Hi guys! I’m back with a new review and today we’re looking at @bonajour #perfectsebumcleansinggel . This gel is meant to provide your skin with a natural deep cleanse to remove excess sebum (aka oils) therefore reducing any possible white or black heads from forming. It’s done by using peat water and their trademark ingredient EVERMAT among others to accomplish this goal! . The consistency was a little weird for me to get used to at first, but now I love it because it spreads so easily and a little goes a long way! 👌🏻 . After using this for a few weeks I can definitely say my face is less oily and I haven’t had any major breakouts since using it! It can be a little drying sometimes so definitely follow up with a hydrating product and your skin will love you in the morning! . I rate this a 4.5/5! ⭐️ . . I just received the bonajour perfect cleansing gel from 0.8L for review purposes but since I just got it I need a couple days to try it out to give my honest opinion. Just a quick Description of this product is ment for Blackhead, Whitehead Remover Perfect Sebum Cleansing Gel With Natural Ingredients Deep Pore Cleanse. So hopefully it works for my white and black heads and I will update soon .

I was very excited to be able to try @Bonajour Perfect Sebum Cleansing Gel at trial fee from @08l_usa. This cleanser is a little different in that you apply to a dry face. The gel is a slightly watery consistency when applied and soaks into the skin. Once water is added, it lathers up very nicely and a small amount goes a long way. This being a gel cleanser containing Peat water it allows for great absorption of sebum buried in the pores. It also left my skin feeling squeeky clean which is a feeling that I like. If you suffer with larger pores or acne, this cleanser is for you.

Product was provided by Bonajour in conjunction with 0.8L for a trial fee. This cleanser contains an ingredient called Peat Water, which helps to absorb and remove excess Sebum, resulting in minimized pores, blackheads, and whiteheads. While it works rather well, I was a bit disappointed that the texture was more liquid (watered down) than gel. Aside from that, it's not bad. I like using it after cleansing oil, and my face doesn't feel dried out afterward.

I had to read twice that they want you to apply their product to dry skin. At first it does cause a white cast and then slowly absorbs into your skin after 1 minute of circulating. Once I washed my face I noticed it didnt suds off, but miraculously made my skin feel really clean. I haven't used this product long enough to know how it'll affect my whiteheads just yet.

Bonajour’s Perfect Sebum Cleansing Gel kind of feels like a liquid serum... it has a very thin, almost runny consistency. There are tiny dark granules mixed into the liquid/gel, which feel to be tiny jell like balls vs. harsh granules like sugar or sand. So, between the thin serum-like base solution & the softer gel like granules, I’ve found this cleanser to be very mild & gentle on my skin. Perfect Sebrum Cleansing Gel claims the following: ✅ Helps to rid ones face of Whitehead & the subsequent Blackheads that generally follow. ✅ Controls & strengthening the sebum - or oil secretion on one’s face. ✅ Helps to cleanse the skin without disrupting the gentle balance of the pH of the skin. To be honest, I wasn’t too well versed on Sebum and what exactly it was until I tested this product. So, I will share what I have learned about Sebum: —-> Sebaceous glands are found all over the body & help control how oil is secreted from the body. Some of what is secreted from our skin are things such as fat, keratin, and over all cellular debris. —-> Many people believe that you need to almost wipe out the oils that are found & secreted on your face in order to control anything from breakouts to excessive shine. —-> ***However!!! This is not entirely true!!! Oils on our face also serve good purposes too, which is why you want to be mindful to maintain some balance with your face & the oils naturally occurring there!! ❌❗️—> Those that struggle w oily skin, please keep this in mind!!! So, I too struggle with some oiliness on my face as well, but in general, I have much more combination skin. Since I deal with both oily & dry skin, I have to find products that fall somewhere in the middle - or often use multiple products to address them both. ‼️BUT I can NOT stress this enough, those prone to more oily skin... don’t try to dry out all the oiliness on your face - b/c this will lead to disrupting the pH balance even further and stripping your skin of good stuff too. In turn, this often then creates additional sensitivities, breakouts, tenderness, & a stripped feeling of Dry or chapped skin! *Remember, a certain amount of oil is there to PROTECT your skin from environmental toxicity’s and more. mmmmm black liquids... lemme sit it right next to my Lady Gaga Fame perfume. This deliciously dark cleansing gel is by @bonajour_official which claims to not only remove sebum but 'drag it out' as well 😎 . . . It features peat and lichen which makes me think of the PTR Irish moor mask (which is amazing by the way) but also EVERMAT which after some googling is the enantia chlorantha bark extract. This is an African tree which is already used in traditional medicine, but for this topical application they are claiming that it helps to regulate sebum and shrink pores . . . I can't say that this helped drag out my sebum, but as a second cleanser this was quite gentle and effective at cleaning off any makeup I missed or oil cleanser that still lingered. I didn't check the pH until today; I suspected it was low since it didn't foam up too much and didn't leave my face feeling squeaky. When I did test the pH it came out around pH 6, so not too shabby. . . . Overall I am pretty pleased with this cleanser, it looks nice, has a nice fresh scent, looks kewl, and is low pH. I would say the only drawback is that the normal price is 14 usd for 100ml. It's not terribly high, but as a person who doesn't skimp on cleanser use I wish the bottle was a bit bigger. After the 2 weeks my skin definitely looked brighter, hydrated, fresh faced and my blackheads were nowhere to be found so this product did exactly what it said so I highly recommend as a add on to your facial regimen👍🏽👍🏽

