🌸 Mask 13 of 1001 🌸 Aprilskin - Mummy Mud Mask ➡️Swipe to see more photos!➡️ 🌟Star ingredient(s): kaolin and bentonite, which are types of clay! 🙇🏻Claims: removes skin impurities including sebum and dead skin cells, skin firming/tightening, nourishing and brightening ❕Instructions: cleanse and tone your face, apply the mask, wait 30 minutes (the longer you leave it on and the drier you let it get, the more effective this mask is, supposedly). Cleanse off residue, tone again, and continue with your normal routine. 👗Fit: This is a two-piece mask, which I am a big fan of! It didn’t slide anywhere and adhered pretty well. No odd slits or cut-outs, either. ⚙️Material: First off, right when you pull the mask out of the package, you’ll see that there’s a clear piece of rectangular plastic that’s folded in half around the mask. After peeling that off, the mask itself comes with 3 layers—a thick layer of opaque white plastic (commonly used for mask backings), clay-soaked cotton in the middle, and then a very thin translucent plastic that kind of reminds me of biocellulose. The method for applying this is very similar to how you’d apply a Lovemore masks, but easier. First, peel off the thick white plastic, then apply the cotton side to your face. Adjust it to your liking, then peel off the thinner plastic. Overall it applies very easily and well! After the mask dried, I realized how apt it is to call this a “mummy mask”—swipe to the 3rd pic to see! The cotton looks very much like you could use it in a homemade mummy costume for Halloween 👻 👃🏼Scent: Not really much of a scent—it’s got a slight earthy smell that you’d know if you’ve used any other clay mask before. 💧Essence: Uh, well this mask doesn’t really have any “essence”, but rather the cotton is soaked in a water-y clay mixture. There wasn’t too much or too little—the amount was appropriate and didn’t drip everywhere. ⏰Time: I left this on for 30 minutes (until it dried), as instructed by the package! I was working while using this (bless work from home Wednesdays!), so I didn’t really move my face around much till it was time to take it off. It really feels like you’ve sort of papier-mâchéd your face! After removal, I got in the shower and rinsed off my face—no additional cleansing. The residue came off very easily with water, and there wasn’t much on my face left from the mask to begin with. ☔️Absorption: n/a for this mask 🌓Effects: You know, I’ve always been skeptical about masks helping with pores. I have a big pore problem, and I don’t think anything has really done much to help them—but this mask did! My pore size wasn’t DRAMATICALLY decreased, but they were noticeably smaller for sure! Also, the last thing I expected this mask to do was brighten my skin (I mean, it’s a clay mask, right?!), but it did! My skin was a bit dehydrated afterwards, but doing the 7-skin method with my favorite soothing product (Manyo Factory Herb Green Jelly Skin) helped it get right back to where it needed to be. 💆🏻Skin types: I think this would be suitable for all skin types! It’s really important that you tone before using it, though. And to the dry/dehydrated skinned folks—be careful not to leave it on for too long! 💵Price: $3.75-$5 per mask 💓Repurchase?: Yes! 📝Notes: I, like almost everyone else, enjoy doing the occasional clay mask (especially since I have oily skin)! But I really hate the mess of spreading it with my hands and getting clay everywhere. While your hands will definitely get a little dirty when applying this mask, the mess is reduced a lot. I would definitely recommend this mud mask; not only did I leave my pore tight and smooth but also the mask actually stays in place unlike most cotton or gel masks. I will definitely be using all the masks in this box unlike other I have received.

April Skin Mummy Mud Mask is a mud mask in sheet mask form! I feel like there isn’t a whole lots of mud sheet masks on the market, or at least I haven’t seen that many. It’s a great concept, combining the benefits of mud mask with the mess free application of a sheet mask! . Ingredient wise it is a pretty standard clay mask with kaolin and Hawaiian clay 🌋 acting as the key players that absorb impurities. It is a two piece mask and the packaging was convenient and mess free (there are protective sheets on both sides of the mask). I have a rather large face and the fit was excellent! It took about 45 minutes for the mask to dry on my face and peeling off the mask was completely mess free! The best part about this product is that all I had to do was do a quick rinse with water to wash off the tiny amount of clay the mask left behind! . As with most standard mud masks, it left my skin temporarily softer and my pores looked a bit smaller, but sadly there were no long term benefits. I am glad I was able to try the Mummy Mud Mask from @aprilskin_korea thanks to @0.8l_usa 😍😍😍. It is very easy to use with no mess at all which is a huge plus for me(messy masks makes me think twice before applying em😒). So after washing & toning my face as instructed, I opened the user friendly packaging, unfolded the mask and took off the transparent film and applied the first part of the mask then peeled the upper white film, then I did the same thing for the second part and VOILA easy as pie 😊. I find this method to be innovative and convinient to use comparing to the ordinary powder mud masks,which are a bit messy. I kept the mask on for 45min for even better results until it mostly dried. Then I peeled it off gently. I didn't see any hair coming of with the dry mask nor any redness on my sensitive skin which means it is very mild. In fact it shooted my dry & deshydrated skin😚😚😚. The box comes with 5 sheets and is a great value for the price in my opinion(5 for $25👌). The key ingredients for this mask are: Hawaiian Clay, Green Tea Extract, Calendula Flower Extract & Kaolin and other composants. This mask claims to👇👇👇👇: ✅Remove sebum, dead skin cells and skin impurities from pores and skin. ✅Tighten & soften and radiant complexion by nourishing skin and removing impurities. ✅Firm & tighten the skin. I honestly got all the claimed results above with today's first use. My skin felt thigh gradually as the mud dried!! I felt clean & pampered. I love the soft touch of my face. I am really impressed😊. This is a 2-piece sheet mask that has been designed for pore care. Its natural mineral ingredients makes the skin smooth and clear. Some of its ingredients are: Volcanic Ash, Green Leaf Extract and Witch Hazel. This is a Paraben and Sulfate free product. After cleansing my face and smoothing my skin with a natural witch hazel toner. I opened the nice package to take the mask out. I removed the transparent film of the upper mask first and applied it on my face and then I proceed to peal off the white matte film. I applied the lower mask in the same way. I waited 30 minutes until the mask became dry. The smell of the mask was very light & fresh. After removing it, I saw a few extractions from some of my pores, mostly around my nose on the mask. The mask was gentle with my skin. This was a great way to spread a clay formula onto my skin without any mess. It left my skin feeling so soft and looking brighter. My pores looked extra clear. It's good for skin detox, oil control and has acne fighting properties. This is a Korean based product but the nice thing is that there are instructions on how "how to use" instructions in English. Pretty good mask. I tried one, my mom tried one. Very hydrating but fit well coming in 2 pieces instead of 1. I did not care for the smell but my mom did not notice it so it could just be me.

I received this mask to try from 0.8L for free for my honest review. I love sheet mask so I was super excited to try this one! This was a bit different since it was a mud sheet mask. Before applying the mask you have to peel the film off of each side, this is where the mud is. I thought the mask fit my face well which made it comfortable to wear. The mask did dry firm on my skin after the allotted time but since the mud was on the sheet mask, there wasn't as much to clean off my face afterwards which I liked. I sometimes shy away from mud masks because they'e messy and they can break me out. This was super easy to take off and clean up and I didn't experience any breakouts after using. This left my face feeling soft and clean without drying it out or causing any redness. I will definitely be using this again! I would recommend this product for anyone with oily or combo skin or anyone with acne.
