The oil itself is a very liquid oily oil, or at least in my opinion it feels quite oily. It also seems so runny and thin at first, but once you apply it to your face it feels quite heavy and moisturizing. Not heavy in an uncomfortable way, but you can feel there is something there soothing your skin. After using it for couple nights, my skin felt soothed and well protected, and I didn’t feel the oiliness at all. It does work for reducing redness and healing skin irritation. Amalie Calm Organic Soothing Oil Review . . . I purchased this sort of thinking this was some kind of anti-acne/anti-inflammation facial oil however after sort of looking over the instructions & directions on the website it seemed to be more geared toward the face & body where there may be areas of irritated skin & so that's how I've been using it thus for for the last 2 weeks. . . . Claims: CALM is a homegrown handcrafted oil & a natural remedy for reducing redness & irritation associated with eczema, dermatitis & other inflammation or redness. Cruelty free, vegan, & 100% organic. . . . Ingredients: organic jojoba oil, organic squalane from olives, organic yarrow flower extract, organic lavender extract, organic sage leaf extract, organic spearmint leaf extract, organic honeysuckle extract . . . Impression: So...I'm honestly not sure what to think of this oil. I tend to get horrible irritations along skin on my body easily. Its weird & I don't have an explanation for it but for instance if I have a switch of my detergents this will absolutely trigger a rash or irruption of irritations. I'm horribly allergic to latex & peanuts to the degree an epi-pen is required. What's weird is how these sensitivities have never translated to the skin of my face - thank god! So its rare for me to get rashes or irritations on my face. I've only used this oil a few times in that vein. Once when I got a nasty eruption of erythema all along the tops of my feet after shopping last week. I have no idea where it came from but my feet kept itching & burning. Normally I'd just apply hydrocortisone cream or Benadryl topically - yes that's how frequently I get these random skin irritations. I literally keep treatments constantly on hand because it happens so frequently. I applied this oil instead & while it did appear to calm the redness the itching was only mildly alleviated until I relented & applied hydrocortisone cream. The same thing happened again for some random splotch that cropped up on my left arm over the weekend. So all I can say is this oil does calm redness, itchiness etc but not to the degree of a targeted treatment like an anti-histamine or hydrocortisone. Regarding the oil itself its very lightweight, absorbs beautifully, & smells lightly of lavender. It's a lovely oil its just the efficacy for me is sort of so-so . . . Cost: $45 / 30 mL . . . Repurchase: Probably not. Honestly this oil is very expensive at $45 for a single ounce compared to $2-3 for a tube of hydrocortisone that knocks my little eruptions on its butt pretty quickly. Maybe this is more for those who want to go the natural route only with limited benefit. . . . My Review....I used this product for about 2 weeks after cleansing my face with my daily facial cleansers, than followed the directions per the packaging, drop 1-2 drops on the fingertips and lightly massages into the skin, this product works on skin that suffers from redness, eczema, inflammation or just irritation. My skin gets redness whenever the season changes so I was definitely excited to try this product...I saw results within the first few days, the redness has diminished drastically and my skin actually looked nourished and my pores were smaller than before...I was pleasantly pleased with Calm Organic Soothing Oil...Plus it’s Organic so that was a huge bonus...2 Thumbs Up 👍🏽!!!!

I received this CALM Organic Soothing Oil from .08liter and Amelie for testing purposes. These opinions and results are honest and my own. This oil is meant to reduce irritation and control redness. With rosacea from Lupus, I’m always on the lookout for products that help control redness and irritation. This product has Jojoba oil, yarrow extract, squalane- from olives, lavender and sage. The texture is thick so I only put one drop into my palm and then used my finger to dip and apply onto my red spots. At first there didn’t seem to be much difference in appearance, although it certainly felt soothing and smelled nice. After waiting a bit, I could see a subtle difference. Not being super big on makeup, I applied a mineral veil just to take down some of the shine and found that while it wasn’t a huge difference, there was certainly a reduction in my rosacea. Hoping continued use will make a more drastic impact. Nice product, a little goes a long way, and will continue to use. Thumbs up!

Calm is an all natural ingredient oil that is used to reduce any redness or irritation along with a variety of other things that may be located anywhere on your skin. It helps reduce the appearance and/or inflammatory areas on your skin. My daughter experiences a lot of redness around her cheek area and this oil has helped calm it down. I’ve noticed that it has smoothed out the area and cleared the redness leaving her skin popping out naturally. This product has hand made ingredients that show improvement with any skin issues. It even helps with the redness and inflammation of acne. Overall I am happy with the results of this product.

This oil is fantastic! My skin loves Jojoba so I'm always happy to try products made with it. In the bottle this oil is very fragrant from all of the essential oils, but once it's absorbed the scent is very faint which is nice. I used this on a patchy breakout I had on my forehead. The spots were itchy & irritated so I used this oil on that area before bed & I was pleasantly surprised to see it was greatly improved in the morning. This oil definitely will be a part of my routine for breakouts or bouts of rosacea, I might try it for heat rash as well. I would recommend this soothing oil for any skin type in need of calming.

Here is another fantastic oil from Amalie. It is their soothing calm oil and it is made with yarrow, lavender and sage. This is designed to help with redness, eczema, and rosacea. It is vegan and organic. I have really like this oil for the last 2 weeks or so and although I don't have rosacea or eczema I do like that it is a very calming, and I use it nightly to ensure that any acids that I have been using do not irritate my skin too much and I am able to ensure that my skin is calm, smooth, and ready to go. It also absorbs so well, and feels dry after about a minute This company is also very good with their packaging and their instructions that they include with the box. Also, they give you a free sample of another one of their oils to try out, I got the shine one. I will say however it is quite a shame that this product is so small because it is also extremely expensive normally. I got this for a trial fee from 0.8 in exchange for my honest review however the full price is $48 which I think is extremely steep for the amount of oil that you get in this (10 ml!!). I do not think that this oil will last me more than 3 months of continual use and so that's quite an investment if you do plan on repurchasing it.

In just those minutes I noticed his skin to appear less irritated and flakey, he also didn't scratch as much at it. . •Overall Thoughts: This is a great product! It absorbs quickly into the skin without too much of a greasy feeling. This is good to have on hand if you have skin irritations or dry cracked skin this winter season. I received CALM an Organic Soothing Oil by Amalie from 08liter.com at a special discounted price in return for my honest review. When I received this product, I was happily surprised that I received a sample of SHINE Brightening Face Oil too! When I started using CALM, I also included SHINE into my skincare regimen. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION - CALM is a homegrown, handcrafted oil with the following main ingredients: Yarrow, Lavender, and Sage. This oil is a natural remedy for reducing redness, inflammation, and irritation from eczema, dermatitis, and other related problem areas of the skin. I used this oil on a recent breakout related to Shingles between my shoulder blades. I expected to experience some type of discomfort such as a sharp burning pain like one has when applying an antiseptic. To my surprise I did not have any type of discomfort or further irritation! This is truly a wonderful product! I then started using this oil to other problem areas with good results, no further irritation, or any type of side effects. Please refer to the picture I included of the directions of use and proper storage instructions. On the bottom of the box has the lot number GS-4 and expiration date 9-19. This is wonderful information Amalie provides to their customers especially if one has a reaction or problems using this product. It also is a great way for the company to recall or worn others if a problem is identified for a certain lot of production related to this oil. SHINE - a brightening face oil. I used on my face which has some uneven skin tone. My face is somewhat brighter and I have noticed a some of my darkened areas lighter. I believe with further use, both problems would have better results. I would highly recommend this product to others. I rate this a 5/5 and give a 👍👍. I hope that SHINE will become available on 08L.
