Review Operating Standards

2. Posting period

• Published reviews stay up with no expiry date. We do not take a review down simply because time has passed.
• A review remains as it is until the author deletes it, or until publication stops under the removal criteria below.
• We do not make old reviews look recent; the original writing date is shown as is.

3. Star rating criteria and their effect

• The author sets the star rating directly, from 1 to 5. Operators do not change it.
• A product or campaign score is the arithmetic mean of the star ratings of published reviews (out of 5). We do not weight recent reviews or drop older ones.
• Effect: the average rating is used as a sorting and recommendation criterion in listings.
• Reviews written in return for compensation are also counted in the average. Excluding them would make the average diverge from actual user experience.

4. Removal criteria and objection procedure

Publication stops in the following cases

• Reviews the author deleted
• Abusive or discriminatory language, or content that defames another person
• Spam posted for advertising or promotional purposes
• Content that infringes a third party's personal information or copyright
• Duplicate reviews posted repeatedly for the same product
• Reviews confirmed to be untrue through our verification

We do not remove a review because its rating is low. Brands and sellers cannot request removal on the sole ground of a low rating.

Objections

If publication of a review you wrote is stopped or the review is deleted, we tell you the reason. If you disagree with the outcome, you can file an objection at help@08liter.com.

What to include

• Information that identifies the review (campaign or product name, when it was written)
• The reason you were given
• The grounds on which you disagree

Once your objection is received, we look at the case again and reply with the outcome and the reasons for it. If the re-review shows the action was wrong, we restore the review.
