I also love the minimalist Scandinavian look of the packaging and the fun drawings on the box. The product is packaged well with a really nice, flexible secure inner lid and a scoop for removing product from the jar. The scent is a mild, pretty floral fragrance. I expected something of a jelly consistency from the look of the mask, but it’s more thick and oily. The oiliness was my main problem with this mask — instead of making my skin feel clean and refreshed, it made my skin feel heavy and oily. I felt the warming sensation slightly as I was applying the mask, but it did not stay around very long. That should be a relief for anyone who is worried that it would be too strong. The salt is fine and provides nice exfoliation without being too abrasive. This might be a good mask for those who do not mind an oily sensation on their skin, but I am really sensitive to that feeling, so this mask is not the best match for me.

The heating sensation on my face was a little weird to me at first but seemed to really open my pores. Texture is a thick gel type. The scent reminds me of when you visit the spa. Mask goes on sort of feeling like honey or molasses. After rinsing , my face felt cleaner and smoother. It felt really nice after. I did use a hydrating cream post mask so that the salt didn't dry out my skin. I can't say I would purchase this again but it was a very good product and done its job well.

It does exfoliate, but it hydrates at the same time, so there is zero irritation. It is a requirement in my skin care routine? No. But it is a really rewarding self care treat!

As you apply it to your skin, it warms skin with a thermal heat. It isn’t too hot, just slightly warm and calming. The salt/sugar particles are good for gentle exfoliation, while the blueberry extract & birch sap help soothe and moisturize my skin. The 5 types of seaweed are helpful for reducing oiliness. I put on a light layer on slightly damp skin and leave it on for 5 minutes. Then I lightly massage my face, concentrating on my nose to remove blackheads and impurities. It washes off easily and leaves skin very soft. My skin looks brighter and more smooth, and pore size is reduced. It is recommended for use in the shower, as the steam helps absorb product, but I used it at night after cleansing 1x per week. I think it gives you a spa or sauna experience as skin feels very calm and it reduces redness around my cheek area, while also making pores look smaller.

Honestly this is a very rare product for me I have tried many cooling products before but this product actually warms up on the skin it feels very weird! But I thought it was cool, it did make my skin feel cleaner and I have no complaints but is not a product I would purchase because the sensation it leaves on my face is not my fave lol! Other than that it is a good product and it does what it claims to do, I would recommend to anyone that don’t feel bothered by anything warming on their face etc

I loved this product’s scent and how it heated up on my face. I use it while I’m in the tub and let it sit for awhile before washing it off. It smells great and is very relaxing! It is thick in consistancy, doesn’t run, and rinses off quickly, and doesn’t leave a film behind. My skin always feels soft right after the rinse off!

I’m really happy with this mask. There’s a lot that comes with the container and you don’t need to layer it thick on your face. I wouldn’t say this heats up that much, so don’t worry if that was a concern for you. If anything I think it could benefit from a little more heat. I would say though, I’ve been using this weekly after my aha/bha face mask, and I have been loving it. My skin feels unbelievably soft and clean afterwards without feeling stripped. It also doesn’t leave my face red or irritated at all. I’m super happy with the product and will continue using it

I received the Torhop Saunan Heating Salt Mask from 0.8L at a discounted price in exchange for my honest review. Upon opening the package you can tell this is made of high quality ingredients. The formula is a thick gritty paste like formula that has this beautiful teal color and smells heavenly. The smell alone would make me buy this again. It’s amazing. It comes with a super cute little scoop/applicator that attaches to the top seal under the lid for easy storage and use. The directions say to use with a little water, but not too much water. As far as directions go, it was a little confusing what was intended but I used the amount of water I felt was adequate to easily mix and distribute over my face. This is a mask so you have to leave it on for a few minutes. I only left it on my face for about 10 minutes. It feels amazing in your face. Very soothing. It starts out a little cool, then starts to lightly heat up. I think it uses the heat from your actual face to heat the salt scrub up. The directions does say that it works better if you have just had a hot shower so your pores are open. But I think it has something to do with how hot your face is too so it can heat up the salt scrub. I did not use it right out of the shower, but I did wash my face with warm water and used a warm steam before using the mask. This is how I usually apply face masks to ensure my face is clean and my pores are open. The mask worked fantastic for me. When I rinsed it off I used warm water and a circular motion to help exfoliate all the dead skin cells and any dirt or oil that may still be on my face. My skin felt so smooth and soft once everything was rinsed away. And did I mention how amazing this smells?? Having this formula on your face for about 10 minutes is amazing all in itself. Add the wonderful gentle exfoliating and smooth texture of your face once completed and it’s a holy grail product. This is a rare find to find a product that actually works how it should and smells so amazing and is still super gentle for your skin. I feel that anyone could use this salt mask. I do not have sensitive skin, but I feel that someone with sensitive skin could also use this as long as the fragrance didn’t bother them. It would be sad if they couldn’t use it, because the fragrance is the best part. This formula is amazing and I will definitely continue to use this product in my usual routine. Highly recommended.

