This is delicious! I am a big fan of the tart, sweet and sour taste. I enjoyed it mixed with water over ice, or even mixed with orange juice. It would be good hot as well. Not only is it tasty, it has a ton of good for you stuff in it.

Cheong' would refer to 'honey' at Court. Various candied ingredients prepared are carefully managed. ⁣⁣ 🍹[𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰]- 𝐌𝐮𝐧𝐆𝐲𝐞𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐈𝐒𝐎 𝐎𝐦𝐢𝐣𝐚 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐄𝐱𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐬⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 🍹𝗪𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐎𝐦𝐢𝐣𝐚? Sourced from Mungyung, Korea, Omija is schizandra berries. In Chinese, schizandra means "seeds with 5 tastes" as they encompass sweet, sour, bitter, spicy & salty, however the sour taste is dominant. Omija tea is a traditional Korean drink & omija is full of vitamins and minerals. This drink contains 0.7 mg of iron & .04 mg of riboflavin, making it more potent than pomegranates. ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ 🍹𝗪𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐨𝐧𝐠? Cheong means honey & specifically honey at the Korean Court. Omija berries were fermented with sugar & reduced to a thick sour-astringent liquid. It would then be candied or sweetened with honey. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 🍹𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 ℹ️ - This product contains many minerals & vitamins. It contains Vitamin B1, phosphorus , calcium, Schizandrin, iron ,beta-carotene, protein, riboflavin,  potassium, & lignan. It contains a considerable amount of iron, 0.7 mg, which is 304% (0.23mg) more than blueberry & 269% (0.36mg) more than pomegranate. This product is also riboflavin rich, containing 0.04 mg, which is 200% (0.02mg) more than pomegranate & 133% (0.03mg) more than chinese yam 🍠. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 🍹𝐌𝐲 𝐓𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 💭- This traditional Korean beverage is reminds me of a tea of sorts. The liquid comes pre-packaged in a small envelope ✉️. I like big mugs, so I used about 12 ounces of hot water & 2 of these packets which ended up being a good dilution. This beverage is a refreshing mix of bitter, sour, sweet, spicy, & salty. To me I taste sweet & sour. The flavor reminds me a little of unsweetened cranberry pomegranate juice. I am excited to try this over ice 🧊. I love that the concentrate comes pre-packaged into individual servings, perfect for tossing in your purse 👛 & for on the go. They are also easy to use; simply tear open the package, pour into a mug or glass & add water to taste.⁣ ⁣I also love that this beverage is jam packed with vitamins & minerals including vitamin B1, phosphorous, calcium, iron, beta carotene, protein, riboflavin, potassium, & lignin. You can find this on Amazon for $8.99 for 12 packets. This is definitely a wonderful cold 🥶 weather treat that I plan to repurchase. ⁣ ⁣ 🍹Thank you to #MungyeongMiso & to #08liter for giving me the opportunity to experience this product at a nominal fee in exchange for my honest review.🍹 ⁣ ⁣ ⁣⁣ #MungyeongMISO #Omija #Juice #sweetness #sourness #bitterness #spiciness #saltiness #08liter #08L

A bit of a different review today! It’s #ThirstyThursday, & I’m bringing you a review on a popular traditional Korean drink. So keep on reading to learn more! This is the Omija Cheong Extract 30ml x 12 packs (retail $8.99). The Chinese word ‘Omija’ (Schizandra Berry) means seeds with 5 tastes (sweetness, sourness, bitterness, spiciness, and saltiness). Omija tea is widely known as a traditional Korean beverage. The berry contains a host of minerals and vitamins, vitamin b1, phosphorus, calcium, schizandrin, iron, betta-carotene, protein and potassium. These packets are easy to use. Just open, & pour the mix into a glass with cold or hot water. The taste is sweet in the beginning, but then it also has a tanginess to it too. I’m not the biggest fan of it mixed into straight water. So I have been blending a packet into my smoothies in the mornings, & I enjoy it better that way. The flavor blends in well with the other fruits & veggies I add into my morning smoothies. So, have you ever tried a traditional Korean drink before? What was it & how did you like it? Leave a reply in the comments below! *I was provided this product by @08l_usa for a small fee. I was not paid for this review. #omijacheong #prsample #MungyeongMISO #Omija #Juice #sweetness #sourness #bitterness #spiciness #saltiness #08liter #08L #koreanfood #kfood #koreantea #koreandrink #review #foodreview #MungyeongMISO #Omija #Juice #sweetness #sourness #bitterness #spiciness #saltiness #08liter #08L

