Aloe Snail Mucin Gel

This review is for the #aloesnailmuchingel from @theskinhouse..this product was just "ok" for me..it doesn't have much of a scent which I like but it's so slimy and slippery feeling..it absorbed well and made my skin feel super soft but a few days after using it, I broke out along my chin area.. I haven't had a breakout since starting Retin-A.. so I had to discontinue using it.. I liked the product but I struggled with cystic acne for a very long time before I started using Retin-A and I don't want my skin to go back to that.. if I hadn't of broke out it would have been a good product..

I received this product course of 08L at a significant discount in exchange for my honest thoughts. When I see a product with mucin in the name I am eager to give it a try, especially when it's formulated into a gel. This clear lightweight gel had a fragrance to it which is worth noting for those who choose to avoid it. I have combination skin and found this to glide on with ease & absorb incredibly easy into my skin. However this may leave your skin slightly tacky until it completely sets in. Once it's set in, my skin has a lovely soft texture to it. I will say, it could feel more moisturizing, as I was rather underwhelmed with the hydration and moisture aspects from this gel. However this was great in that it did not make my skin oily and this lightweight option is ideal for hot summer days, especially those humid ones! Overall, this was an okay product at a fair price. I don't know the concentration of mucin in this, nor do I know if it was enough to give me the impact I have come to associate with other snail products but I am happy to note I experienced zero irritation nor did it clog my pores.

I like this gel, because it has a smooth and transparent texture and it helps me protect my skin and at the same time hydrate it immediately, it is ideal for irritated skin and does not leave the skin sticky, it is absorbed almost instantly. It is an excellent skin soothing agent.
