The ginseng in the cream gives it a subtle, pleasant scent, which I find refreshing. As for the collagen, I can't speak to its long-term effects just yet, but my skin does appear more supple and radiant since I started using the cream.Overall, I would highly recommend the Ginseng Collagen Cream to anyone looking to hydrate and rejuvenate their skin.

To start off, I like how this is vegan and does no animal testing. It’s unique because it uses red ginseng as vegan collagen. It hydrated well and gave me firmer skin. It was a soft cream! Easily spreadable with the applicator. There was an added green herbal fragrance to the cream which I did not like. I prefer my skincare products not to have fragrance. I also wish the packaging was a little different because it looks like a prototype. I think something more unique could be made for this cream. The packaging is a bit generic.

The Red Ginseng Collagen Cream, by Lab 1899, is a gorgeous cream. I thoroughly enjoyed how quickly the product absorbed into my skin. The fragrance is pleasant and light and my skin feels soothed and hydrated after application. There’s even a bit of a cooling sensation as it absorbs. Really enjoy the texture of this! Super thick and creamy but absorbed nicely. The fragrance is light and not too overwhelming. My skin feels super hydrated and moisturized after. Doesn’t leave a sticky feeling either. Ginseng is so good for the skin and it’s one of the main ingredients so I love it!

I was immediately intrigued when I saw that this company was created and founded by Korea’s top Ginseng company. The ingredient list is exactly what I like to have in my routine. The texture and consistency of this cream was beautiful. It wasn’t thick at all but was still hydrating. It made my skin look plump and glowy. It layered well with my other skincare. As I’m in my 40s, I like the added collagen. Packaging was simple and pretty.

Also, I have been drinking collagen powder and I have a Japanese collagen mist as well. The first time I tried this cream I had to use one layer and used two layers of my collagen mist. I was glad that this cream is light and is great for thin layers.  This product has a light fresh scent and one layer is enough to hydrate and layer with other products. During my skincare routine I use my rice toner,collagen mist, Ginseng serum and then the collagen cream to block all products.  The Red Ginseng Collagen Cream is vegan: containers mainly red Ginseng vegan collagen. So I would have to give this Lab1899 Red Ginseng Collagen Cream a 4 out of 5 stars. This cream retails for $25 but I only paid $3.99 thanks to 08liter. You get 1.69 fl oz or 50ml of product good until 2027. It's a decent price for the amount of product you get. I'm very frugal, so I would only buy this again at a discount since it has some flaws to it like the added fragrance. It smells lightly floral but not as offensive as the hyaluronic cream. This one smells lighter than the other cream, but I'm still not a fan of added fragrance in my skincare regardless of the scent. I've said it many times that there is no reason to have added fragrance in skincare, because it just leads to sensitivity and is unnecessary. The main reasons why I gave this collagen cream a 4 out of 5 stars is because of that added fragrance, and phenyl trimethicone is the 4th ingredient. Just like the other skincare from this brand I could have taken off another half star because there's no ingredients list in English. Thankfully for them, Google translate usually does a good job at translating Korean to English. As long as Google translate is correct, the ingredients list looks good for the most part, but I wish that wasn't necessary to do. I think moving forward they should add the English translation to their boxes, but nonetheless I know they are a new Korean brand so they might not do that. In the end I do prefer this collagen cream over their hyaluronic one. This one is more creamy and thick but not too thick, and more for dry skin instead of oily like the other one. That is why I use this collagen one at night and the hyaluronic one in the morning. I was just hoping for no added fragrance and no cones especially the 4th ingredient, but it's still a good cream. Using the Lab 1899 Red Ginseng Collagen Cream has been a game-changer for my skin, but it's not all sunshine and rainbows. The cream feels super rich, which is nice, but it might be a bit too heavy, especially if you're in a hot place or have oily skin like me. Plus, the subtle smell is nice, but it could bug folks with sensitive skin or allergies. Still, it's totally worth it for the hydration and firmness it gives my skin.
