I was super excited to try this skin setting base set! They are so unique and different which I really like. They have a light consistency, similar to a serum foundation. They also have zero fragrance, so these should be great for sensitive skin-types. The tone balancing is my favorite out of the 3 because it really did make my face even! I could wear this alone even, like without anything on top. I liked the tone correcting one, which is green, but when I applied it, the consistency was too thin so it didn’t really cover my redness much. I had to apply a lot in order to do that. The tone up sun one has me scratching my head a bit because I still don’t know what it does. When I apply it to my face nothing really happens. The color of my skin doesn’t change, it doesn’t brighten it, I don’t know what it does. All in all, I enjoyed the set.

I absolutely LOVED the packaging of these products. it's very clean, classy, pretty and very good quality feel to it. It's also very nice to carry it in my small bag to reapply. however I only like the Tone Balancing Base. other 2 were little too pigmented almost too light for my skin type. Tone balancing base had better tone to it. it also blends in very nicely with a almost feels like tinted moisturizer. I used it with or without make-up and both worked really well for me. I wish they would make a bit darker shades in the future tho

My latest K-beauty finds - JUNGSAEMMOOL Skin Setting Base Set. Really love products that combines with SPF, especially SPF 50👌🏻🌞Blends good and feels nice on the skin but I feel that it’s more suitable for lighter skin tones.

JUNGSAEMMOOL Skin Setting Base Set Tone-up Sun Base Correcting Base Tone Balancing Base I received this generous set from 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗮𝗲𝗺 𝗠𝗼𝗼𝗹 and 0.8l. They are all SPF50 /A+++ and function as 3 in 1, sunscreen, primer and makeup base. Tone-up Sun Base - Pink base tone-up sunscreen/primer to brighten a skin tone. This is the lightest in terms of texture and scent among the trio. This is very much like a tone-up sunscreen. Tone Correcting Base - Green shade primer that is designed to neutralize redness and evens out skin tone. It subdues the redness of my face slightly however . Tone Balancing Base- Light beige tinted primer/moisturizer. This is comparable to BB cream. The shade is suitable to my skin tone and it gives nice coverage. All products have a texture of mineral sunscreen, which are too heavy for my combination skin and they sink into my pores. My least favourite part is they are heavily scented. They are suitable for dry skin peeps. Among 3, I liked the Tone Correcting Base the most but I'd have to wear a primer underneath. . also like tone up sunscreen sink into my pore SPF50 PA+++

I included these 3 JUNGSAEMMOOL Skin Setting Base in my sunscreen count of "Sunscreen I Tested this Year", but they are quite versatile. You can use them as sunscreen, primer, or makeup, however you like really. As usual, I played around a bit, and my fav way to wear them is to layer all 3 products and wear them without added makeup. Let's dig into the details. 🟡Tone Balancing Base🟡 - What:  A second-skin finish that hardly feels like makeup - Ingredients:Silver Vine, Hyaluronic Filling Sphere - My Take: This is akin to your BB Cream but sadly my least fav of the 3. The color is just a little too peachy for my skin but def not too bad that I can't wear it. My main problem is with the texture. This has the thickest texture of the 3 and it really settles into and accentuates my fine lines. It also highlights my pores. Def NOT what I want for a base product. These days I'm spoiled by lightweight foundations that blend seamlessly into skin and feel like I'm wearing nothing. It'll be fine if you are young but if you have any sort of lines, I would stay away. - Score: 2/5 🟢Tone Correcting Base🟢 - What: A green-toned face primer that neutralizes redness and evens out skin tone - Ingredients: 3% Centella Asiatica Extract, Hyaluronic Filling Sphere - My Take: I have tried green correctors before so I know there are limits to their power of reducing redness. With that expectation in check, I like this one. The texture is nice, it's moisturizing, it does tone down redness a little, and it works great as a primer as this one you probably shouldn't wear on its own. - Score: 4/5 💞Tone Up Sun Base💞 - What: The pink color brightens dull skin, gives the effect of toning up, and strongly protects UV rays to protect skin - Ingredients: Camu Camu Fruit Extract, Hyaluronic Filling Sphere - My Take: Thankfully this one does not give the white ashy look I get with some tone up sunscreen. This has more of a sheen. I definitely find tone up products look nice in front of the camera but a bit "off" IRL. The texture is the thinness out of the three. I like to mix this with the Balancing Base so I get a better color match and a slight glow. - Score: 4/5

