Maybe they were referring to softened butter? I could not detect any scent to this, always a plus. 👀Notable Ingredients: Sunflower seed oil for moisture, caffeine, 4 types of peptides for firming, antioxidant rich green tea. 👀Application: I squeeze out a minuscule amount, about the size of a grain of rice for each eye. Spreads easily without tugging the delicate undereye area and sinks in easily without too much rubbing in. 👀Bottom Line: Now admittedly my requirements for an eye cream aren’t that demanding. I don’t expect it to erase dark circles but I would like it to slightly improve the appearance of my undereye area and help me look a little more rejuvenated and alive. This does that and also checks off everything I would like in an eye cream - tube format sanitary packaging, fragrance free and plays nicely with subsequent layers and makeup without pilling. The first thing that impressed me is that it's good for those with milium concerns. That's me! I do hate those things and they are very difficult to eliminate. I love that there's no animal testing or animal products in the cream. The sunflower oil that is rich in Vitamins A and E are really good for the delicate skin around your eyes where women often show early sings of aging. The peptides are especially appealing because they stimulate skin fibroblasts to produce more collagen, elastin, and other proteins in the matrix of the dermis. Boosting these structure proteins makes skin look firmer and fuller. Love this product. My only criticism is the packaging. It should be more eye catching and the information on the tube should be viable from a little more distance and for those of us reviewing the product I would think you'd want the company name and what the product is to catch the consumer's attention. I've tried several eye creams but most cause irritations like itching and burning. I had no issues with @dear_klairs Fundamental Nourishing Eye Butter. The texture is a soft butter-like cream. allowing for quick absorbency. Since it contains sunflower seed oil that's rich in vitamin A and E, this leave the area soft. ▪︎▪︎▪︎ This fundamental butter works great on all skin types and my combination skin had no issues so I highly recommend.

This product comes in a little squeezy tube and it’s easy to dispense. The eye butter is not too thick and it’s a yellow-ish color. It spreads out easily and doesn’t feel sticky. It absorbs in quickly and leaves the skin feeling soft. Recommended use is to apply toner after cleansing. At the moisturizing step, apply an adequate amount and gently dab around the upper and lower eye area with fingertip, morning and night. Afterward, finish your routine with a moisturizer. After using it, I can really appreciate this product. It’s moisturizing but lightweight and a little goes a long way. The ingredients are nourishing and ideal for caring for wrinkles and undereye circles/darkness. On top of that, the eye cream is very gentle and has no fragrance so it’s great for sensitive skin. The quality of the eye cream is great and I think with extended use it will help with wrinkles and fine lines in addition to the darkness under my eyes. I would recommend this to anyone with dry and even oily skin and to people with sensitive skin. What I like: this is perfect for sensitive skin as well as almost any skin type. There’s no fragrance and it’s very gentle and has very nourishing ingredients. It’s moisturizing yet lightweight. The quality is great and not much is needed. I believe after extended use it’ll help with darkness and wrinkles. What I don’t like: nothing, it’s a great product. Rating: 10/10

Let me just start off by saying I've never really been one to use eye creams, but since my health has taken a turn for the worse in the past year, my eyes have gotten noticeably more dark underneath and much less lively than they used to be. Whenever I saw this Eye Butter from Dear Klairs was available to test, I knew I had to try it. There is no recognizable scent which is definitely a good thing, especially since the product is to be applied all around the eye area. The consistency is a light gel-cream that seamlessly melts into the skin and is quickly absorbed. It is very rich in texture without being oily-- even with it being so rich it still maintains a lightweight and hydrating consistency, leaving my under eye area feeling moisturized throughout the day. It only takes a tiny bit for it to adequately spread, so a little goes a long way. Simply apply a few dots under and around the eye area and gently pat until it's completely absorbed. You do not want to rub around your eyes or be too abrassive, since the skin around your eyes is the thinnest and most fragile area of skin on the human body. In all honesty, I've had dark circles under my eyes mostly every day of my life for the past few years due to my health conditions never allowing me to get a night's worth of restful sleep. I am only 24 but with the way things are going, I knew I needed to start eye care as early as possible so I could improve my fine lines, prevent wrinkles, and prevent further darkening of my under eyes. I have always been quite the skeptic of eye care products because they all claim to be a miracle worker, even if they really don't do much of anything. I think we can all agree a good eye cream is hard to come by, because most just don't ever live up to their claims. However, this one really does work and I am so pleasantly surprised! Since I began using this cream, my eye area looks brighter, wider, and much more like how it should look at my age. I obviously still have dark circles but they are less prominent than before, and the few fine lines I do have around my eyes have slightly diminished as well. The absolute best part about this cream? I have had psoriasis(an autoimmune disease that speeds up the life cycle of skin cells thus creating itchy, scaley, inflamed patches of skin) since I was 8 years old, and one of my main problem areas has always been on and around my eyes which is one of the worst spots to get it. Within two days of using this product, my psoriasis had literally cleared up by 80%! All that was left was a very light, faded red spot where it used to be-- no flaking, no scaliness, no itching, and no inflamed irritated skin. By day four of use my eye had completely cleared up, no more psoriasis! All throughout my life I've been on prescription steroid creams that have costed hundreds of dollars and none of them worked half as quickly or half as well as this eye cream, and that's not even what it's marketed for. If I could rate this 100 stars I absolutely would, because my psoriasis has always been the most stubborn around my eyes and has never truly gone away no matter what I tried. It has stayed gone since I've been using this product each night. I can not wait to continue seeing improvements the longer I use this, especially considering how much it has already done after only two weeks of use. This eye butter truly has been a miracle worker for me and has far exceeded any expectations I had. It has a beautiful formula, incredible ingredients, and I will absolutely be repurchasing again and again.
