Hydrating, prevents redness, and protects skin against external irritants. . . key ingredients: centella asiática extract, tea tree extract, madecassoside . . final thoughts: honestly, it’s been a while since I did a review for 0.8 Liter, just because none of their current offerings have peaked my interest enough. But recently, I spotted the @bentoncosmetic centella gel on the app and since I loved the sheet masks, I went ahead and purchased the gel for 3.99 (in exchange for my review). I used it everyday for around 2 weeks. Also, just in time for my PMS hormonal breakout. My skin’s been very dry and peeling the past few weeks and I’m glad to say this definitely calmed my skin down. After applying to my face, my skin felt cool and refreshed. Not really a tingly feeling, but it’s that similar relaxing feeling you get when you apply aloe vera gel. I’ve tried the Benton aloe gel and this def feels similar to that (cept it feels more hydrating). Keep swiping to see a few before and after pics to show that it did reduce my redness the morning after I used it. Overall, I’m pleased with this product 😊

I loved the sheet mask from this series, and I ADORE this gel. It’s so light, absolutely not sticky, get absorbed fast and works well both morning and night. The centella asiatica and its derivatives in the ingredients soothe the skin and calm redness very quickly. This would be great for anyone with acne prone or troubled skin, and those who like to occasionally extract pimples and blackheads. Highly recommend!

Goodbye Redness Centella Gel, by Benton. 🐲This product has such cute packaging. It has a caricature of an ouchy, funny pimple and a microphone calling out “goodbye redness.” 🐲With the healing power of Centella this Gel is pretty much magic. 🐲I know it’s for your face but I’ve used Cica for all kinds of things and I cut my thumb making dinner yesterday so I have put some of this Gel on the cut. I’m going to diary how or if this Gel heals the cut. I tried to photograph the cut but it didn’t show. It’s one of those sideways slice type cuts. A couple of hours after I put on the Centella Gel the cut was sealed. The next morning it was still closed and not sore. I made an error in not covering it and in packing my car for a little weekend trip I bumped the cut and opened it again. It was partly healed though as it didn’t bleed or hurt. I’d already packed the gel so just got in the car and left. Once in my hotel I cleaned it and treated it again. 🐲I didn’t have to treat it again. I clipped off a little of the dead skin and all is well. 🐲I couldn’t not have had quicker healing with an antibiotic ointment. 🐲I never want to be without Centella/Cica. 🐲 I’ve learned that it is also called Gotu Kola. I started wondering if Centella would help psoriasis and tried some on my head. Initially it felt better and then it started to itch, which can also be from plaques loosening. I started reading about natural remedies for psoriasis and found that in experiments were favorable when Gotu Kola was taken orally. The pill/capsule form seems to be mostly referred to as Gotu Kola and I’m going to try it the next couple of weeks before I go in to see a new dermatologist. 🐲So back to the real topic, the Benton goodbye redness. I was able to try Benton’s brand new Goodbye redness Centella Gel for a discounted price. First off I wanted to say I have just recently read and looked into the benefits of Asiatica gel aka centella aka tiger grass balm and all the amazing things it can do for your skin. What is cica you might ask? Cica is a small plant that grows only up to six inches in height, cica is mainly found in shady and damp areas in many different parts of the world, including India, Sri Lanka, China, South Africa, Mexico, and others. Known as one of the “miracle elixirs of life,” cica’s medicinal properties have been well-documented in Chinese medicine and beyond, and cica has been appearing more and more in the food and beverage industry. When applied topically, cica is effective in treating wounds. In a 2012 study, researchers found that cica facilitates the healing of incisions and burns. Cica not only promotes collagen production but also inhibits inflammation that leads to scarring. Cica extract is generally high in skin-benefitting phytochemicals. It’s rich in vitamin C, vitamin A, vitamin B1 and B2, niacin, and carotene, which combine to brighten skin and fight premature aging. This is a lightweight gel that you truly only need a pea size amount to apply to your skin as it spreads very well. It has an almost cooling effect as it dries down which I imagine it would feel amazing for someone who’s skin is feeling irritated. I have some redness on my skim, from acne, scarring and possibly slight rosacea. In just 4 days of using this gel twice a day my redness has gone down a considerable amount. I am honestly shocked. Nothing has helped my redness. This also quickly absorbs into the skin so it’s great to layer with other products. If this gel continues to show results I will keep this in my skincare rotation forever!!
