I have been dying to try that black pore mask that was going around the internet. I was so stoked to see it offered on 0.8L! It definitely did the job, however, not as much as I would have liked. I definitely noticed quite a few spots that looked like they hadn’t even been touched. Perhaps I didn’t put enough on to make it strong enough? It has a slight scent of PVA glue (craft glue) but not overwhelming. That definitely is what it reminds me of.

Great face scrub. Great exfoliation and really cleans and gets into skin. Leaves my skin soft and glowy. I can even taste the salt when rinsing not purposely of course but definitely does what it says. A must try

This Charcoal Salt Clearing Scrub by ClariSEA is so luxurious! The scent is light and fresh, the texture is thick and full, & the result is skin that feels soft, clean and refreshed. Another great clariSEA product I was able to review through 08L USA is their #CharcoalSaltCrushClearingScrub. It's similar to the other clariSEA scrub I tried, except this one adds sea salt for extra exfoliation. Other ingredients include coconut charcoal, organic aloe, organic jojoba oil, witch hazel and rosewater. These are clarifying ingredients, meaning you will also get a deep clean using this scrub. The salt and bark used as an exfoliant is very gentle and the beads dissolve after you add a bit of water. By that time the product has shifted from the consistency of a black face mask to a simple clay cleansing mask. As you continue to add warm water, the grey clay slips right off. I had the best results when I applied it as a mask first, let it sit for a moment, and then began adding warm water and massaging in circles. My skin feels soft, clean and smooth when I'm done. As with their #skinlikenewmicrodermabrasion products, it takes consistent use to see gradual results. Some may be frustrated by this but I actually prefer it. It means these are gentle products safe enough for all skin types! Plus, in my experience, skin care that takes longer to be effective also lasts longer. I sort of like this... It’s a charcoal/salt scrub. It smells like charcoal and salt, it’s subtle though. I don’t know what I thought I was purchasing but it wasn’t this. This is a true oil/salt scrub. You massage it into dry skin. It applies black and the more you rub it, it turns a dark gray, continue rubbing and it turns a light gray. It is exfoliating and moisturizing but I don’t like the residue that’s left after rinsing the product off.

I really want to like this product but I can't. It dries out my skin like crazy. Perhaps, salt content is too strong so it create this hypertonic environment on my skin and just sucks out moisture of my skin. I live in a very humid area, and yet I experience this, imagine the drastic dryness this would cause in the dry weather. I have combination skin type. I think someone with oily skin would benefit from this.

It is a charcoal (detoxifying) mask & a grainy salt scrub all in 1 product! It is EXCELLENT! I will say that if you have any breakouts going on to be extra gentle when using this, especially if you have any acne that is really inflamed or draining. The salt in this product will burn a bit with those with acne, but it will also help to start drying out those zits!! ✅ I had a big break out going on before testing this product. Also, remember to be mindful of the amount of pressure you use while scrubbing your face or body with any exfoliation type products. Generally, they have sugar, salt, or similarly grainy type material in the product already. Let that grainy solution do the heavy lifting & try not to over do it in the scrubbing department, or you’ll likely end up with sore angry skin that is stripped of all of the good stuff too!! ***Don’t be afraid to invest in a good quality facial & body scrub, because it will be money WELL spent. Next to Moisturizers, I believe a quality cleansing scrub is one of THE MOST important products in skin care & beauty, because Having smooth skin is the foundation of everything we put on to our skin from make up - to skin care. Not only will your make up go on so much smoother, your skin care will also be absorbed & therefore MUCH more efficient! I received this product at a reduced rate in exchange for my review. All opinions are my own. This facial scrub uses powdered sea salt and bamboo charcoal to help you achieve clear skin. Also included in the formulation are organic aloe vera, organic jojoba oil and organic vegetable glycerin, all meant to add hydration back to the skin after manual exfoliation. This product is 100% natural and naturally derived, which is pretty awesome! Most scrubs i've tried have used things like ground walnut shells or plastic beads to help slough off those dead skin cells. Although those did work, this works better!! This scrub is made with salt granules that, once water is added, they slowly start to dissolve, so by the time your ready to rinse, there is no scrubbing particles left! It's a genius idea really!! This is not meant to be used daily, but a few times a week, to help get rid of buildup and leave you glowing! I really love this scrub!! First of all after using make sure to clean up the mess, I'm so glad I was using this in the shower because I wouldn't want to get all that black on the counter..LOL. The clean up is very easy in the shower and that's where I recommend using this. I really like this charcoal sea salt exfoliating scrub and I didn't have to use as much as I did probably, maybe a nickel size dab and my skin was very clean and felt clean. I did have to use a bit more moisturizer but my skin has been awful dry lately, but that's my own fault for having slacked off for a week out of having the blahs. I also wouldn't get this too close to the eye area as it may tend to dry it a bit too much. All in all I'd definitely recommend it to anyone but limited to a couple times a week. Another thumbs up from this Utah gal. No break outs or flakey skin.
