It's more like a protective cream with pink color like calamine it dries matte so necessary to moisturizer well it gives a brightening effect probably because of the pink color . Overall a nice skin protectant I wish it had some moisturizing properties added to it .

Atopalm Real Barrier Cicarelief cream is for skin that requires deep moisture, soothes, calms and helps skin recover from external irritation. This cream gives extra care to skin that might have irritations and contains Calamine to help protect skin from outside irritations especially if your skin is itchy. Panthenol helps calm the skin and Madecassoside helps soothe the skin. The cream can also be used after minor dermatological procedures or during/after monthly breakouts. Also can be used to relieve symptoms caused by Poison Ivy and Poison Oak. Also good for sunburned skin to relieve irritation. The cream is tinted with a pink and white mixture and seems to be not thick and a little watery once you spread over the affected parts of the face. I only used small dime size just for my dry irritated areas because of using Retin A that drys my skin and cause small flakiness. I found that it does absorb pretty fast and there is no sticky or tackiness found once it's absorbed. There is a bit of a scent of plants probably because of the panthenol in it but once in the skin, you won't smell it anymore. I don't find it extra moisturizing but it does help with irritation especially if you have peeling. I would recommend this to someone who has irritated skin that is mild or moderate. I give this a 9/10. I'll continue using this for when my skin is irritated. The purpose of this product is to strengthen weakened skin barrier with MLE Real Barrier formula.  This cream is formulated with high concentrations of Calamine to help protect the skin from outside irritations, Panthenol to calm and Madecassoside to soothe. This cream is added to my favorites of @atopalmusa products. It has a thick consistency out of the tube but once massaged into the skin leave it nice and soft, matte finish. It has a slight herb scent that isn't noticeable. I've been using it as a final step in my night time routine and on my pimples. I wake to calm smooth skin when usually I'll have some redness in my nose area. I cannot praise this brand enough. I love the their whole line and concept. Great for sensitive skin.

On to the claims of this product: 🔹promotes skin recovery during and after monthly breakouts 🔹creates a protective barrier on the skins surface to protect from external aggressors and is also ideal for sun damaged skin 🔹formulated with high concentrations of Calamine to help protect the skin from outside irritations, Panthenol to calm and Madecassoside to soothe 🔹NO synthetic colorants and is suitable for sensitive skin I use the cica cream as a spot treatment for dry patches and sunspots. The cream has a pink tint to it and blends into the skin nicely. There’s no greasy or pink powdery residue left behind. I haven’t noticed any changes on my sunspots, but my dry patches have improved. I’ll continue using this cream and recommend it, if you’re trying to improve acne or blemishes.

I give this a thumbs up, but it's complicated.... Atopalm Real Barrier CICARelief Cream (courtesy of @0.8L_USA) Okay, I love my CICA creams, I really do. And I am so digging the Atopalm Real Barrier line, that it was inevitable that I would apply to this campaign and try it out. I will say upfront, although this worked well, the initial texture of this cream just turned me off to no end. First up, let's talk about this CICA cream and its ingredients, as it does sound really good. It has some nice moisturizing, calming and nourishing ingredients with panthenol, triglycerides, ceramides, hyaluroric acid, phtyosterols. So far so good. It has madecassoside, which helps soothe, reduce redness and inflammation and helps heal your skin. . . It has boron nitride, which not only helps moisturize, but has oil absorbing properties and will create a smooth, satin powdery finish on your skin, so you can use this during the daytime and not have it affect your makeup (so they say). This has another anti-caking ingredient in aluminum starch octenylsuccinate, so this really won't give your skin a dewy finish. What I really like is that it has calamine in it ~ calamine is a very soothing ingredient and will help reduce swelling and itchiness. It is also an antiseptic, which will help prevent infections and will disinfect and it is an astringent as well. This is considered an essential medicine by WHO (World Health Organization). Calamine can cause brightening of the skin tone as it is basically zinc oxide, which helps fade blemishes, hyper-pigmentation and give an overall brightening effect on your face. In fact, many people use calamine lotion to help fade and prevent blemishes, control oil and also as a moisturizer. It can leave a bit of a white cast on your skin, btw. . . Okay, so far this cream sounds great for my oily skin and it is ~ it is moisturizing with an increase of 19% and it reduces oils by 44% (all of those anti-caking ingredients). It absorbs and sinks into my skin without leaving any greasy or oily residue, leaving only a satin/matte finish. I do have to work at it by patting it in, as it really resists sinking into my skin at first. It smells GREAT too ~ that classic spicy scent I am used to smelling from the Real Barrier line. HOWEVER, I dislike the initial texture. It comes out so thick in the tube and it just reminds me of Elmer's Glue. It isn't sticky or anything, and it doesn't leave a greasy finish, but I hate that initial texture. It works well and I use actually at night because it is so dense on my skin ~ it helps calm and heal my skin, reduces redness and blemishes. BUT ELMER'S GLUE. Seriously ~ if they can thin out that texture just a tad, I would love this ~ I don't know if this is moisturizing enough for dry skinned people, because it has so many oil absorbing and anti-caking ingredients in here, it just might not be enough moisture.. but for me, it is. I think this cream would be perfect if your skin is peeling like crazy or damaged, as it would really help soothe and hydrate your skin. I just wish it was a little more lightweight in its texture. I don't have sensitive skin but for some reason, I've been getting mysterious rashes (dry, itchy, and red) on my checks that appear out of nowhere and disappear completely in about 24 hours. It doesn't happen very often, but when it does, it is super itchy and annoying. While regular calamine lotion did nothing for the itch, this Cicarelief Cream definitely helped to calm it down! It provided a mild but instantaneous relief when I first applied it, and although it doesn't stop the itching and doesn't make the redness go away completely, it does make a difference on my skin! While this is marketed as a cream this product has more of a thickened lotion like texture. It spreads easily and doesn’t leave the skin feeling greasy. I used this product on my hands 2-3x a week before bed to help soothe and heal hangnails and my cracking cuticles. I applied it to my nail beds after my nightly skincare routine and rubbed it in to my finger tips. I rarely use lotion despite how dry and my hands get during the winter, mainly because of the greasy residue most hand creams leave so applying it before bed offered the best chance to test the claims of this product. . . I found that it absorbed quickly and easily leaving no white cast on my skin. The next morning I found the hangnails on my fingers had almost completely healed up. I can honestly say I was surprised by the power this little tube of cream had on my skin and highly recommend this product to anyone suffering from dry cracked skin as a way to help rebuild a damaged skin barrier. . . ✨Real Barrier Cicarelief Cream - Review✨ I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked the cream! ✨ Consistency - I thought this cream was going to have a thinner consistency, but it is actually on the thicker side, which I really like! ✨ Scent - The scent is almost like a really light citrus, which I love! The scent doesn’t linger long though, so if you are a little sensitive to scents I don’t think this would bother you too much! ✨ Pros - • The cream actually seemed to keep my eczema prone skin calm and bring down the redness and inflammation that I get on my cheek bones. • I love the scent. • It left my skin feeling almost velvety, not sticky at all. ✨ Cons - • The cream almost seemed to only halfway sink into my skin. If I scratched my nose, a layer of pinkish-white would be scratched off and you could see where the product gathered in the creases of my face. ✨ Overall impressions - I really enjoy this cream and would probably purchase it again. 4/5

