I picked up a few bougie sunscreens to review. First is this great mineral sunscreen from @lapothicell_official. It's a mineral sunscreen with a matte finish so that you can wear it under your makeup. They claim it doesn't have a white cast but I disagree. There is definitely a cast but it isn't too noticeable. It's great for everyday use but I don't recommend it if you're exercising or swimming because it doesn't seem to hold up when wet or sweaty. I also felt like it didn't absorb very well. It seemed to sort of sit on my skin. Absorbability: 🌟🌟🌟 -Needs improvement. Staying Power: 🌟🌟🌟🌟 -Fine unless you get wet or sweaty. Functionality: 🌟🌟🌟🌟 -Nothing special.

☀️ The good? It has SPF 50 PA++++ and contains zinc oxide + titanium dioxide so its suitable for those who are sensitive to other sunscreen filters. It all pretty much goes downhill from there. ☀️ It has such a heavy white cast on my skin tone! It got into my hairline and gave my hair a ghostly tint as well. Even though I'm wearing foundation, I'm still giving off slight zombie vibes. ☀️ It has a heavy, very siliconey texture. It doesn't really absorb into my skin but rather sits atop it. It's marketed as a matte sunscreen and I'll give them credit-- it does have a matte finish. I will say at least it isn't drying. ☀️ Ingredient-wise, it features a ton of silicones as well as some soothing plant extracts like centella asiatica, aloe leaf extract, and chamomile extract. Most of the more interesting ingredients are towards the bottom of the ingredient list. It also contains fragrance-- although it isn't very noticeable when I apply it. ☀️ It's supposed to be lightweight and calming for the skin. It doesn't deliver on either of those claims for me. ☀️ Overall I'm not a fan of this sunscreen because it feels heavy on the skin and leaves me with a strong white cast.

☀️Lapothicell Mineral Sun cream ☀️ This is my second time trying a korean sunscreen/ sun cream and I'm never going back to the western ones 🤷🏻‍♀️ I'm so glad I got the chance to try this product because it is perfect for my skin type and needs ✨ ▪️SPF 50 and PA+++ ▪️Although at first glance it looks like it has a heavy texture it is actually very light. This sun cream absorbs quickly and does not leave a white cast or sticky feeling. ▪️This contains two physical blockers which provide both UVA and UVB protection, preventing both surface and deep skin damage. ▪️Key ingredients are Chamomilla flower extract and Aloe vera to soothe and rejuvenate the skin and salicylic acid to help fight acne. This is Lapothicell Natural Mineral Sun Protection. I have to say I was a little disappointed in this product. I love Lapothicell and I was expecting an amazing sunscreen. However this proved to be very thick in viscosity. It really reminded me of the sunscreens that are super thick and uncomfortable. I felt like this didn’t sink into the skin and I felt like I had to use a lot of product. You can make this work. What I did was I used a sponge to apply this and I mixed it with a moisturizer or a hydrating primer. I noticed this left my skin feeling very dry after application but it worked really well under a super Dewey foundation. It didn’t really work well at all with a matte foundation. I feel like my sunscreen should be able to work with my makeup rather than making my skin look dry and caked. I think you don’t get enough product for the $24 price tag. I appreciate the natural ingredients and the SPF 50 PA ++++ but I have so many other more affordable sunscreens that I LOVE. I am thankful to 0.8L for allowing me to try this product.

I prefer scentless or lighter smelling sunscreens due to my sensitive skin and nose. . 🤔Reflect & Conclusion: I like that it’s a mineral sunscreen and that it’s gentle on the skin. I like the semi-matte finish that didn’t over dry my skin and played well with foundation. The texture of the sun cream is okay but could be more lightweight. After using it some of my pores clogged and it gave me acne. A couple more dislikes for me include the scent and slight white cast. . I think in the drier season this would be a good sunscreen for me. I would recommend it to most skin types but beware of the white cast for deeper skin tones. It was gentle and non irritating on my sensitive skin but the strong scent could cause issues for others with sensitive skin. I would not repurchase because I don’t particularly like the scent. . This was a pretty good body sunscreen, but unfortunately I would not use it for my face, I just didn't like the texture and how it felt under my makeup. However, I took this on a trip and used nearly the whole thing, and didn't get burnt at all, so it does work. I got this from 0.8l in exchange for my honest review.

I like that the manufacture didn’t waste material to try and make the tube larger. I enjoy the clean and aesthetically pleasing aspect of the designs and color scheme. • ☀️Scent/Texture: I detected a fresh and clean scent, not like the other traditional sunscreens. It has a smooth, somewhat light texture so it’s easy to spread and apply. • ☀️ Performance: this is a physical sunscreen because it included ingredients such as zinc oxide and titanium oxide. Therefore, it left a little bit of white cast on my medium skin tone. It’s not bad on my neck/chest area though. It is a pleasure to use because I feel a cooling sensation during application. Afterward, my face looked soft matte but it didn’t feel tight or uncomfortable at all.
