This review for the @olivarrier Squalane Facial Oil (which I bought from the Try Now program on @0.8l_usa) is coming very late. 😖 But I've had a lot of time to use it so my thoughts on it are pretty solid. I purchased this item for about $4 and I can say that I would pay full price for this item. The oil is very lightweight and absorbs very quickly. It doesn't leave behind a greasy, heavy feeling and makes my face feel smoother and plumper (probably from the intense moisturization). It's a very versatile product. I use it on its own, mostly, but have also mixed it into my moisturizer. For a while, I was using it during my AM and PM routines but have since moved it just to my PM routine (due to the warmer more humid weather). I was seeing the brand all over IG and knew I had to get my hands on something when this opportunity popped up. I like how simple and pure this product is and it does an amazing job!

🌸 I'm usually hesitant to say I flat out love a product so soon but this shit is amazing! 🌸 I'm also not an oil person at all, and I've had especially bad luck with oils that are only one ingredient. 🌸 This layers so nicely & a little goes a long way! No pilling + no stickiness. 🌸 It doesn't smell like anything 👌🏼 🌸 I layer it after a hydrating serum & before moisturizer. If I'm feeling extra lazy I skip the moisturizer & instead go ham with this oil. 🌸 Another issue I have with oils is that they sit on my skin, making me feel greasy without actually moisturizing my skin. It's that weird feeling where my skin feels dry + greasy at the same time 🙅While this oil does leave me feeling a little greasy at first, it sinks in & actually properly moisturizes my skin! 🌸 Overall my first impressions are all positive 🙌🏽

They strive in providing their customers with high quality ingredients, one of which being the oils coming from olives, high grade olives that are sourced chemically free straight from the Mediterranean.The oil from these olives is also what makes up the Squalene Fluid Oil. What is squalene, you ask? It is a lipid naturally found in our skin that provides moisture and enhances its barrier. Having a strong barrier is necessary to protecting all the layers of the skin from environmental factors such as UV rays and pollution. As we age, our body stops producing as much of this and is important to replenish it to also avoid loss of moisture, which in turn ages us faster. This oil is preservative and fragrance free. "0 Chemical, 100 Squalene" Contains 30 ml. --------------------------- 🙊Impressions: I love this stuff! My skin drinks it up and other than using it on my face, I also use it on my nails and even the ends of my hair. This is one of the lightest oils I have ever used, and it's such a great multi-use product. I also love the dropper and bottle--it makes using the product feel somewhat luxurious. I typically use 2-3 drops right before moisturizing or even bare faced right after cleansing. I also mix this with other products for an added moisture boost or add a few drops on dry areas as needed throughout the day. 👌I fully recommend this for those delving into the world of pure oils as skincare and those that are needing something easy and light to moisturize their skin with. It's a great no fuss oil that will work great for all skin types. First impressions quick review: Olivarrier Squalene Oil 💦! I've seen olivarrier products all over Instagram and I had some major fomo. So when I saw this under 0.8l_usa's 'Try Now', I jumped on it and purchased it for $3.99 through their new 'Try now' program. I've only been using it for about a week and a half so this will be my brief first impressions. The fluid oil is made of 100% squalene oil which is distilled from high quality Mediterranean olives. Squalene is an antioxidant that promotes cell growth, protects the skin from harmful UV rays ☀️, and restores the moisture barrier. Olivarrier prides themselves on their natural/green approach aka being free of synthetic fragrance, parabans and other additives 👌. As instructed, I press/pat 1-2 drops of oil onto my skin at the end of my routine. The clear oil is quite viscous but to my surprise, it sinks in fairly quickly once applied. With the weather warming up, this oil can be a little much so I've only been using it in my night routine. I think I'll start mixing a drop or two into my lotion or emulsion and start incorporating it that way into my morning routine ☀️. When Olivarriet hit 0.8l a few campaigns ago, I got really excited. I love facial oils and I've been so intrigued by this brand. This is Squalane oil which is insanely versatile. Right now I like to use about 4 drops on my face right before bed and on my elbows and cuticles too. The oil comes in a gorgeous glass jar with dropper. That's why it's so nice, you can take it with you AND use it anywhere on the body. No fragrance to report. You can add a few drops to your current moisturizer as well, be it for your face or your body. What a nice and beautiful simple design too. Olivarrier 100% squalane fluid oil - When I received this product, I had many questions. The label says that it’s 100% squalene oil but what is that? A quick Google search was necessary. As a natural moisturizer, squalane is an oil that is naturally made in the body. Similar to collagen, squalene’s production within one’s body starts to reduce from age 20; so using a product with squalene brings balance to the skin’s oils, and this oil is perfect for all skin types. Huge plus to this product- this oil is derived from 100% pure olives and no fillers. It does not have a lingering oily feel because it absorbs quickly. It has no smell and doesn’t clog the pores. I expect squalane to have a bigger impact on the market in the near future. At the moment, argan oil seems to be very popular but I definitely see squalane to be the next “IT” item within the beauty industry.