💗 Tone-up Sun Base is a great primer, I love that is has SPF50 PA+++. It has a pink tint to it, which helps brighten and even out the skintone. This has a nice watery consistency, that keeps skin moisturized.This contains Hyaluronic Filling Sphere which helps fill wrinkles and pores. This is probably my favorite, it just leaves my skin looking fresh and healthy. On no makeup days this is all I wear, no foundation at all. 💚Tone Correcting Base is a color Correcting primer. It has helped hide any redness I have and I also like to use this to spot treat any post acne spots I have. This has a mint color to it and has a thick texture. This also has SPF50 PA+++. 💛Tone Balancing Base has a beige tint to it, this is only suitable for light to medium-light skin tones, which is a bummer. Hopefully they come out with more shades. This has a nice lightweight formula with a silky finish.

I’ve never really tried color correcting products before but I’ve always been curious about redness reducers since I have a lot of natural redness on my nose and cheeks. Swipe for product textures and tints. 🧏🏻‍♀️ For all three, here are some similarities I see. All #unscented products, and all have a similar #lightweight , buildable #texture that blends easily. All are SPF 50+. The packaging is similar but gives color cues to show the difference between the products. You get 40mL of product for each, and the only thing I don’t love about the packaging is how hard I have to squeeze to get product out (thicker plastic tubes). Finally, all three promise longer lasting, better makeup applications on top. I prefer to wear these without makeup on top. 💚 Cica Care 💚 - Promises to cover #redness and uneven skin tone, suitable for sensitive skin (3% #Cica for soothing) - My favorite of the trio, really helps neutralize my redness - Blends out to a natural finish, a bit of a cast as expected since it’s green, but gets covered well 🧡 Tone Balancing Base 🧡 - Helps express barefaced skin by balancing tone and providing UV protection - I enjoy this being my only base color, it matches me surprisingly well, super comfy on the skin and gives a dewy natural finish - Definitely a my skin but better situation. Light coverage but somewhat buildable to a light-medium 💕 Tone-up Sun Base 💕 - Sun primer that brightens skin and provides UV protection - Not my favorite sadly. Too pale and chalky looking on me. So let's talk about each of the products: •Tone up Sun is a great sun primer with UV protection, with a light texture that gives enough hydration to the skin. •Tone correction helps to cover redness and smoother your skin. Great to put before setting powder. It does not give your skin dryness. •Tone Balancing gives foundation effect to your skin with UV protection. It makes your skin brighter and has a little BB effect. Give it a 5️⃣ 🌟 ❤️❤️❤️

If you didn't know, Jung Saem Mool is a top celebrity makeup artist in Korea. I first discovered her through YouTube videos, and was intrigued and curious when I learned about her line of products. I was super excited, then, when I was gifted these skin setting bases to try. (prayer) She has three different types of setting bases which include Tone Correcting, Tone Balancing, and Tone-up Sun. My honest review is that they feel a tad heavy on my oily skin (most Korean makeup do for me, personally). That is not to say they're not great products. They do exactly what they're meant to: reduce redness and color-correct, even and balance the skin tone, provide sun protection, and prime the skin. The skin feels moisturized and protected, and given a healthy glow.

This is a wonderful trio of products. I love that they are all SPF50+++. The scent is very light and pleasant. They each start of as a thick cream and then melt into the skin. I use the tone correcting one on my red spots. Then I add the tone balancing one on the rest of my face. I really enjoy these!

JUNGSAEMMOOL Skin Setting Base Set Tone up Sun Base: The pink color brightens dull skin, gives the effect of toning up, and strongly protects UV rays to protect skin. The hyaluronic filling sphere softness pores, fine wrinkles and curved part of skin. Containing mineral complexes that supply hydration and moisture to skin, it gives the effect of keeping skin hydrated. Tone Correcting Base: Calm green color that evens reddened skin and corrects the skin clearly. Makes moisturizing skin with smooth skin texture to increase adhesion of makeup. Tone Balancing Base: A tinted moisturizer that expresses 'bare face' makeup by completing brighter skin and blocking harmful UV rays. My experience: Concealers are creamy, not greasy. All shades are completely opaque. They give a good coverage, mask imperfections very well. They lay down on the skin very softly and are perfectly shaded, without being erased at the same time. I recommend using correctors on moist skin. They do not clog pores, do not dry the skin under the eyes, do not provoke allergies. When the skin needs camouflage, correctors help me a lot, I use it with pleasure.

