I was so excited to try out a new product especially one with eggplant in it. I’ve never heard of eggplant being used in skincare products before now and having searched for other products I find it’s still a new concept since I only found a few. Sadly as soon as I opened the jar the smell hit me. It’s not a god awful scent, just slightly bitter and off putting since I have a sensitive nose and stomach. I powered through and used one pad on my face and neck, but the scent did not fade and seemed to linger making me want to gag. I tried using another product on top to see if it lessened the scent or masked it, but it didn’t. I ended up washing it off and set this aside to test again later, thinking maybe I was just being crazy picky. One week later I open the jar again so I can take photographs for this review... and the smell made me nauseated again. Some products are hits, but this one is a huge miss for me and I can’t even give a rating for hydration or cleansing. I gave it 2 stars for functionality because I love pre-moistened pads, but I’ll probably destash it to someone who is less sensitive than I am with smells. *I received this product at a discount from 08liter in exchange for my honest review*

U:re Skin Eggplant Master Clear Pad (courtesy of @0.8L_USA) I love my pad products and saw this one made with some interesting ingredients! It contains eggplant (not a lot of eggplant products out there), which has antibacterial and antiviral benefits to help speed up healing and prevent infections, as well as a high content of vitamin C, an antioxidant that will help bring a glow to your skin. It also has zeolite, which is a mineral used to absorb excess oil and sebum ~ and then there are some common ingredients that makes this great for oily or blemish prone skin ~ BHA is in here, to help unclog pores and remove excess sebum, tea tree for its antibacterial and anti-fungal benefits, healing your skin quickly. Moisturizing and nourishing glycerin, beta glucan and sodium hyaluronate will make sure your skin doesn't dry out. . . These pads come in a huge white plastic tub and they are in the shape of a flower (so cute). One side is quilted and the other is not, so use the quilted side for some physical exfoliation and then the soft side to wipe. These do smell like tea tree, but it is not overpowering. I found that if my face is dirty, these pads wipe clean, with no residue.. but if my face is CLEAN, the pad's essence will foam up a bit on my skin ~ it is strange ~ I think it is because of the polyglyceryl-4 caprate, which is a surfacant and could be causing the foaming action if your skin is clean. At any rate, the foam does dissolve quickly, but it is weird to see that ~ however, at least I know when my skin is clean!! lol This does have a pH of a 6, so it is not really going to be a great chemical exfoliator, but daily use of even a weak chemical acid will provide hydration and exfoliation benefits over time. . . These are a decent pad and I like using wipes and pads when I get home from work or first thing in the morning. Implementing the U:RE Cosmetic Eggplant Master Clear pad into my skincare routine has helped calmed down the inflammation of the blemishes that is in the beginning stage of forming. . Used right after i do a simple cleansing with micellar water, I use the cleansing pads to make sure everything is gone that the micellar water couldnt get to. Followed after by a toner, and I am set for an all day cleanse. 🙌🏼 . It contains zeolite which has the ability to absorb, hold, release, and exchange different chemicals, nutrients, and toxins according to what your body needs. It helps draw out impurities to help pave the way for better, clear skin. Bascially, it takes away the bad and replaces it with the good. The pads also contain tea tree which is the scent of the pads. . These pads have eggplant extract which aids in off setting cancer and tumor growth on skin. . The pads are slightly textured, but not in the sense that it is rough. Just enough so that the essence can soak the entire pad.
