Facial Cleansing Wash, Sun Cream and Toner Essence. All of them are amazing. With sensitive skin I am always on the hunt for good quality skincare that is as natural as possible. It might not be as powerful as that pure ampoules that I keep in my drawer, but I love to give my skin a break, or use as much delicate products as possible in my routine. This essence is very, so beware, if you are not a fan of it. I like it because I use it in between heavier essences, mostly containing a lot of hyaluronic acids and this combo delivered all goodness and moisture to my skin. I love doing seven skin method with watery essences, and this essence is my favorite for making mid day refreshing pat on my face. It is super light essence, without anything unnecessary in it, simple and clean, without any scent in it. I love that line, and feel very happy that I was able to try it. Simplistic Wonder Essence. I have been using this in my routine for quite sometime now. I bought a decant of this off of reddit about 2 months ago and liked it, so of course had to have it from @0.8l_usa. They , along with @credithink ( an amazing seller on Amazon!) offered it at a trial fee in exchange for my honest review, so here it is. 🥃 It's an amber colored toner- like essence, watery but with slip. It's star ingredient is amaranth seed extract, packed with antioxidants and amino acids for anti-aging benefits. It also contains a very science-y combination of trehalose, beta glucan, glycerin and hyaluronic acid for moisture. There's more: bifida ferment, chamomile, aloe, centella asiatica, glutathione, allantoin and niacinamide. All good things here! 🥃 It's watery texture smoothes onto the skin effortlessly and is absorbed quickly. It leaves behind an oh so slight tackiness but that disappears within a few minutes. It doesn't seem to have a scent. 🥃 I don't find this to be particularly plumping, but I do think it gives a bit of radiance to the skin, which I feel I captured in the images of my hand. I feel it nourishes the skin really well. I think it is a great hydrator for summer but I'm not sure about the winter. I find if I layer too much it's a little tackier than I can tolerate and remains that way for longer. 🥃 In summation, it's a product I enjoy using. It's aesthetically pleasing, and provides a bit of glow. I'm still not sure if I will repurchase. I really want to see how it works in the winter, so if I find myself continuing to reach for this and it doesn't make it to the winter, I'll probably repurchase. I don't often include a first essence in my routine, instead I usually opt for a hydrating toner. The @simplistic_skin Wonder Essence happens to be a toner and an essence, which is what caught my eye. Not to mention the super sleek packaging, which I originally thought was glass, but turned out to be sturdy, lightweight plastic. . . This essence claims to promote wound healing from acne, soothe inflammation and irritation, and help maintain skin's water balance. Notable ingredients include: 🌿 Centella Asiatica Extract- reduces inflammation that causes acne scarring 🌿 Beta-Glucan- locks in moisture and strengthens skin barrier 🌿 Licorie Root Extract- soothes irritated skin 🌿 Amaranthus Hypochondriacus Seed Extract- has antioxidant effects and is used as a water replacement in this formula . . This essence has a watery consistency and is light brown in color. I use about a quarter sized amount and pat it in immediately after cleansing. It sinks in quickly and doesn't leave any residue. I find that it lightly hydrates and preps my skin well for the rest of my routine. My other steps layer nicely over it without any pilling or feeling of heaviness. I also find that it does help to soothe my acne inflammation. Overall, I feel like this product fufills it's purpose of being a simple and safe hydrating first step. I enjoy that it's lightweight and soothing, perfect for hot weather. I don't have anything negative to say about and will continue to use it. . . .

I was very excited the packaging on this fit with the current bathroom shelf aesthetic, which has products all housed in fancy brown packaging like this essence. The wood looking top was an especially cute touch. I liked that this product was intended to be a 2 in 1 essence/toner combo. The consistency on this is watery, I prefer to use it without a cotton pad as it all absorbs into it. Rather, I put some on the palm of my hands and apply. Despite the watery composition, the product actually contains no water and contains natural extracts. It sunk into skin easily and did not have much of a smell. It’s super hydrating for the summer as it’s not heavy and is refreshing on the skin. What I loved most is the brand’s commitment to zero toxic ingredients in their products... which is always good when you’re slapping it all over your face. The only qualm on this is the retail price... I don’t think I would pay $34 for this.. or really any toner unless it was amaze balls. I was lucky enough to try this at a trial rate in exchange for my honest review. Overall, I’m liking the product but personally couldn’t justify the price tag.

