Definitely one of my favorite cleansers. I feel it pulling as I massage in my dry face and then I scrub while Robson. Off and my skin is so clean feeling and soft. If you were second guessing this don’t. Definitely a must try!!!

I have a decent amount of blackheads on my face so I was really excited to try this product. The directions tell you to apply it directly to dry skin and proceed to scrub for 1 minute. I did this everyday for a week and saw no difference. I'm wondering if there is a scrub that should be used in tandem with this product, all I know is that it didn't work for me. **I received this product at a discount for my honest review**

The Bonajour Perfect Sebum Cleansing Gel is a "hypoallergenic sebum removal product for smooth skin without black/white heads." It contains peat water, which is supposed to absorb and drag out any sebum and tighten your pores. It is free of toxic chemicals and parabens. The product itself is a grey liquid gel. You are to apply it to dry skin and scrub it on your face for one minute. It doesn't foam up well, but I found that if you put a dab of water in it and then lather it in your hands first, works best. It does have a light fragrance that reminds me of hair spray. I like that it is a gel cleanser and has a pump. The pump made it easier to dispense the product. I only needed 2 pumps for my face. The only dislike I found was that once you begin to wash it off, it makes your face feel like there is still product on your skin. Instead of my face feeling clean, it felt slippery while still wet. As for the claims of removing sebum? I'm not so sure it did it's job. Then again, it could be that I wasn't seeing any real results because I didn't have the time to use it long enough. Would I purchase in the future? Maybe. Yes, I like the concept of removing sebum and being a gel cleanser. No, I didn't like the feeling after rinsing my face.

They are ALL NATURAL & CRUELTY FREE! Love at 1st wash! 🌿 2nd if I've said it once, I've said it a million times-I'M OILY SKINNED! PERIOD. So any #cleanser is my friend, especially #oilcontrol types. 🌿 The Perfect Sebum Cleansing Gel has an ingredient list is not commonly found in most cleansers. Including- PEAT WATER: absorbs & drags out sebum as you rub on skin. TANNIC ACID: astringent & antioxidant (historically used w/ charcoal to detoxify). This botanical gel cleanser is great for those who workout a lot and are prone to breakouts. It does a great job of deep effective pore cleansing as the gel goes on thin and dries tightening skin. It's then washed off with warm water afterwards leaving skin feeling very fresh and clean. 🤗

It is very runny and leaves behind a dark cast, so be careful not to get it everywhere! I use about 2-3 bumps and it's not very generous on the lather, but it really does help remove makeup and toxins from my skin. After the first use, I've noticed my pores were a lot cleaner and my skin was AMAZING soft. It takes a couple of minutes to rinse off but it could be because my skin feels SO good, I'm not sure if I completely rinse it off. The bonus, my skin does not feel stripped and it just feels so good. This is now a staple in my night time routine and I've been using this every night for the last two weeks! Bonajour Perfect Sebum Cleansing Gel claims to control sebum and remove blackheads and whiteheads, drags out your sebum making your skin elastic and tightening your pores. The gel arrived in a dark grey slender box and inside was a plastic bottle with a pump to dispense the gel.    The box has information about the gel as well as directions in English, but the bottle only has a description about the product in English (no directions in English on the bottle). You can use the gel up to 6 months after opening it.  The gel is dark in color, like a transparent black, and it is thick.  The directions indicate to apply on dry skin and scrub for a minute, then cleanse it softly.   I have been using this twice a day, in the morning and evening.  I like that it has a pump as it makes it easier to use, especially when you are scrubbing your face.  The gel is thick, but also a little runny and can be messy to apply. I thought it was a little weird to apply it to my dry face, as water will typically help it foam, but I followed their instructions.  When I applied this to my face, I had a little trouble trying to use one pump of the gel for half my face as it was so thick it didn't want to spread, so I found myself using several pumps to clean my face.  Once I started scrubbing the gel turned white. After I rinsed the gel, my face felt tight and my pores did shrink some. I do like this cleanser and feel that it does a good job at giving my face a deep clean.   I do like the end results of this Sebum Cleansing Gel from Bonajour and I will continue to use it.   I do recommend this gel.  You can purchase this for $14.00 for a 3.5fl.oz. bottle. This is an incredibly EFFECTIVE product (oh joy!) and worked well on my male partner as well. It is a loose watery black gel consitency that easily dispenses by pump. Scent was very light and palatable. I used a light layer, then washed with warm water and light sponge to a creamy foam before rinsing. My skin felt dry smooth and matte, without feeling drawn, tight, or dehydrated after my 1st use. Bottle is large and ought last at least 2 months with daily use.