🍵 Omija Cheong Extracts 🍵 . 📜 Info: "The Chinese word of Omija(Schizandra berry ) literally means seeds with 5 tastes- sweetness, sourness, bitterness, spiciness, saltiness. The sour taste is the strongest of all. There is astringency as well, but the name omija prevents you from paying much attention to the taste. You can say the seeds have all kinds of tastes. Omija tea, made from omija, is widely known as a Korean traditional beverage. Contains a lot of Mineral & Vitamin -Vitamin B1, phos- phorus , calcium, Schizandrin, iron beta-carotene, protein, riboflavin, potassium..." - @0.8l_USA app info . 📦 Packaging: A box of 12 with 30g in each packet. . Claims: 🌿 Sweet 🌿 Sour 🌿 Bitter 🌿 Salty 🌿 Spicy . 📝 Review: I like it best luke warm. I love that there's no need to add anything other than water. The more water you add the more the sour and bitter flavors pop. With less water the sweeter it is. I've previously tried the citron flavor and there isn't a huge difference in take so I don't prefer one over the other. But just like the citron flavor this regular one doesn't give me any spicy or salty tastes. . I bought this 12 packet box of Mungyeong Miso Omija Cheong Extracts from @0.8l_USA for a trial fee in exchange for my review. BEAUTY FROM THE INSIDE OUT . . Have you ever heard of Schisandra berries? Me neither until I came across them on @0.8l_usa & paid a fee to try them out. The one I have is made with 50% Schisandra extract & 50% pure sugarcane. . . From my readings, Schisandra berries provide powerful antioxidant protection from free radicals & other toxins that may cause cellular damage. Regarded as an adaptogenic herb, they’re unique in that they hold a remarkable blend of five distinct flavors - bitter, sweet, sour, salty & spicy; collectively serving to promote overall health & vitality & enhance the body's natural resistance & adaptation to stressful influences, support mental endurance & promote overall metabolic efficiency. I won’t discuss the health claims as I’m not a doctor & it’d be wrong to make any claim that I didn’t experience. . . 🧡🧡🧡MY THOUGHTS?🧡🧡🧡 . . The tastes remind me of eating sour patch kids - sour, sweet, salty, bitter. I didn’t taste any spiciness. Maybe bc I eat a lot of spicy foods & it’d take pretty darn spiciness in order for me to really notice. Overall, it tastes pretty good. . . I prepared it with hot water on the 1st day & found that hot water made the sourness & bitterness very pronounced. . . I prepared it the same way on the 2nd day. When I got a chance to drink it, it was already cool down to room temperature. I liked it a lot more than the 1st day.

I received Omija Cheong Extracts at a discount $3.99 price to try and give my honest opinion about the product. There were 12 packages of mix in the box. To make the drink you mix it with water or sparkling water. You can mix it with hot or cold water. It has an interesting sweet and sour taste. I read that Omija means 5 flavors: salty, sweet, sour, bitter and spicy. It has vitamins and minerals. I like the taste of this drink even though I was not sure that I would. It is sweeter that I thought it would be and you can really control how much flavor there is by the amount of water that is added.