I'm a facial oil lover and have been really curious about this one as Squalane seems to be the hot ingredient at the moment. I've seen popular squalane oils by @biossance, @indie_lee & The Ordinary. This is a lightweight clear oil with no scent that I could pick up. The instructions say to use 1-2 drops and I find that to be more than enough even for my dry skin. That means this 30ml bottle will last forever! In the mornings, I press 1-2 drops on my face after serums and before sunscreen and makeup. It absorbs super quickly and my face isn't greasy or shiny at all. I've noticed that my makeup looks much better now that there are no dry patches for my foundation to cling to! At night, I mix this oil with emulsion or cream for added moisture. After 2 weeks of use, I haven't experienced any negative side effects and might start using it on my cuticles and other dry spots on my body as this needs to be used up within 12 months of opening. BTW I do take a slight issue with the "0 chemical" claim since everything is a chemical. I know @olivarrier doesn't use parabens or synthetic fragrances in their so they're trying to capture that "green beauty" audience.

I have been wanting to try a squalane facial oil for quite some time now, so I was very excited to try this product. I like the packaging and think that a dropper bottle is perfect for this type of product. I am very break-out prone, but happy to say that this product did not break me out at all, even when using quite a few drops on my face at a time. It has a very lightweight feel and non-greasy texture, yet provided great moisture to the drier areas of my combination skin. I tried applying a couple of drops on top of my evening moisturizing, underneath, and mixing it in, and all techniques gave me the same result -- more moist, plump, and glowing skin in the morning. It has no scent, which is great for me, because I prefer products that are either unscented or have just a light, fresh scent. My review of the Olivarrier Fluid Oil: pretty decent 100% olive derived squalane oil with awful packaging that breaks if you tighten the lid slightly too much. 😭👎 Swipe through for a "swatch" and a picture of the broken lid. ⠀⠀⠀⠀ I've been trying out this oil for the past 10 days and mentally comparing it to the The Ordinary's 100% Plant-Derived Squalane. In terms of effect, I feel that these 2 products (so far) are very similar. I usually mix a few drops into a serum or cream and I find that my skin feels more moisturized after use. When I use it at night, I usually wake up with plump and happy skin. ⠀⠀⠀⠀ In terms of texture, both oils are fairly light, but I found that the Olivarrier oil is a little thicker and takes a bit longer to absorb compared to The Ordinary's oil. Both oils are completely unscented, which is a plus. The packaging on the Olivarrier oil (when unbroken), is beautiful and the minimalist style of the brand really appeals to me. ⠀⠀⠀⠀ When I saw the 0.8liter USA had this oil to "Try Now" for $3.99, I jumped because had been seeing this brand all over instagram and it really appealed to me. Honestly, I'm pretty mad that the lid on this broke after only 10ish uses, and if I paid anywhere close to the 36,000KRW retail price, I would be even more irritated. Something this expensive should not have such shoddy packaging!! ⠀⠀⠀⠀ I will continue to use this product and compare to The Ordinary's version and I will likely write up a more detailed review on my blog once I have tested both more thoroughly. I was super excited to try this when I saw @maskaddict give the heads up that this was on @08l_usa as a try now for $3.99. I had been using the Squalane oil from The Ordinary and loving it so I had pretty high expectations when seeing this. Overall, it's okay. I typically add a few drops to my moisturizer or spread some all over my face before a sheet mask. I didn't see any really results in moisture but it also didn't break me out. I didn't notice a scent (also a plus). The packaging is probably my favorite - I love clear simple bottles. Is this worth the full retail price? Not for me. I'm really glad to have tried it, but I'll probably be switching back to The Ordinary soon enough.

