💙 Product Review: Real Barrier Cicarelief Gel Balm . 💙 You’ve probably noticed that I have reviewed some Real Barrier / Atopalm items before. Here’s why (taken from their website): . 💙 “Real Barrier is specifically formulated for dry and sensitive skin types, but with a twist: it features hyaluronic acid and patented dual ceramides in addition to MLE. I haven’t experienced any pilling. This cream has a very light fragrance that did not bother me at all. It dries down quickly and doesn’t leave any drag. It feels very soothing, making it perfect for days my skin needs some TLC. I don’t think it provides enough moisture on its own for my dry skin, so I use it with other products. . 💙 Final Verdict: Anything that works to protect my skin barrier has a permanent place in my collection. I apply it overnight after serum or moisturizer, targeting irritated, inflamed, post-breakout areas. With consistent use I’m left with no traces of inflammation or scarring. My current HG is @bywishtrend Teca 1% Barrier Cream, but this may finally be unseated by Atopalm’s Cicarelief Gel Balm. This product is silicone free (unlike the TECA cream) and the first ingredient is centella asiatica extract (TECA contains 1%). The balm has a slight pink tinge due to the calamine. I love the convenient tube packaging. The texture is more like a gel cream that spreads easily instead of a thick balm. It leaves a light tackiness as a layer of protection which I don’t mind as the last step in my routine. The next day my skin feels smooth and calmed, I’ve used this for ~2 weeks so I haven’t seen other results yet. I haven’t tried Atopalm’s Cicarelief Cream but the cream contains silicone and I assume is heavier. My only critique is this product is a misnomer and not a true balm or gel, it’s a light gel cream with minimal tackiness. So if you’re looking for a silicone-y texture with no residue I’d recommend the ByWishtrend product. 0.8L review of the Real Barrier Cica Relief Balm. - I was really excited when I got the opportunity to try this because everybody loves Cica products. I put it on one night and it felt ammaaaazzzinnnggg. It does have a scent but its pretty light and it didnt bother me. This totally sinked in and hydrated my skin which is great. The only thing is that this broke me out IMMEDIATELY. I'm talking like, I put it on and then an hour later looked in the mirror and had breakouts popping up. It was really disappointing to me, and unfortunately I had to stop using it.

I was sent a full size Real Barrier Cicarelief Gel Balm for a small fee in exchange for an honest review. I used this product after cleansing, toning, and using a serum nightly for 10 days. I also used this balm on my hands at night. This gel balm’s claim is to reduce redness and irritation. In all honesty, I don’t use products that cause irritation, but this winter has been harsh on my skin and this gel balm has been key in reducing dryness, retaining moisture, and keeping friction induced redness at bay (particularly on my hands from washing often... eww, germs). A little goes a long way. I don’t have to use anything else on my face at night. For my hands, sometimes I put a heavier lotion/cream on top. I would definitely repurchase this particularly for winter skin care. It’s light enough if you need to layer, and works so well you can use it alone.

This gentle gel-cream has a low pH similar to that of healthy skin to help skin stay balanced. I can’t say in the very brief time I’ve used this product that it has substantially improved my skin barrier, but it certainly calms my skin during a rosacea flareup. I’d like to see what this does long term, but for those with stressed, irritated skin like mine it would definitely soothe and moisturize skin. Real Barrier Cicarelief Gel Balm . I have tried quite a few products from Real Barrier and I can say that when it comes to giving the skin moisture, they really do their magic. I decided to give this one a try as well since I have become slightly obsessed with products with Cica (this has 66%!) because of the calming benefits it gives to the skin. . I was expecting the product to be gel-like in color and consistency but to my surprise, it actually looks and feels more like a heavy cream. It has a very light tinge of pink to it, which is due to the natural color of Calamine, an ingredient of this product that also calms irritation. I have been using this product as my night time moisturizer, since it has that heavy, occlusive feel and it does take a while for my skin to completely absorb it. I especially love using this product on nights when I do exfoliation because it gives a really soothing sensation on the skin the moment you apply it. However, I noticed that it didn’t do much when it comes to calming redness and inflammation. I sometimes reach for this during the day when I feel like my skin really needs extra moisture. It doesn’t pill under make-up, which is great (of course, as long as you let it sink in completely before putting on make-up). . I haven’t notice any results when it comes to wrinkle improvement and brightening, as I feel that these benefits are reaped with prolonged use. . The Gel cream is really 🌸healthy for your face and any other skin that needs treating. When I applied this gel balm to the dry and irritated skin around my nose I could literally almost hear my skin say “aaaaahhhhhhh!” The product doesn’t appear overly thick when you dispense it, but when you start to apply it to the skin it feels thick, like a protective barrier is being applied to the skin. I didn’t notice any cooling effect, but it almost instantly eliminated the pain around the corners of my nose. The inflamed areas developed as a result of my out of control sinuses and having to blow my nose so much. It also doesn’t help that the lack of humidity has caused my nose to start bleeding pretty frequently, meaning that I have to wipe the area to clean it up. However, I noticed that when I blew my nose after using this product the tissues didn’t irritate the area any more. It also didn’t feel like the tissues removed the product either. The skin that was inflamed looked less red and irritated the following morning and no longer felt dry, tight, and rough. This product deeply moisturized and repaired the skin. I am very impressed with how well this gel balm worked and would recommend it to anyone. Although I received this product for free my opinion was not influenced by this fact.

The chance to try this Real Barrier Cicarelief Gel Balm came at the perfect time, I’ve been using a lot of exfoliating acids and my skin was getting dry and a little angry. So I added this to my routine as the last step before my moisturizer, as a treatment step pretty much, and I’ve been very pleased! I love the texture, it is soft and absorbs well into the skin. It’s very soothing and after almost a week of continuous use it’s completely healed the dryness and brought my moisture barrier back to where I want it to be. I’m really glad I have it! I was provided this at a lower cost by .08L.com for review purposes but I’m happy to say I’m able to give an honest and positive review.

So far I have been using this for a few days and I have to say it does moisturize your face, but I can still see redness in my face! I like the fact that it doesn't have a strong scent. It soaks into your skin so quick tho! It supposed to help a dull complexion it says, but I don't really think it does! For me It's a great moisturizer, but for the other claims,I'm not so sure with. As you can see in my pictures, my face looks pretty red and splotchy!! So, if you have super dry skin, this is for you! It wasnt bad, but I wasnt super impressed either!!