The tone balancing base and tone up sun base are really nice. The balancing base is almost like a bb cream with decent coverage, whereas the tone up sun base looks like a sunscreen with whitecast. The tone correcting base was a bit disappointing. It did not glide as smoothly as the other two and clung to dry patches. A little too much and it starts pilling. Overall nice products, but quite pricey.

The silky green looking correcting base has a smooth texture and its color will eventually disappear right after blending. I like that this helps blur the imperfections as well as redness. It’s a nice product to prep the skin with a soft and smooth texture for the next step in any makeup routine. The balancing base has a beautiful neutral beige tone that blends nicely with my skin tone. I’m already a big fan of Jungsaemmool, so I'm excited to try these products. For this campaign, I’m given 3 different types of color correcting base to try. Each of them supposes to help brighten and correct different problems of your natural skin. Overall, I found the products to be quite difficult to blend, but it's somewhat expected when it comes to color correcting products. I found mixing them with foundation or concealer from the beginning helps a lot. The products functions as claimed and works very well as a makeup base. Like many other JSM products, I'm not a fan of strong fragrance in these products. 💚 Tone correcting base (green) — the green pigment in this product helps balance redness on my face. The pigment is very obvious, so you’ll definitely need to blend it well and apply foundation or concealer on top. I usually apply it around my cheek and under my nose. 💖 Tone-up sun base (pink) — this product has pastel pink color pigment and it helps brighten the overall skin tone, and it’s little easier to blend compare to green one. I often apply this type to reduce the appearance of dark circle under my eyes and tone up areas around my forehead. 💛 Tone balancing base (beige) — this item is probably the easiest one to blend. The color is quite neutral, so it can be used as a tinted moisturizer, followed by powder. It provides light coverage and delivers the no-makeup makeup look. I use this type all over my face.

I am so excited about this trio of Skin Setting Bases from powerhouse brand Jung Saem Mool (courtesy of @0.8L_USA). I am a HUGE fan of this brand & have purchased so many items over the years from their international shop, but now they have a presence at Amazon USA! I will be having a blog review with more photos of this applied on my face, plus using some of the tips they give in making this more than just a “base” product. All of these are SPF 50+ PA +++ rated with hybrid UV filters, but I still recommend using a sunscreen first before applying these bases. You can use all 3 together, separately or mix-n-match. It’s totally up to you! I will go in the order of application on the face. Skin Setting Tone Correcting Base is a color correcting primer in a mint green shade ~ this will help tone down redness in your skin, whether it be from blemishes, sunburn, rosacea or other red skin pigmentation as well as evening out the skin tone. You can spot treat this in areas where you need it. This mild formula contains 3% soothing & healing CICA-care centella, hydrating hyaluronic filling spheres that will adhere to the skin, making skin moist & smooth and there is also a hydrating mineral complex of sodium PCA & anti-aging copper peptides. This is the thickest formula of the 3.
 Skin Setting Tone Up Sun Base is a weightless CC cream & brightening primer. It is pale pink, very watery product ~ I am presently surprised at this one, as it brightens without looking fake & leaves a very hydrated base behind. This also has sodium PCA, copper peptides & sodium hyaluronate along with antioxidant, vitamin C rich sea buckthorn & camu camu extracts. This really does brighten up the skin with its watery formula & leaves my skin looking fresh. I even stopped here without applying a foundation, and I felt comfortable with just the Tone Correcting & Tone Up Sun Bases on. This is the lightest formula of the 3. Tips that I will try for my blog review: Under Eye Brightener: in a 1:2 ration, mix sun base & concealer together, to create a peach-beige shade which will help cover dark circles. Cheek Blusher: in a 1:2 ratio, mix sun base with powder blusher, turning into a cream blush. Skin Setting Tone Balancing Base is the only product that is not a universal one, as I do think that if you already use green & pink color correctors, you can use the 1st two products. This one is only for light to medium-light skin tones as the hue is a light beige. I am grateful that it works for my skin tone, as this formula is amazing. It has a 2nd skin finish & I hardly feel like I am wearing any foundation. It is smooth & whereas it isn’t as weightless as the Tone Up Sun Base, it is still a silky lightweight formula that applies evenly for a natural finish It is neither dewy or matte, just a natural looking formula on my skin. This is made with silver vine, which has had clinical studies that shows that it helps with improved skin translucency, with brighter & more smoother skin. Along with hydrating minerals of sodium, magnesium, since & manganese PCA, this also has skin brightening & pore care niacinamide Look for my blog review this weekend!