You can tell calamine existence from the slight pinkish color of the cream. • Performance: I love this cream!! When I first spread this cream on my face, it seemed so thick. This cream was meant to be apply to needed spots only but I slathered it all over my face 🤣 my face definitely felt soothed. The redness on my cheeks were lessen. I sampled the Real Barrier Cicarelief Cream and I enjoyed it! I was not familiar with the brand or even the kind of cream so I did some research and also tried to use to on different body areas and for different reasons. The cream didn’t seem to have any scent-good or bad- but had a nice thick texture and was easy to use. It absorbed quickly and didn’t leave any greasy residue which I liked. The best results I got were when I used it for some really uncomfortable razor burn I had on my leg & knee. I put a moderate layer of cream on the areas that were red and painful before I went to bed. It immediately started working to calm the skin and the pain I felt there which was great! The next night, the red bumps and inflamed areas looked and felt so much better, I couldn’t believe it! Typically when I shave, I use regular lotion on my legs but any razor burn I get usually gets more inflamed and it continues to be red for days after. It was nice to have a product to help with this :) I would definitely recommend this to my family and friends and will be buying more when this sample is gone. Thank you!

Real Barrier Cicarelief Cream is designed for sensitized skin that has been effected by outside irritants. Due to the high amounts of Calamine, Real Barrier makes for an excellent repair cream for various damaged, irritated or troubled skin such as sunburns, or break outs. The company even claims that it helps relieve poison oak/poison ivy. ⭐ Product Use: Apply to effected areas after skin has been cleansed. Gently pat dry, use AM/PM. 💭 Overall thoughts: My skin has been rough this winter and has been overly sensitized with a lot of acne flare ups. I paired this with #etudehouse barrier relief toner for effective results that has helped reduce the inflammation of my acne. I applied this twice daily over my chin and cheeks and within 24 hours, the redness had dramatically decreased and my skin felt soothed. I found that this works best as a spot treatment or mask instead of a moisturizer. I highly recommend this if you are someone with easily irritated skin and would repurchase this again in the future.

I used too much of my exfoliating toner and it irritated my skin. Usually I have to add a ton of product to try and reduce my skin irritation, but this cream is great for treating overexfoliated skin. I used this cream three nights in a row and it corrected my redness and skin irritation. Honestly, after the first night I saw a big difference in the redness and sensitivity of my skin. I apply a thick mask of the cream and it absorbs quickly without leaving my skin looking greasy. I do like to add another moisturizer (mostly oil) under this cream so I get an extra moisturizing boost. There's a very faint fragrance in the cream but it's due to the essential oils added to the cream. This doesn't bother me but if you're allergic to essential oils you might want to patch test before use. So far I have not been disappointed by any #realbarrier products. I love the fact that they're geared to repairing the skin barrier. The products are great for when my skin is going through a rough patch or I just want to add extra protection. Will repurchase.