I like squalane--it's light, odorless and absorbs well. Right now, it's my oil of choice. I rub two drops between my palms and press it onto my face for some warm moisture. . So what is the difference between this and Biossance? The Olivarrier is more dense. A drop of it will sink if dropped into a bottle of Biossance, and the Biossance lingers at the top if dropped into the Olivarrier. (Wish I had videos for proof, but it was too difficult to capture these clear oils). The Olivarrier takes longer to absorb than the thinner Biossance. . My advice: if you are interested in squalane, try the one from Deciem, which is also derived from olives. It could be from the same European manufacturer as Olivarrier--after all, I'm pretty sure there aren't squalane manufacturers in S. Korea. If the olive-derived squalane feels too heavy but you like everything else about it, give the Biossance/Neossance a try, which is made by feeding bioengineered bacteria lots of sugarcane. Yum! If you are interested in treating yourself visually with Olivarrier's beautiful, weighty packaging, then definitely purchase this oil. Just refill it with something more affordable.

Olivarrier has been on my radar for a while, so when #08liter had this item listed for their new 'Try Now' option I jumped at the opportunity. On to the review- squalane is an olive-derived oil product that claims to help provide nourishment and calming properties to the skin. The package suggests using about 5 drops- but I would suggest 2-3 drops for normal/oily skin types. This product is light as far as oils go, but it left my skin feeling rather off. Maybe itchy? I really can't describe the sensation it created. It definitely gave nourishment and moisturized my skin- I'm gonna hold off and try this more once the weather cools down again (which won't be for a few months since its officially summertime in California). I'm starting to feel that @olivarrier may be perfect. I've liked every product I've used from them, and my husband is now hooked on the toning lotion and cream. The emollient cream has even been working on my daughters dry skin without causing any irritation. A rare find. Of all the products though the Fluid Oil is definitely my favorite. This is made from 100% olive derived squalane oil. The texture is surprisingly light and absorbs incredibly quickly. There's no greasy feeling after using this, just very soft skin. A little also goes a long way, I've been using this nightly for almost 7 weeks now and have only gone through 1/4 of it. So what is squalane? It's a natural lipid that is already present in our skin, but as we age the production of this goes down. Squalane is an antioxidant, it promotes cell growth and protect us from UV damage. Since this is naturally occurring in our skin it isn't likely to clog pores making it ideal for all skin types, including oily. This oil is pleasant to use, with a great slip but minus that oily feeling. This is light enough I've even been able to put it around my eyes, giving the skin there some serious nourishment. This leaves me with a lovely glow and healthy feeling skin. Because it absorbs so quickly and completely my skin looks plumper and smoother. This is one of those products that has noticeable benefits, and long term ones. Basically I think it's worth every penny and will be buying a replacement as soon as I get through this. I so wish I had this during the blistering cold winter months gone. I have dry skin and have been looking for the perfect oil to add to my routine and I think I've found it. This @olivarrier fluid oil is 100% #squalene derived from only the best olives, no chemicals, nothing you can't pronounce it can identify. The pakaging is a simple but effective as you can get but still has that air of fancy 😉 the oil has no scent and isn't as greasy as you would think and it absorbs quickly. This oil is helps to protect from UV rays in addition to adding moisture to your face. I am just gonna say it ; living in NYC adds the factor of pollution so I have to take that into consideration when doing my routine daily. The squalene helps to heal and protect your skin from these harmful effects I can't really get away from. This oil can be used on your face and body but I think it's too rich for my body so I love using it on my face, neck, hands and elbows at night for that extra moisture and because a little goes a long way I don't have to worry about wasting, especially with the convenient dropper. I absolutely love oils and have used many kinds in the past few years after discovering how well they worked for my oily skin. The most impressing thing about this oil is how quickly it dries down. It dries down faster than any of the other oils I've used in the past. I've only been using the squalene oil for the last few days, but I love how soft this makes my face feel! I've replaced my usual oil with Olivarrier's and use this morning and night. I can honestly say that it provides enough moisture for my combination skin when used in this routine. I don't have to follow up with any creams, just spf in the morning. It's been a nice, light moisturizer for the humid summer heat of Texas.