🌠 Simplistic Essence Wonder ✒️ Purpose/claims: Brightening plus anti-wrinkle effects, contains niacinamide and glutathione and beta-glucan, gentle enough for daily use, base is made of 100% amaranthus seed extract instead of purified water, abundant in antioxidants and amino acids, lightweight and absorbs quickly ✒️ Experience: Toner is watery with a light brown color. No noticeable scent that I could tell. I applied this twice daily after toner using my hands. I did notice if you're heavy handed with application, some stickiness can occur. Normally goes away with constant patting prior to moving on to next steps so go light on the layers if using it for the 3/5/7 skin method. Using it this summer has been nice as it isn't heavy and doesn't clog my pores. ✒️ Final Thoughts: Recommend! Left my skin plump and hydrated. Skin always felt really soft after application.

I needed a new toner so this came at a perfect time! The Facial Pure Essence Toner by Simplistic Skincare was just that...simple. It was scentless, almost colorless and moisturizing. The basics, but it does the basics well. Going to do the seven skin method with this toner!

The usual step after cleansing is applying a toner or watery essence. WONDER Essence works as both. It has only necessary and beneficial ingredients and no thickeners (like xanthan gum, for example), which makes it runny and easily absorbed. Staying true to their “only good ingredients” philosophy, the manufacturer doesn’t use water in this product. Instead, the first ingredient is a natural extract. When you buy this product, you are paying for a concentrated and effective treatment and not simply water with a few niceties added in. The essence is advertised for all skin types. My skin is combination with an oily t-zone and dry-to-normal cheeks. My impressions: Watery essences are the bomb. I’ve been into layering toners and essences lately and I can safely do that without worrying about stickiness or poor absorption. This Simplistic Skincare WONDER essence works well with the BEGIN cleanser. Together, they have made my skin smoother, pores less noticeable, and the skin tone more even (probably thanks to niacinamide). I love the safe, 0-2 EWG rated ingredients. My skin loves centella asiatica, especially if I’m having one of my infrequent breakouts. The essence is perfect for summer - effective but not heavy. The color is a beautiful golden brown from the natural plant extracts (I see no artificial dyes in the ingredients list). Since there is no scent (perhaps very little and it’s neutral, hard for me to detect), the product can be shared with family members of all ages. I highly recommend you give it a try.

When I did the #abnewyearstashchallenge beginning of this year, I realized I have too many products and decided to go on a no buy. I stuck to my no buy and even cancelled all subscription services (Boxwalla and Facetory). I failed with the wonderful campaigns on @0.8L_usa. Now, I am only allowed to buy on @0.8l_usa / @joinpalm and I must say I am super happy with the products I have received for free or for a nominal trial fee .. @simplistic_skin wonder essence came highly recommended by @lemondropglow and I had my eye on this. I grabbed it for a trial fee from #08l and I am so glad I did .. This comes in a amber colored bottle with a stopper on top like all toners. Packaging is minimalistic and modern, that appeals to me. It looks like frosted glass but it is actually sturdy plastic. I like the design, all other toners come in a cylindrical shaped bottles this was unique .. This is made with 100% of Amaranthus seed extract which is called “a God-given grain” because it contains all of the kinds of amino acid essential for our body. It is especially rich in anti-biotic and anti-aging elements that are excellent at fighting against the aging skin (from @beautibi ) It also contains Bifida Ferment Lysate (rebuilds and strengthens skin), Niacinamide and Licorice root extract (brightening and evening skin tone), Polygutamic acid, Beta Glucan, Hyaluronic Acid, Trehalose and Glycerin (super hydrating complex), Aloe, Allantoin and Centella Asiatica Extract (soothing and calming), Glutathione (to help with skin pigmentation, whitening) .. You use this after cleansing and a hydrating toner or use it in place of the toner. Take 2-4 drops of this and gently pat for absorption. I usually use 2-3 layers you do need more. The consistency is watery or runny with no fragrance (I did not detect any). I assumed this is going to be similar to the Isntree Green Tea Fresh Toner but I was so wrong. Don't be fooled by the consistency this is super hydrating. I was surprised at how well it hydrates. I also see some brightening. My inner ‘adult drinks enthusiast’ approved!! And it’s easy to pack for traveling. Be careful when pouring this watery essence out though, the liquid could come out really fast. • 💦Scent: this is truly fragrance free. It’s great for people who are sensitive with scents. • 💦Performance/Thoughts: this gentle and hydrating essence absorbed super fast on my skin. Just a couple of dabs into my palm would do the trick. This is a really nice essence that I will continue using, I really like the aesthetic, it improves skin, and I really like products that introduce ingredients like amaranth seed extract in lieu of water to increase the products effects.

