I grabbed the Swanicoco Soft and More Black Sugar Peel from 0.8L for $3.99 and it was a total steal! I had to look up the directions online, because I wasn’t sure to use on wet/dry skin or clean/dirty. The only thing was, they don’t tell you how much to use so, by trial and error, I figured out that you only need a very thin layer. I wanted the maximum exfoliation so I left it sit for 10 instead of 2 minutes. As soon as I started to rub in small circles, the dead skin just started falling off into the sink. The texture on my face was all but gone, and I had to look close to see my pores. I was very happy with how soft and smooth my face was after using. This peel gel is perfect to create a smooth base for makeup. I will definitely be purchasing again.

I’m glad I got to try this product. The 3 other products from this company that I was selected to try weeks ago STILL haven’t arrived. This peel is both chemical and physical, since there are fine grains within it. There was no discernible smell, and visually it isn’t very appealing. But, this stuff really works! All you have to do is rub a small amount on your dry skin right after you was your face. Immediately, you can see all the dead skin coming off. I normally use Skinfood’s Pineapple Peeling Gel, but this product beats it, hands down. This stuff got rid of more dead skin than Skinfood’s peel ever has. Afterward, my skin felt baby soft and smooth. I would definitely recommend this to others because it works!

This is the @swanicoco* Soft and more black sugar peeling gel. I love that this is a double exfoliation. It has PHA for a chemical exfoliation and black sugar for a physical exfoliation. This is super gentle and I think anyone could get along with this. This is super gentle and it's my favorite peeling gel that I've used so far. It supposed to contain black sugar for the physical aspect and PHA for the chemical exfoliant aspect. It has a soft, jelly texture with a gentle fruity scent. I like this texture a lot. • 🧼 You’re supposed to apply this to dry skin and manually move it around to remove the gunk and dead skin from your face/neck. My face felt ‘squeaky’ clean after rinsing. When I first received this product and looked it up to gather information I become pretty terrified of it🤣. Kind of gross, but the results are so nice. After wiping it off, it leaves your skin so soft and smooth with no dry patches left behind. I've been using it twice a week and my face has stayed consistently smooth. I don't have a problem with breakouts so I can't speak on that, but I do with dry skin. This stuff reminds me of the Bliss Jelly Glow Peel if you've tried that. I love that I don't have to scrub my skin to exfoliate. This stuff truly makes it so easy.

Swanicoco Soft and more black sugar peeling gel is a try for a honest opinion. This peeling gel is brown in color like dark brown sugar. It feels gritty and has a slight smell to it. You cleanse your face and make sure it's dry. Then you massage it on to your face and rinse it off. It pills up into little balls and once I rinsed it off my skin, it was soft and smooth. I definitely liked this peeling gel because it didn't dry my face. This is a product that I can use in my routine.

