Just when we thought we were done and about to cheer our achievement, Bray screeched, "Mama, how come still have ONE MORE piece! 😅🤦‍♀️ T'was a missing piece of our new Robit toy, we forgot to fix inside its mechanical system haha! But the toy worked fine regardless and we didn't want to risk opening it up AGAIN, which means that we need to reverse or undo our painstaking steps! Phew! 🙆‍♀️ Robit is a DIY paper toy by @robotry_ @robotry.sg that can make certain movements as it incorporates mechanical engineering, and has the joint structure of a real robot. We received Magi, the Robot Magician, from the Royal Version range. Enhanced from the other usual robits, the Royal Version range consists of royal boards in its kit and is much thicker, stronger, and easier to assemble. Swipe to see a highlight vid of how we built Magi, and then Bray demonstrates how it can move when its 'crank' is activated from behind. We took slightly more than an hour to fix and configure it, pretty much aligned with the recommended timing. I love that fixing up the Robit kit does not require any scissors, cutter or glue. The kit came with clear and easy-to-follow step-by-step instructions, although I took a while to figure out the first couple steps! Bray needed more help with the fine parts, otherwise, I think any school children or kidults like me will enjoy making their own Robit! Check out this cute little thing... So interesting and cute right.. Both me and Missy J spent an hour doing it... It is a very fun and good bonding activity. All materials are provided in the package together with a full detailed instructions. The boards are all labelled very clearly with numbers so as long as you follow it step by step, you will not get it wrong. Missy J's job is to remove the board and fold according to the instructions. The boards comes with very detailed lining so Missy J knows where to fold. As for mummy, I am in-charge of putting everything together. You need to have very nimble fingers to do the job as it requires quite a bit of skills to ensure that you fold and insert the board tightly so that it won't fall off. Other than that, it is really very easy. We really had fun together and Miss J is so fasinated at how it works to move to reveal the hidden rabbit. Thank you 0.8L for the chance to received this for a bonding activity with Missy J. I will love to do this again anytime...

Behold Robit Magician MAGI! This is one toy I had fun making. The Moving Papertoy Robit by Robotry is not your usual paper craft you can get for free. This one has thick paper parts and wooden bits for the crank. Yup, it has a simple crank mechanism for the moving part of the robot. Fascinating right? Emilee is a little too young to build this but older kids can definitely challenge themselves in building this little robot. The instructions are pretty easy to follow and the paper is scored for easy folding.

I spent alot of time fixing up this Moving Papertoy robot. Instructions are rather clear but I don't really like paper toys. It's flimsy and hard to make them stay in place. Too much work for me and not easy for children as will need a whole lots of patience and gentleness so as not to destroy the paper.

[Moving Paper Robot!-Poli] Was so excited to fixed the moving paper robot with Mr Z however he was too excited and started popping out all of the pieces from the 4 paper sheets all at one go! So I have to stop him and ask him to pop the pieces out in accordance with the sheet number! 🤣 We spend about an hour plus fixing it as there are certain parts that required nimble fingers to slot the areas in. Nonetheless, we had fun though the paper robot is suitable for 7 years old and above! It comes with instruction leaflet which was easy to follow. There is no need for glue, scissors or battery and it comes with one hard board and four paper sheets. There is a sense of accomplishment when we fixed the Moving Paper Robot and we played with Poli by turning the cute knob at its back to rotate the police siren! 🚨 How the police siren rotates is because of the bevel gear mechanism that transmit power as it uses the head spin to move the police siren 🤓 This is a great platform for children to show interest when you are having building activities and it also helps to encourage your child to practise asking questions such as " yiyi,why do you connect this here? yiyi,why do you put this there?" which helps to boarden their perspective and support your child cognitive development too! 😍 There are a variety of Moving Paper Robot to choose from and you can check it out at @robotry_ ! Crafting time! Had an enjoyable time making the Magi, The Robit Magician. Initially I wanted to make it with @kpo.kia , but the instruction mentioned recommended age as 7+ year old, so I go ahead and work on it myself. Took me almost 10 minutes to make the robot, and I liked that it can be set up without glue or scissors. It's interesting for both Kpo Kia and me to turn the handle of Magi, and see it puts on and off his hat over and over again, using crank mechanism. Crank is a mechanical device that connect rotating movement into reciprocating motion and vice versa. But after playing for a while, we had problem turning the handle, probably because we are too rough to the robot? Will definitely love to make other toy robot when I need to destress with craft therapy.