One of my favorite drinks besides coffee and wine is tea, especially if it is a traditional drink. This time I had the opportunity to try a traditional Korean drink, the "Omija Cheong Extract", a beverage made of Schizandra Berry, the seed of the 5 tastes: sweetness, sourness, bitterness, spiciness, and saltiness. This extract is made of 50% Omija juice and 50% unrefined sugar cane extract. What I love the most about Korean drinks is that they are functional supplements. Omija tea is not only a deliciously unique beverage, but it is also good for your health, containing several vitamins and minerals like vitamin b1, phosphorus, calcium, schizandra, iron, beta-carotene, protein, and potassium, riboflavin, and lignan, even in a higher percentage than some fruits. The flavor is bitter and sweet at the same time and has some astringent note due to fermentation that reminds me of wine without the strong alcohol aftertaste. A sip of this tea is a surprisingly unique and tasty, experience, in which you can taste the five different flavors at once, all in perfect equilibrium. The tea comes in a box of 12 individual packages. You can pour one package in a cup of hot or cold water for a stronger flavor or divide it into two cups if you prefer delicate flavors. I received this product from @08l_usa

Hello everyone 👋 🌺Today I’m reviewing the OMIJA CHEONG EXTRACTS. This is a #kfood product from #MunGyeongMISO. I received this product for a trial fee in exchange for my honest review. I love trying the #kfoods offered on @08liter so thank you 🙏 to #08L for this opportunity!🌺 🌺This is a beverage that is made using the Omija berry (Schizandra berry). Omija means in Chinese seeds with 5 tastes - #sweetness #sourness #bitterness #spiciness and #saltiness. Omija tea is a Korean beverage that is enjoyed both hot and cold. I tried this product cold with ice water but as the days are getting cooler I will be trying this as a tea too.🌺 🌺The #Omija berry has more iron than blueberries or pomegranate. It also has high levels of Vitamin B,calcium, potassium, riboflavin and other vital minerals so it’s good for your health. This beverage has a nice light pleasant flavor with the most noticeable taste being sour. It’s a great way to flavor your water so you drink more💧water . That’s the reason I decided to try this product. The taste is mild and I would think this would be a good beverage for anyone to try.🌺 🌺This products retail price is $20.99 for a 12 packet box. Each packet makes 1-2 beverages depending on how strong you make it. I used a pack per glass. That’s a bit pricey for just a beverage but when you add in the additional health benefits from the vitamins and minerals in this I think it’s a pretty fair price. I probably would purchase this product again. I wish there had been instructions on the label in English but it did have a diagram/drawing on the instructions which helped a bit. 🌺I’m posting this review to my social pages under Deb Knott @notadeb and giving this product a solid 4 star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ rating. This was the first product I’ve tried from #MunGyeongMISO and I definitely hope to try more products from this brand in the future!🌺

Happy Tuesday! . . Aside juicing and teas, another healthy drink I like to have are any traditional drinks. Especially Korean drinks where some are supplements or contain vitamins for everyday consuming. . . Omija Cheong Extract 30ml x 12 packs ($8.99) – The Chinese word of Omija (Schizandra Berry) litteraly means seeds with 5 tastes – sweetness, sourness, bitterness, spiciness, and saltiness. Omija tea, made from omija, is widely known as a Korean traditional veverage. It contains mineral and vitamins, vitamin b1, phosphorus, calcium, schizandrin, iron, betta-carotene, protein and potassium. . . These packets make them easy to travel with and easy to use. Just open, pour out the contents inside the packet and mix with water/hot water. This taste very sweet and berriful, almost like a candied sweet drink but not overly sweet. Definitely gives me a bit of energy to start the day and I really enjoyed having a cup every morning. . . Have you tried omija before? This is my first time trying anything that contains omija and honestly, I love it! . . I received this at a trial price @08l_usa. UPDATED 🎈The first time I tried this, I tried it hot. I didn't love it probably because here in Phoenix we still have 90 degree days. So I decided to try it cold. The next day I poured half the liquid packet in my water bottle tasted it and then poured the other half. It is so refreshing. I absolutely love this  It's sweet enough so I do not need to add anything to it yet not to sweet.🎈 🖍Parents i really think kids would love this as a healthy alternative to sugary juice drinks you may make at home. It reminds me of a juice drink my mom used to make us in the summmer. Oh make sure you cut open a corner in the packet and insert that corner in your water bottle until all the liquid is gone. It does come with a slit to easily tear open but it may get messy when putting it a water bottle like mine did. Remember these packets have liquid in them not powder. Some people make a big batch of this in a pitcher and I might just do this to save some time. I highly recommend this product and will repurchase it.🖍 ❤It retails for $8.99 and you recieve 12 packets. I expected it to cost a lot more still it is a little high for majority of people. If i find out that it is on sale or if I am notified about a promo code I definitely let you know.❤ 👍Thanks #08liter and #MungyeungMiso for the opportunity to purchase this at a reduced price in exchange for my honest review.👍