I love peeling gels, as they are a way for me to exfoliate my oily skin gently on an almost daily basis ~ Since I have written about this before, I put the definition of a peeling gel in a slide (swipe) as well as does Swanicoco's Soft & More Black Sugar Peeling Gel actually meet the definition. Long story short, it does, but with twists. Now that is out of the way, let's get down to why this works so well & is one of the better peeling gels I have tried. . . This contains several humancants, two of which are quite interesting: we all know about glycerin but what about black strap powder (this is molasses) & sorbitol? Black strap powder is not only bringing & binding moisture to your skin, but it is full of antioxidants & contains naturally occurring lactic acid, which means it also exfoliates. Sorbitol is a corn/fruit/seaweed derived sugar alcohol & it is used as an humectant. The exfoliators are also a bit unusual ~ the above mentioned black strap powder is one, black sugar ~ naturally contains glycolic acid, an AHA & PHA gluconolactone. This also has walnut seed powder as well ~ which makes this both a chemical & physical exfoliator. I did do a pH test on this as I know Swanicoco usually makes their peels a lower pH than most brands ~ this came out to a 3.5, so it is on the acidic side, making it a good exfoliator. Now, some brands have a higher pH level & those are good for sensitive skin or dry skin ~ a higher pH level doesn't mean bad. Does this product meet the definition of a peeling gel? . . Alpha Hydroxy Acid ~ Swanicoco used two AHA, black sugar, black strap powder & gluconolactone which is a 3rd generation acid called PHA (poly hydroxy acid) Clumping Materials ~ This was standard & not unusual: cellulose & carbomer as its clumping material. . . Increase Moisture & Hydration ~ Swanicoco also was a bit unusual here ~ normally, you see hyaluronic acid but this product went with glycerin, black strap powder, black sugar & sorbitol as its humecants. PHA's can also increase hydration in the skin. All in all, yes, this fits the definition of a peeling gel. It has AHA/PHA, clumping materials & humecants. This is a very soft peeling gel in a light brown color ~ think of brown sugar paste. It doesn't SMELL like sugar though. You do need to have dry skin. Any amount of moisture on your skin will not cause it to clump up ~ so make sure your skin is dry without any moisture. Once you do that, this will clump up as you massage it in. I will say this peeling gel took the longest to clump up, which tells me that Swanicoco didn't add a lot of the clumping material in here, despite cellulose being the 2nd ingredient. They make you WORK for those balls of oil & dirt. My skin is soft & smooth, however, and this did whisk away clogged pores without stripping my skin dry. I also like the fact that this has a physical exfoliator as well ~ for my oily skin in the summer, my skin gets clogged easily. It's surprisingly effective as I thought that the soft brown paste that was stubbornly refusing to clump initially was not working. But once I got it to clump (no damp SKIN AT ALL), it worked like a dream. . . Plate Test: Yep, it passed. Flying colors. Swanicoco soft and more black sugar peeling gel - first impressions . I recently got my hands on this peeling gel and wanted to share the first impressions. I was afraid it would have actual pieces of sugar in it (which could be irritating to some people). However, it’s a smooth texture just like most peeling gels I’ve tried. . The product has a fun caramel color that makes me think of desserts 🍮🍫🍬 . So far, it seems quite effective in gently removing dead skin cells and making my skin very smooth. I’ll write a full blog review once I’ve used it longer.

The gel was in a white tube with the same print as the box. The tube has a safety seal under the cap. The box and tube only had instructions in Korean. However, there was a leaflet included with directions in English. The peeling gel is brown and has a pleasant scent to it. There is an expiration date on the bottom of the box, it expires March 27, 2022. You can purchase a 100ml tube of the peeling gel for $16.80. MY THOUGHTS:  When I applied to get this, I honestly thought it was a gel face mask you peel off. If I would have known it was this, I would have passed on it, but I'm satisfied with the results. I've used this gel several times now. Once I start to rub this into my skin, it almost immediately rolls into little balls all over my face. I'm not quite sure if it's my dead skin or if it's just the gel that is rolling into balls.  Whether that is the case or not, after using this my skin felt incredibly soft and smooth. The gel is very gentle and didn't because any irritation. One of the issues I have is since the gel rolls into balls so quickly it does take a lot of gel to cover my entire face. Not to mention it's kind of gross having dead rolled up skin all over and it's quite messy because the dead skin starts to fall off my face. A lil moody #TextureTuesday and a quick #skincarereview thrown in to boot . On deck today is the @swanicoco.official Peeline Black Sugar Peeling Gel. I would say the name is true to the product, as it comes out with a dark, somewhat creamy texture to start with, and then once massaged in it takes on the typical peeling gel consistency and balls up on skin as you exfoliate. This one is a bit messy, so I would recommend standing over a sink while you use this . I would give this 4/5- it did an okay job exfoliating, and also didn't stick to my facial peach fuzz thank gawd. However it left a bit of a film behind on my skin that I wasn't stoked about .
