The finish is ever so tacky. . 🍓Scent: At first application, I was hit with a strong scent of alcohol followed by their signature berry/floral scent. While I don’t mind alcohol in the ingredients cause it’s most likely used to penetrate the other ingredients but I would rather not smell it. . 🍓Performance: This toner is surprisingly hydrating for not being viscous. I spent a week in Las Vegas where the weather was dry, hot and humid, and had constant AC blasting. The hard water there also caused my skin to become very dry and unhappy. Luckily, I brought this toner and it was really put to the test. I could tell this really helped to hydrate and prep my skin for the rest of my routine. I even applied it to my body before my body lotion because my skin was so dry. My hubby who has dry, sensitive skin also used this toner during the trip and agrees his skin felt more hydrated after using this toner. I like to layer this 3 times because my skin feels so plump and my skin glows. I’m kinda disappointed that this toner doesn’t smell like berries! It has more of a perfumish type of fragrance. This toner hasn’t caused my skin to breakout and isn’t too drying for my face. I've only been using this toner for about 4 days (shipping delays) so this is more of a first impressions review. This toner is great for the 7-skin method. It's not so thick that it becomes sticky after 3-skins and not so thin that at 7-skins you still need more moisture. It layers well with my other skincare without piling. It's kept my skin hydrated for a work day without having to mist or add any extra moisturizer. It doesn't have any strong fragrance and has not caused any irritation to my skin. Very soothing and calming; helping to relieve redness caused by exfoliating acids. So far I'm really enjoying this toner. I wanted to love this so bad, Even tried it after finding out what was in it 😖😝 .. hoping It was so amazing I can overlook the many yucky ingredients. 🖤 Recieved the Very Moist Berry Recipe Toner compliments of 0.8L & Dessert Table in exchange for my honest review🖤 I applied the toner to a cotton pad, dabbed a little on my skin. It had a pleasant scent, but slightly burned as soon as it touched my skin. Another dab & more irritation. This is probably why: 3rd ingredient is alcohol, 2nd ingredient is a type of alcohol 3 of the ingredients have Moderate Hazard scores due to Contamination concerns (the ones with "PEG"- see photo). It's possible these ingredients are contaminated by dangerous carcinogens. Usually they are unintentional byproducts of a process that reduces skin irritation caused by petroleum based ingredients. (isnt the sheer fact you have to reduce an ingredients "irritation" reason enough to just not use it?). I have to point out there is no way to confirm the presence of these hazards without a purity test or document/verification from the company. Companies arent required to do this. STILL it's possible there is nothing harmful, you just really never know. This line is marketed around "superberries" & their benefits/results. The berries are in the ingredients, & I agree they work great. There is no mention of the other ingredients, and it's actually difficult to find them online. I find this misleading - I've been using their Berry Moist cream for about a month and was under the impression this company used mostly natural ingredients. I love the cream, but cannot find ingredients anywhere. It's possible the cream can have nothing harmful in it - but I'm learning when a company has nothing to hide they disclose everything. Yes, this toner contains these superberries - but they are the last ingredients listed with many more before them. Hate to leave another review like this, but it's honest 😚😚. Plenty of great toners with ALL great ingredients.

Also, with all their products from the Very Moist line, they are formulated with niacinamide and adenosine which have anti-aging and anti-inflammatory properties. Review:💭 When I tried the 5 step system, this was my least favorite product, right out of the pouch it had an extremely strong alcohol smell which put me off. I assumed this was going to be super drying. When I received this cute milk bottle full of their 'skin/toner', I was pleasantly surprised. It had the same delicious smell I've come to love. It's a very fruity, berry smell with slight floral notes. It's so fresh and uplifting. I apply this to my face using my hands and pat it in, immediately my skin is left soft and glowing. It even works fabulously with my other skincare products. I love dessert table and all their products, I may have received a dud previously, but this redeemed itself. Seriously you guys, this line has done amazing things for my skin. (I want to keep this review next to the matching lotion, so I'm reviewing before fully testing it) So I can only go by somewhat first impression/try. The berry line from dessert table has 5 berry extract, Niacinamide, and adenosine, which helps with brightening, anti-aging and soothing the skin. It claims to calm, hydrate and balance the skin. The toner has very similar ingredients in the lotion as well, but the texture is different. This toner has a texture in between what a toner and serum would be, not too watery, but not too slimy. Kinda like jelly water. (in the photo it looks creamy white, but it's really clear, I had sunscreen on the back of my hand and it mixed in to look cloudy white.) The scent is the same because they do have added fragrance, which I forgot to mention in my previous post. This toner also has a high level of alcohol 3rd on the list, but the lotion is alcohol-free. But this explains why today I felt drier after using the toner and lotion, compared to only using the lotion itself. I actually feel dry and matte and I'm not sure if I like that. however, this might help the cut down the greasiness I felt on my forehead I get with the lotion. however, I will have to check up in later with a long-term use update. Would I buy?: undecided but leaning to no. too drying because of the alcohol level and the ingredients are the same as the lotion, I rather just use the lotion and a better essence or toner.