I was both intrigued and hesitant to try the Torhop Saunan Heating Salt Mask. Intrigued because I have never heard of this heating element and I wanted to try it. But also hesitant because the myth of “heat makes you age faster” aka the sun + people industry recommending to use cold water over hot to rinse the face. Also, the salt reminds me of the the St. Ives face wash. Starting with this product, I jumped in quickly and slathered a thick layer on my skin and waited for it to heat up. The trick is not to leave too much water on your face after rinsing before applying this product which is what I did the first time around. I didn’t feel like the product heated up to what I expected, but I did endure a warm feeling. Lightly scrubbed in circular motions, and washed the remaining product away. The second time around, I rinsed my face and tried to remove as much water off while leaving my face moist. This time around, I felt more heat on my face and enjoyed the product more as I felt like it was a spa experience except I was cleaning my own face. I enjoyed this product, but don’t think I would keep this in my regular routine as I keep physical exfoliants in my routine. I should also mention the salt particles are very fine, but you do get a few larger particles. I scrubbed very very lightly in circular motions so I didn’t enlarge my pores.

I really enjoyed trying the Torhop Saunan Salt Spa mask.. I've never used a salt mask before so it was really unique and interesting to me. It's a nice super-size jar that comes with a handy little scoop which is always a plus as far as I'm concerned. The first thing that stands out well actually there are two things gs that strike you as you open the jar, The ocean blue-green pearlescent appearance and and the scent! Oh what a scent! It reminds you of a spa experience but something else too. Perhaps it's the aspen fir leaves that the wood is wrapped in when it's placed in the fire of an actual sauna but it's also the ocean too. If you don't care for heavy scents, this may not be for you. Ideally you should use it while you steam your face or in the shower but you Don't have to because it's actually self warming. The minute you put it on your skin it begins the thermal effect of warming up to help detox your pores. Do a gentle all over scrub and then leave it on for 5 to 15minutes depending on how sensitive your skin is. It is safe for all skin types. As it draws out dirt and sebum its also exfoliating your skin and it does that very well. Rinse it away and your left with a flushed, soft clean face that feels really nice and you can do this a couple times a week but even a single use weekly would give you the nutrients and benefits of the spirulina and jaaponica. You could use this mask pack anywhere you want, all over your bod if you wanted too! ( avoid your groin PLZ! ) This type of sauna treatment originates in Finland and I think they're onto something here! I found this to be a cool product that I would probably repurchase and continue to use. I would definitely recommend it! Just for the unique experience alone it's worth it. The Torhop Saunan Heating Salt Mask helps remove dead skin cells for clearer complexion and cleaner pores. I use this mask right after washing my face or even while bathing. The packaging says not to use too much water because it reduces the heat on the skin and also not to use too little water because it can cause irritation. I use little bit of water to help apply to skin and to gently massage my skin and leave it on for 5 minutes then rinse off. My skin feels a lot cleaner and I notice less clog pores. I usually have a few dry patches of skin near my forehead but it was remove with exfoliation. Also can be use 1 to 3 times a week depending on your skin. I use mine 2 times a weeks followed with a good moisturizer and sunscreen. I did like the scent of the scrub which has a nice ocean spa like scent. The scrub had some coarse salt which helps with acne prone skin and to clear out pores. I do like how it feels after using this scrub and my skin feels smoother.

This mask feels greasy when I apply it on my face, and warms up when I massage it. The heat helps to clean the pores pores and allow the mask ingredients to absorb. I will recommend this product for gentle exfoliation.

I really liked this product. My skin feels so smooth and soft after using this mask. The only issue I had was I didn't feel any heating of my face when I applied it. I even tried experimenting with how much water I left on my face before using it. I would feel some slight warming in my hands when I would be rubbing it on my face but none on my face really. At least not that I could tell. But that doesn't really matter to me. I only care about the results and I love the way my skin feels after using the mask. I had some very dry, scaly patches on and around my nose. After using this mask like twice they were almost completely gone. By the fourth use it was gone. I wouldn't recommend using the mask while in th shower it just melts right off your face and doesn't stay on long enough to really do anything.

The Torhop Saunan Heating Salt Mask is definitely a premium product. I thought that the heat would be unpleasant, but it is mild and it really helps opening the pores at the same time you are scrubbing the impurities and dirt away. My favorite thing is the after feeling, it’s not like other exfoliant scrubs that leave your skin like it’s been ripped off or extremely dry without natural oil, this one leaves my skin feeling smooth. I think that the combination of sugar and salt is what makes it work really good. I recommend a lot and would love to keep using it!

I love this mask , the gentle heat is very calming and relaxing. It also opens your pores which makes it easier to remove dirt , oil and other impurities that clog pores and cause break outs. The salt/sugar combination does an amazing job at exfoliating skin and removing dead skin cells and excess debri . It improves skin texture making it much smoother and softer. Plus it brightens your complexion , giving you a beautiful healthy glow. It also improves moisture and helps detoxify your skin. I don’t often like masks on my face unless it’s a sheet mask, but this mask was amazing! I love the way that it heated up as soon as you put it on. I could feel it working right away but it wasn’t too hot it was just right! In a few minutes I could feel this mask absorbing into my skin and just removing all the impurities inside it wasn’t too thick on your face like a mud mask or a charcoal mask it was absolutely a perfect texture and the salt and sugar combination just made my face feel that much cleaner when you did the circular motion, after the mask stayed on for the desired time. I love the natural Nordic salt and Finnish ingredients, These things definitely made the mask feel and smell luxurious I actually can’t get on and off about how much I loved this mask I would definitely repurchase, it it’s actually already in my Amazon basket for your purchase!