Also it includes a variety of other natural ingredients that help regulate sebum and shrink the pores. Also it claims to make skin texture softer due to rough texture caused by sebum. 🖤🖤🖤 How to use it: pump some onto hands and apply to DRY SKIN, kind of lightly scrubbing on your face for a minute. Then cleanse softly with warm water and gently dry. You should immediately see skin brighter, less blackheads and whiteheads and softer smoother skin! It’s good for any skin type as well! 🖤🖤🖤 I’ve been using this for about 3 weeks. I don’t use it every night but about every other. This gets out the white and black heads that I get on my nose. It has helped as one of the products to lighten the dark melanin on my face. Super in love with this Bonajour Perfect Sebum Cleansing Gel! First off, it smells FABULOUS. The consistency is a bit more runny than I expected, but the product lathers up nicely so a little goes a long way. I'm such a sucker for natural products (surprise, surprise) & skincare that helps control sebum production because I have acne-prone skin. I tend to break out a lot when I'm either stressed or due to a change in my diet. This cleanser has slowly, but surely, made a difference in the texture of my skin. Ever since I started using it, my face has felter softer and bouncier. For the price of only $14, I highly recommend it! :)

After being delayed in customs for over 2 months, Bonajour's Perfect Sebum Cleansing Gel FINALLY arrived! Thank goodness! This cleanser is unlike anything I've heard of. Instead of a cream or foam, this uses a gel formula. You wash your face as usual first. You apply it to clean dry skin, leave it for a bit and then massage it in for about a minute. Only then do you add warm water, lather and rinse it off. (I recommend a cleansing brush for that step.) Doing so grabs all the sebum and oil in your pores and pulls it out. You're left with visibly cleaner, tighter pores. If you have an existing blemish it will help dry it out. This isn't for daily use. It's best a few times a week in place of an exfoliating cleanser. (I use this in the AM and a exfoliating scrub that evening.) You have to use quite a lot of it because it's difficult to massage it for a full minute with only a quarter size amount. It takes about twice that amount, and for this reason I would like to see this product offered in a larger bottle. It's very gentle and doesn't smell. I don't currently have a camera good enough to show you, but my nose has almost no blackheads after using this a handful of times. The ones left are easier to extract. It's great! I followed this with another Bonajour product, their 3-in-1 spot treatment. Together, painful inflammation and acne don't stand a chance! Mine was free but it's currently only $14 on Amazon. I'm so crazy for this cleansing gel. I want more! Even my dude wanted to buy a bottle! Hydration: ⭐⭐⭐ Removes sebum without oil but leaves skin feeling dry. Moisturization: ⭐⭐⭐ Improves skin barrier but doesn't retain moisture. Requires heavy moisturizer after use. Effective in cleansing: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Strong but gentle and very effective if used correctly.

It's official, I have just added Bonajour Perfect Sebum Cleansing Gel into my nighttime skincare routine. This cleanser is great. I'm not exactly sure as to why it's considered a gel cause it dispenses as a semi-thick liquid, maybe they should've called it a liquid gel instead. Ok, let me give you the details: I only need one good pump of this dark liquid at night. I usually apply the liquid directly to my skin and in gentle circular motions, I work it in. Once the gel changes into a thick white color I then rinse it off with warm water. I kid you not, but you'll have nothing but smooth soft skin. I'm not sure if it cleans out the pores because I'm one of those girls who truly have benefited since starting a Korean skincare routine; meaning that my pores have long ago been cleaned of all sebum. Pro: Love that its easily dispensed from a pump. Absolutely in love with how soft and smooth my skin is after each use. I have no irritation after use. Fits seamlessly in my routine. Con: None. I need to use it longer, but I truly couldn't find anything wrong with this cleanser. I’ve been testing out the @bonajour_official Perfect Sebum Cleansing Gel off and on for the past couple weeks and I have some mixed thoughts about it. This cleansing gel is what’s considered to be a “pool cleanser” and those who have checked out my blog in the past know there is one pool cleanser that I particularly enjoy, so I was excited to give this a try! • The gel is runny, but it thickens up as you begin to massage it onto your dry skin. How it works is when you apply a small amount to dry skin (enough to spread around but too much will render the experience worthless) it works it’s way around and it’s funny texture will literally pull dead skin, blackheads, and such away from your skin! • The problem with this particular one is that I can feel the gummy pull on my skin, but it doesn’t actually help clean anything - no different in pores, and no loosened clogs. Is it a decent facial cleanser? Sure! Does it do what’s it’s meant to do as a cleanser? Not in my opinion. On to the claims of this product: 🔹sebum control & deep pore cleanse 🔹removes Whiteheads & blackheads 🔹tightens pores 🔹made with peat water & natural ingredients 🔹fragrance and cruelty free This is a gel cleanser made with peat water that is suppose to absorb and remove sebum while tightening the pores. It states that it’s fragrance free but it has sweet scent which isn’t overpowering. I actually like the scent. The cleanser is to be used on dry skin, massaged for 1 minute then apply water to foam up the cleanser. The cleanser is very gentle on the skin with no stripping. I recommend this cleanser especially if you have dry/sensitive skin.