Texture: Colorless runny oil. Absorbs fast leaving behind a non-greasy finish. . Scent: None, no matter how close I stick my nose up against it. . Performance: I use this as an occlusive, in both my AM and PM routines. It's been 5 days and using it directly after toners and serums felt a little too rich and stifling on my combo sensitive skin. Mixing a drop of this with a lotion and applying it only on my drier parts (cheeks) felt more comfortable. Using it both ways only gave me a quick boost of hydration for a couple of hours, nothing long-lasting. I prefer this on my body as it sinks in fast and does not get on my clothes. Other than hydration, I don't notice any other effects after using this. . Packaging: Elegant glass bottle with a dropper. Great for controlling how much to use and ease of getting the same amount each time. However, I did break the cap after screwing it on too tightly. The olivarrier fluid oil is made of 100% squalane which is something that naturally occurs in our skin. This oil is plant based squalane, from olives. It comes packaged in a lovely dropper bottle that is really nice to use. The oil itself has no scent and is thin and lightweight. Just a small drop or two goes a long way on my face. I mainly target the driest patches of my face which includes around my nose, on my chin and a bit on my forehead. I think it's a very gentle, dependable oil and especially great for those with dry skin. Like I already said, a little bit goes a long way. I definitely will keep using this on my dry patches as needed!

This is a plant derived oil and is free from chemicals or other additives. It's 100% squalane. The packaging was very elegant and you get 30ml in this bottle. I found the dropper to be sufficient to get product and the lid screwed on tightly for no spills. The oil itself is a runny consistency and completely transparent. It found that compared to another squalane oil I tried it absorbed faster and didn't leave my face greasy. It added moisture to my skin without making it feel heavy. My preferred way to use it was a second to last step for my night routine or after a sheet mask. It helped with any stickiness from mask essence and added a layer of deep mositure that my skin loved. I always added a sleeping pack over to lock in the layers to my skin. In the morning my skin felt very hydrated and moisturized and I rinsed off with water in the am. I really enjoyed this facial oil and would recommend it to anyone with dry skin like me. It's definitely the added boost to keep my skin happy and flake free. I have been long wanting to try this oil and I wish I had tried it during the cooler winter months. Olivarrier makes their Squalene oil from Mediterranean olives and it is free from chemicals, preservatives, fragrances, chemicals, dyes and it is dermatological tested. Squalane not only adds moisture to your skin, but it enhances the skin barrier, helping to protect your delicate skin from UV rays and external stressors ~ such as pollution ~ healing your skin with its potent antioxidant properties while locking moisture in. I actually like Squalane oils because it is also naturally antibacterial, so it helps heal and fight blemishes. This oil can be used on both face and body and I will start using it on my body as it is just a bit too much with the warmer months to use on my face. I only need one drop of this oil to really moisturize my face and I can only use it at night time right now. It is an excellent oil, however ~ my oily skin does not break out, it doesn't clog my pores and it leaves my skin looking radiant. You can see with just one drop (and it really deposits a ton of oil in a drop), my hand is more than enough moisturized and deeply nourished. My skin is SO soft and despite being an oil, my skin didn't feel tacky or sticky. A little goes a long way with this oil ~ if you have dry skin, your skin might absorb it quicker than mine. I do think this oil works nicely for all skin types ~ you just need to determine how much to use and when to use it. I do really like this oil, it just too rich in 80 degree weather!!