My girls had a big challenge fixing this robit magician from moving paper Robot. Thank you 0.8l for letting us experiment with this unique item... I love hands on and DIY art n crafts . It just makes the orifice mote valuable. My girls they were arguing and trying to fix this up 😅 but definitely I would say its a good team effort thought mistakes were made on fixing.... This is a very interesting and cute toy to diy and to spend time with your kids to test their motor skills. Quality wise its card board but still easy to tear . instructions manual were given but mistakes still can happen . I would definitely recommend you to try this and you can get them on Shopee if you are keen .However I must say they are for kids age 10 and above . Thank you for the opportunity.

This is a great activity to keep one focused and practice being detailed. The folds provided on each part made assembling the toy much easier though a lot of precision and patience is still required to put all parts together. There were 5 sheets in total, each sheet containing several parts to be put togehter. seeing the end product is satisfying.

Probably the only paper toy which Rayden has and it surprisingly did not get destroyed by him. It took me half an hour to build it piece by piece (pretty fun I would say) with wooden parts for gears so that it is more sturdy. For a toddler unfortunately they do not possess the level of fine motor skills to assemble it together yet nor will they be able to understand the mechanics behind it. However he did have fun and was amazed by how the lights could turn when he turn the clockwork. It does have a hole in which you can peer through to see how the gears turn. This will be a cool toy for perhaps 5+. Can't wait for him to slowly understand the concept of it. Meanwhile it stays as a fun toy in his favourite vehicle theme.

Introducing Mega Influencer, Robit CHEFU, from @robotry.sg Moving Papertoy, Moving Paper Robot - Robits. An educational paper toy designed to help children develop engineering skills, CHEFU the heavy eater will open and close its mouth when you turn its handle. . Fully made of 4 sheets of paper and 1 sheet of royal board, this paper robot was completed without the need for any scissors, glue or tape. This mechanical moving toy makes use of the cam/follower mechanism, in which the follower moves back and forth following a certain path in accordance with the engaged can that performs rotary motion. Definitely no batteries or wires involved! . Suitable for children aged 7-14 and older, 13yo #Sharilyngui found it manageable to assemble it, following the step by step instructions included. (There is also a QR code that leads you to a video footage to help you in assembling it, if you prefer). 7yo #Geralyngui helped out by popping out the required pieces / parts from the clearly-labeled 5 sheets, and lending her smaller fingers to assemble the smaller parts. . A good 1 hour bonding session while they put their problem solving skills, logical thinking, STEM skills, creativity, imagination, fine motor skills all to a test. The only 'complaint' that Sharilyn had was the paper layers would peel and separate at some joints where they were cut, making it difficult to join the parts at those cuts. Would be more ideal if the white paper is less flimsy and is of similar thickness as the yellow paper. The mechanism made of the royal board was sturdy. . Thank you @0.8l_singapore for sending us @robotry_ 's Moving Paper Robot - Detective Robit ARR Royal Version all the way from Korea! My little family spent about 30mins fixing Detective Robit together. I would read out instructions and which parts to prepare, then my kids would remove the cut outs, fold them accordingly and pass them to the "assembler". These are some points that I love about this product: • A Moving Toy with no Batteries needed. • All the parts, sheets of paper, royal boards are labelled clearly. • No need to use scissors or penknife so it's safe for my 4 year old to handle. • As it is well cut out, it is easily removable and ready for kids to fold along the crease. • Doesn't take long to complete so it suits kids who can't sit still for long. • Doesn't require glue however if you want, you can use some tape to make it more lasting! Point to note, this Detective Robit that we have is the ARR Royal version, which means the gears is cut out on a sheet of royal board (Thicker and more sturdy). With 6 long weeks of school holidays coming, I have the perfect stay home activities for the kids and for family bonding too, away from screen time!  An educational paper robot made in Korea to help children develop engineering  and STEM skills where they learn mechanical engineering principles by introducing simple mechanisms and gears.  Initially, assembling the paper robot toy ( we received the detective model) seems quite a challenge the beginning even for me as an adult as i was not familiar with it, but after a while I understood the instructions better and had a fun time guiding and  bonding with small J. In fact for the small parts, it is easier for the kids to assemble than adults as their fingers are smaller.  I love that this paper toy develops problem solving skills and logical thinking through STEM.
