asiatica extract, blueberry fruit extract and sodium hyaluronate. All of which are meant to hydrated, even tone and get you glowing! My thoughts on the performance: It was super saturated when i ooened the package, but not dripping wet. This mask was a bit large around my chin and slipped down my forehead a bit but it wasn't such that I would not recommend it. I kept it on for 20 mins and when I removed the mask my face was super hydrated! My skin looked supple and healthy and glowing and it dries down with zero stickiness. Im actually very impressed with how soft and healthy my skin looks 30 minutes after taking it off. Highly recommend this!!
