[PRODUCT REVIEW] . Intermission Rest-up Aqua Cream is a refreshing gel cream meant to provide your skin with a healthy dose of hydration while maintaining sebum control. Its main ingredients are sea daffodil for moisture and dark spot brightening; marine bamboo for nourishing damaged skin and maintaining elasticity; bamboo sap for moisturization and maintaining the water balance of the skin; and centella for its soothing and anti-inflammatory properties. It also contains niacinamide for help with congestion and uneven skin tone. This is formulated This cream comes in a cute heavyweight pink plastic jar with a twist off cover and a curved spatula. The cream has a slight medicinal scent, translucent white color and a water cream texture. The cream feels lightweight and spreads easily but I found that it does not absorb quickly and actually left a sticky residue behind initially, but it does eventually set and the tacky feeling disappears. . I love this line based on their use of centella extract as a base instead of purified water in their products. I’ve been testing out this gel cream for the past few days. I’ve mostly been using this during my PM routine and my skin does feel hydrated and soft immediately after application and when I wake up. Also, I haven’t had any new breakouts, which is always one of my concerns when trying new moisturizers. While it is a soothing and hydrating moisturizer for my PM routine, it feels surprisingly heavy on my skin during daytime use. Rest-up Aqua Cream was not a good match for me as soon as I put it on my whole face started itching. I had to rewash my whole face. It stayed pink for the next two days and was sensitive to the sun. I don’t know what would have made me react like this. I hope everyone else enjoys this vey rich thick cream. It looks like it would be heavy, but is a heavy gel and sinks into your skin fast. Since I have oily/combo acne-prone skin, whenever I hear the words aqua or gel in a moisturizer, I immediately want to slather it all over my face. This cream has a light texture but I would say it’s closer to a true cream than it is to a water-based gel cream. Upon application, it applies with a white cast but after working it in it absorbs fine. Though I still tend to feel the layer of moisturizer on my skin, the slight tackiness dissipates within a few seconds. I do think it’s still on the oily side though it claims to be a gel cream, and it doesn’t do me any favors in terms of regulating oil (though it doesn’t claim to). The water-type cream claim is interesting considering there is no water in the ingredients list, in fact the first ingredient is centella. The jury is still out, but this is probably better suited for dry skin types to use in hotter months. I’m intrigued by the unique brightening properties of the sea daffodil, so I may give it another try during colder months but for now it’s going in my stash. This is a semi opaque white cream that has a bouncy gel-like texture. It has a faint clean botanical smell that fades quickly as it absorbs into the skin. You guys! Stop what you're doing and go buy a jar of this. For real. You know how cream moisturizers are waaaaay too thick for summer use? #RestUpAquaCream from @intermission.global is the answer to all your problems. I'm not even flinching at the idea of dropping $40 when it's time to repurchase because it will be worth it. There are a few things that make this a unique moisturizer. First of all, this has an unusual consistency. It's a gel-cream hybrid that sinks into skin immediately. They call this their "crystal liquid system." You get the benefits of a thick cream and the light, comfortable texture of a soothing gel. Second, like everything else in the #RestUp line by Intermission, the Aqua Cream has no harmful ingredients like alcohol, fragrance, silicone or fillers & is cruelty free. It has the same base of centella asiatica, sea daffodi and marine bamboo. The other main ingredient is giant timber bamboo, which is crazy high in minerals and "helps the skin maintain a balance of sebum and moisture, and delivers an immediate dose of hydration to parched skin for plump, dewy skin." This is the fourth @intermission.global product @08l_usa has sent me. I can't sing the praises of the Rest Up line enough. These are the most gentle products I've ever tried. This is a honest review for Intermission's Rest Up Aqua Cream that was a try for $3.99. I don't have much to say about this Aqua Cream since I didn't receive it that long ago, therefore I couldn't use it long enough to review well. Though when I used it, it did moisturize the skin well. Even though it seems heavy it wasn't that heavy on the skin and kept my skin moisturized all day long. It absorbs in the skin well but you can feel how moisturized your skin is. This cream is most suited for really dry skin.

The Rest-up aqua cream from Intermission is a gel cream that is intended to soothe sensitive/irritated skin. The product claims to be lightweight, but I found it to be on the heavier side. At least too heavy for the current weather we’ve been having in Boston. Definitely could see this being a great cream in the winter months. The cream did absorb quickly into skin once applied. It has an herbal type smell to it. The main ingredients in the cream are Centella and Sea Daffodil. I was surprised that this cream said it was for every type of skin EXCEPT dry skin. I would think more so for dry skin than any other... the cream claims to help with anti-aging, brightening, moisturizing and skin smoothing. I only used this a few times as we had a heatwave last week and this was a bit too heavy. However, from what I saw so far it did leave my skin feeling moisturized. I liked that the packaging was in English so I could understand what the cream was intended for. I will definitely continue to use this cream when it gets cooler out. Currently I am trying out Intermission Rest-up aqua cream. It claims to provide refreshing hydration and smooth and supple feel. It claims to be dermatologist tested and great for all skin types except dry skin. It claims to be relaxing,brightening, antiwrinkle and smoothing too. 🤗 Here are my initial thoughts 💭 .. 🔸 Tub packaging 🔸 Patchouli and floral fragrance 🔸 Light weight cream texture 🔸 Absorbs quickly 🔸 Non tacky feeling upon application 🔸 Contains Sea daffodil, Centella, Himanthalia elongata The packaging looks really classy and elegant. It comes with a cute mini spatula too. I did not like patchouli scent in it. It provides medium hydration and does not make my combo skin greasy. I am yet to see any anti ageing effects in 5 day use. It did not brighten my skin. My skin felt hydrated after use.

Another day another review 🙃 . When I saw this I was expecting it to be very lightweight, water cream like. To my sweet surprise it was thicker and more moisturizing than most gel creams. Although, looking at the texture you'd think otherwise. It really looks like gel cream but applies almost like Clinique moisture surge moisturizer. So, be aware that it might be a little too heavy if you're looking for something like the Tatcha water cream. I, however, did notice that once it dries down it doesn't feel too heavy or greasy. It also smells like hydrocortisone; not that it stopped me from slathering it all over my face. As far as the claims go, it did hydrate my skin and made it feel supple. . Recently got @intermission.global Rest Up Aqua Cream in the mail and I've been testing it out the past few days. It retails for $35 on Amazon. 〰 It's another gel type moisturizer and actually does really well on its own as evidenced by me slathering my face with it after a late morning shower. No dry patches and my skin felt plump until I actually did my skincare routine later in the day. Stays slightly tacky after application which I don't really enjoy. 〰 The first ingredient on the list is centella asiatica and it also contains niacinamide, Himanthalia elongata (brown alga) and sea daffodil. It also has lavender oil if you're sensitive to that. 〰 I feel like this is a decent gel cream though this may be a tad too heavy for me during the summer days even though this is supposed to work for oily skin. It's a bit too heavy for AM use but may work for PM routines.