MunGyeong MISO Omija Cheong Extracts (courtesy of @0.8L_USA) Some of you might already know this, but for those who do not ~ what is omija? Sourced from Mungyung, Korea, Omija is schizandra berries ~ In Chinese, Schizandra means "seeds with 5 tastes" as they encompass sweet, sour, bitter, spicy and salty, where the sour taste is dominant. Omija tea is a traditional Korean drink and omija is full of vitamins and minerals, with a focus on .7mg of iron & .04 mg of riboflavin, making it more potent than pomegranates. ⁣ ⁣ Now the name of this product is Omija Cheong, and "cheong" would mean "honey" at the Korean Court ~ omija berries would be fermented with sugar and reduced to a nice thick sour-astringent liquid. This product comes in 30mL packets and you add either hot or cold water to make your drink. You can dilute it as much as you want or not ~ the taste reminds me of unsweetened cranberries married with hibiscus. It does have a nice tart sour taste to it, despite the sugar content ~ I wonder how pure omija tastes like if this one is so tart!! I really like it a lot and it is quite refreshing and thirst quenching. Mungyeong Miso Premium Omija has all five flavors: sweet, sour, bitter, salty, and spicy. The drink is for helping energy to recover, poor bronchial pain such as coughing, sputum and asthma, children with weakened immunity and parents who think about their health. There are so many health benefits for drinking this tea. It helps keep a radiant, glowing youthful appearance, helps improve night vision, cleanses the liver and more. The tea comes in packet as a liquid. You can drink this either with cold water or hot. The hot tea will make a more savory and bitter taste while the cold tea will make is more sweet, sour and a little bit salty. I prefer to drink this cold and has a delicious taste to it. The drink goes will with food and benefits are really good. I give this a 10/10. I recommend this to anyone who wants a better and healthy drink.

I don't know if it's because of Korean dramas and variety shows but I've always wanted to try these types of drinks. You always seen them being given to in-laws and older people because it's supposed to increase energy and give strength. I was not expecting it to taste so sweet and yummy. I couldn't read the instructions, because of course they are in hangul. So I tried them 2 ways, right out of the pack and with water. Both options were delicious. I see myself making it a habit to include this herbal supplement in my diet if it does what I think it's supposed to do, which is give me energy. I've ordered a second flavor and can't wait to try that one as well.

Today I’m going to be reviewing Omija Cheong extracts that I received from @08liter for the trial price of 3.99 in exchange for my honest opinions. I am a big fan of fruit juices since I don’t often eat fruit so I was excited to see this was available to try. Cheong refers to “honey” at court and that a variety of candied ingredients are carefully prepared for the fermentation process which helps it become a good polysaccharide. Omija is a Chinese word that means “seeds with five tastes” (bitter, sour, sweet, spicy, and saltiness). This traditional Korean beverage is a very refreshing mix of the five flavors (bitter, sour, sweet, spicy, and salty) but the two most prominent I detect is sweet and sour. The flavor of this drink reminds me of a cranberry juice mixed with other complimentary fruit flavors. What I love about this juice is that the juice extracts come individually packaged in small foil envelopes that can be easily carried in a purse or book bag. They are easy to use, just pour the contents of an envelope into cold or hot water depending on whether you want a cold or warm beverage. Did I mention that this juice has vitamins and minerals: vitamin B1, phosphorous, calcium, iron, beta carotene, protein, riboflavin, potassium, and lignin. I am definitely going to be repurchasing this and I recommend this for anyone who likes to try new things like this refreshing, delicious juice. #mungyeongMISO #Omija #Juice #sweetness #sourness #bitterness #spiciness #saltiness #08liter #08L
