This @hanaleicompany lip scrub is the perfect balance of scrub and moisture. I find some lip scrubs contain so many scrub granules that they are too harsh on my lips and some do not contain enough. This version has a melt point similar to coconut oil. I dab some on my lips and scrub in a circular motion. I prefer to leave mine on for a few minutes post exfoliating, to let the natural oils and ingredients soak in to my lips before gently wiping particles away. I follow up with a lip treatment and have heard great things about hanalei's...I may just have to snag that as well! It can be a temporary solution if you want to have your lips scrubbed. I have not tried it for that many times so personally I havent seen much difference in my lips texture and color.

Received this @hanaleicompany Sugar Lip Scrub from @0.8l_usa to test out! I wear tons of liquid lipsticks so I definitely need to exfoliate, but I've never used a lip scrub before--the closest thing I've tried is Elf's lip exfoliator stick, or I just use a toothbrush and scrub my lips with warm water and coconut oil. I like this product a lot. I've been reaching for it even after testing it and taking pictures. It smells really good (fresh and citrusy, not cloyingly sweet) and as you can see, it does its job (my lips themselves in this photo are completely unretouched). The packaging is cute and it comes with a lot of product considering you don't need to use much at once. I do like this product. I was comparing it with the Lush sugar scrub. This is one is like a balm, so it contains much more oil which means more moisturizing. However, according to the instruction, you do need to wipe it off, otherwise you will have a thick layer of oil on your lips which is not washable. I wish I can just lick it off which makes it easier. The scrub part is a little on the gentle side, so it's good for everyday use.

Trying out a new lip scrub product! I really like this product from Hanalei Beauty Company. It has a sweet taste from the sugar, along with an excellent gritty texture to get the job done. My lips feel plumper, smoother, and more moisturized after using this scrub. Would I purchase this product? Yep! It is one of the better lip scrubs that I've tried, as it doesn't crumble all over the place. The exfoliation is comfortable, and not excessive. The product has a citrus smell and feels like a sugar scrub. My lips have been very dry lately so I have not used any scrubs in order to test how effective this one is. After using it, my lips felt like I put lip balm on. It really smoothed out my lips but there were still some dry areas. My lips were in pretty bad condition before using the product so it's amazing that my lips can feel this smooth after one use. I think if I use it more times, my lips will be completely soft with no chap areas.

Oh. Lippie selfies with no lip color. I'm pretty good at picking products that hide my dry patches. What you can see, the dry flakes in the before picture is a constant battle for me. This hanalei lip scrub is formulated with Hawaiian Kakui nut oil, to nourish the lips, while it scrubs away dry dead skin from your lips. It's starts out pretty thick, and melts into oil on your lips. The sugar about medium grain. It's not overly rough, but not super fine. While this product does get the job done, the sugar to oil ratio seems a bit off, and the sugar all wants to migrate to the outside parts of my lips while I massage it in. This also contains lemon oil, which gives it a lemon scent and a flavor like over-sweetened lemonade. It also has a lot of petrolatum.. so don't eat it. I'm not a huge fan of the smell and flavor, or the migrating sugar, but with a couple minutes, and some extra patience given to the middle of my lips, it really works great to remove dry patches, and leave my lips smooth, soft and conditioned. If you're prone to dryness, I do recommend using a lip balm after to protect those new baby lips. This came free to review from @0.8l_usa

This is my first product test from @0.8l_usa and I am very excited to share my opinion with you! This is the first lip scrub I've ever tried so I had no idea what to expect. The packaging box is beautiful. This lip scrub is in an easy to open jar with a pull tab. The first thing I noticed was the consistency and coloring. It is of white color and thick consistency, the sugar granules are not noticeable. It does not move around in the jar which is great because that means I won't lose/waste any of the lip scrub and it stays on my finger, not runny at all. Upon application of the lip scrub I noticed a sweet taste on my lips and the scent of lemon which was very pleasant to the senses. It has just the right amount of exfoliant not to be irritating to the delicate lip area. I waited a moment or so before rinsing and immediately noticed that my lips were soft and more supple than they were before use of this lip scrub. It exfoliates, smells great, it doesn't move around in jar and it has benefits afterwards, my lips stay soft and moisturized. Two thumbs up from me!