First of all, I adore the packaging of this product. It is so high quality and well thought out. It really shows what the company is all about. The product itself is extremely nice as well. I have now stopped using my previous toner and replaced it with this. I feel like this is much more gentle and easy on my skin while also providing moisture and the factors of an essence. It makes me happy to know that this product is all natural and pure and I applaud the company for that as well. My only negative about this is how liquidy the toner is. It is super thin, and is basically the consistency of water, so it does make it more complicated to apply, and doing 7 layers of this would be very tedious as well. So I just have to pour a bunch into my palm and then apply to my face, and then I am good to go. Other than that, it has been really nice and I feel like my skin is benefitting from this product. I would definitely recommend others to try it!

Simplistic Wonder Essence Don’t be fooled by the name, this Essence is actually a Toner! I applied this by dispensing onto my palm and pat. Light brown in color without any detectable scent. It absorbed well with no tackiness, provided a light hydrating layer with a subtle glow. It preps my skin well for the next step of my skincare routine. The consistency is watery! This toner is made from 100% super food amaranth seed extract essence used for its antioxidant effects. Derived from the plant Amaranthus, meaning “An eternally blooming flower” is also known as “a God-given grain” as it contains various amino acids. Amino acids are great at fighting against the aging skin! I’ve been enjoying this essence for the past two weeks. I loved how my skin looks and feels after application. It’s too soon to see the anti-aging benefit but my focus in skincare is maintenance. This product fits right in! 🗂 Simplistic Essence Wonder 🗂. . . 🗂 I've been super curious about this brand for awhile now. But some of their products have particular ingredients my face doesn't like! For this essence, I looked online and didn't see that it had that particular ingredient. But when it arrived, it included a slip with the ingredients in English and was totally different than online?! For that reason alone, I was super hesitant to use it on my face. Many of you know my sensitive breakouts get REALLY bad and takes 1.5 weeks to recover. 🗂. . . 🗂 The product itself is thin and slippery with little to no scent 👌🏼 It absorbs on my dry skin really quickly and there is no stickiness even when layered multiple times or with other products. The shape is fairly distinctive and reminds me of flask, giving it a vaguely masculine/unisex appeal. 💧Texture: Slightly more viscous than water. 💧Scent: No detectable scent at all. 💧Ingredients: What’s unique about this product is that it uses amaranthus seed extract in place of water as the base of this product. It purportedly has antioxidant, anti-aging effects although I can’t really find many studies on it. Other anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and humectant ingredients soothe and nourish skin including chamomile flower extract, allantoin, bifida ferment lysate, centella asiatica extract and licorice root extract. 💧Performance: It reminds me of the Matsuyama Hydrating Lotion light in terms of the same slippy texture that delivers just the right combination of skin softening and hydration. I have been using it as a FTE and find that it performs well at calming my skin and preparing it for the rest of my layers. 💧Final Thoughts: Simply put, it was love at first pat! I don’t know about you guys but for me, I typically decide if I like a product or not from the very first use. When I applied this essence it was an immediate sense of satisfaction. My skin instantly felt more supple, hydrated and happy.
