Hello everyone happy Friday. Here in Colorado we have been having sunny 💯 degree days for the last week or so. And everyone knows what that means, you better be applying that #sunscreen. Over the years there have been so many wonderful advances in #sunscreen that you have no excuse not to use one. With it being nearly 💯 degrees and sunny it was the perfect time to try a #sunscreen and I have had my eye on #earthsrecipe #waterfulsungel ever since I began my #kbeauty journey. So guys and girls I know everyone hates the thought of applying a thick white paste that smells like sunscreen all over there face during there #amroutine but I cannot stress using sunscreen enough, so first off it could save your life by preventing sunburns that later on could lead to melanoma or Worse malignant melanoma. More people die from skin cancer every year then any other cancer, this is probably due to the lack of information that the older generations had about the sun. But it's 2018 now so no more excuses Did I mention that sunscreen will make you look dramatically younger by stopping the harmful Ray's of the sun from aging your skin beyond your years. So onto the review this sunscreen is exactly what it says it is in it's name it is a #waterfulsungel so the consistency is nothing like old white thick creams it is actually more of a light watery gel, it soaks into my skin almost immediately in fact on days that my skin feels dry I either use this in two layers or after applying one layer of this #sunscreen I use a additional lotion prior to applying my #sunscreen. This Waterfulsungel is super easy to incorporate into your #morningroutine. I just apply it as the final step in your skincare routine. I had my boyfriend test out this product in order to get a males perspective, and he loved it, he kept asking if what I was applying to his skin was the sunscreen he couldn't believe how refreshing and lightweight it was. He even asks me for it by name now. I love being able to protect his skin and mine with a product we both love using. Over the last several years, I have really become more& more aware of the importance of consistently using a sunscreen! I have a more fair - light skin tone, and in my opinion, I feel that I look better & healthier when I have at least a touch of color. Years ago, I achieved this by laying out in the sun & maybe using an SPF 15. Typically, I would end up with a slight burn at first, but I would tan after that. Now that I am in my late 30’s, I see that those teenage years of tanning took several years to fully show up as damage to my skin. I have several skin spots that are darker that I know without a doubt were/are the result of sun ☀️ exposure & several different sunburns. With the array of SPF’s on the market now, there really isn’t a reason to run out of the house everyday without some skin care protection from the damaging effects of the sun. There are formulas out there now that don’t feel greasy, are protective & gentle on your skin, and that optimize skin health, while helping you to maintain a more youthful look! Thanks to @0.8l_usa I was selected to try out Earth’s Recipe 💦 Waterful Sun Gel - free of charge - in exchange for my opinion. I found this particular SPF to be light, more moisture based vs. chalk/ zinc like, & to have a nice light citrus 🍊 type scent. I also found that it mixes well with my regular facial primer when applying before my makeup! Although... probably because I definitely have more combination skin, I always need a touch more hydration! Happy Weekend! And welcome to my first @earthsrecipe productolino. I have seen this brand grace the page of many an Instagrammer but I had yet to try it it myself. It was fitting that I got the sunscreen first as I do love testing them. This one is rated spf 50 PA+++ . . . First off the texture is incredible. If you hate wearing sunscreen you may like this one since its watery, and disappears into the skin without leaving any residue or white cast (as it doesn't use any metal oxides). It says it has a fragrance but I can barely smell it, it's quite light to me. And if you're against parabens, mineral oil or synthetic dyes this is free of all them too. I say if you're interested in trying this brand def check out this sunscreen. I haven't formally tested it against others, but it wears like a dream bare skin or under makeup. . . . . Repeat as needed or after towel-drying, swimming, perspiring,or playing sports. The 50ml flip top bottle looks small, but it’s a pretty standard size for most sunscreens & also easy to carry around. It also has a seal. It has a faint nice fresh scent, gone quickly. Although it has 'Gel' in the name, the texture is more like watery lotion than gel, but it has a lightweight, gel-like feel when applied on skin. So I guess it justifies the word 'Gel' in the name 😁. It spread easily, absorbed quickly & left no white cast. I've been using this for a few weeks and haven't had any abnormal breakouts. It has a dewy finish but it didn’t make me look greasy, so I feel comfortable with it. I like how it made my skin slightly glow, no make up needed. But if you’re looking for a matte finish, this isn't the one for you.

[Quick Review] Earth’s Recipe Waterful Sun Gel . Texture/Feel: This sunscreen was not at all what I thought It would be like texture-wise. I expected a jelly-like, texture. Instead, this is thin, but not watery. . Performance/Thoughts: I’m no sunscreen connoisseur, but I was in the market for a new one. It is just the right texture (thin but not watery). After some initial whiteness when working the product into the skin (this scared me at first) it absorbs in quickly, without a trace. I was excited to try this Waterful Sun Gel because it's SPF 50. I've never tried a sunscreen with an SPF that high, so I was eager to see how it worked. My first time trying this Earth's Recipe product I applied it to just my arms so I would be able to notice a difference. It had a nice light scent to it, was lightweight, not oily, and absorbed immediately so it was not sticky. I was volunteering on this hot day, so I was outside from 8:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. My arms got a nice, light tan, while the top of my nose and forehead were sunburned. So day 1 I was pleasantly surprised with the results, and haven't gotten sunburn once while using this product since then. I highly recommend this sun gel for the hot summer days to come!

It sits well under makeup and I find that makeup application is ridiculously smooth and easy on top of this sunscreen with no piling at all. There is no white cast once you spread it in. Its claims about unclogging pores is interesting, though I haven’t noticed a difference after a couple of uses so far. I think this is an awesome lightweight sunscreen and I look forward to using it this summer as it doesn’t feel thick or heavy. I was wondering if my sisters of color know the importance of sunscreen? How many of you actually incorporate sunscreen in your A.M. routines? I kid you not, I still have friends of mine who say, "I'm black, I don't need sunscreen. " To which I reply with pure shock: 🤯😱 Yes you do. Even black people can get skin cancer! Recently I was given the chance to try Earth's Recipe Waterful sun gel; all thanks to @0.8l_usa & @earthsrecipe To me, this is the best Korean sunscreen I've ever tried. Here's what I liked: smooth application, mellow citrus scent that quickly dissipates, creamy texture, and though at first, there is a white cast, that quickly goes away in like two minutes or less. I only didn't like one thing: it comes in a small bottle, probably won't last me the month since I am in the sunshine state!

*I received discounted product in exchange for my honest review* 💧HOW TO USE: apply to face & skin before sun exposure, reapply as needed (may need to be done more often if you are in water or sweating) 💧PROS: - light pleasant smell - small container is great for on-the-go - contains SPF 50+ to protect against UVA/UVB - semi creamy lotion that isn’t runny and goes on cleanly - no greasiness or residue - stays on well! I was out in the full sun for about three hours and didn’t need to reapply (& never got a sunburn!) 💧CONS: -mid to high price for sunscreen (retails for about $25/2.35oz) 💧Overall I really liked this product and it worked very well to keep my skin protected in the hot summer sun. It is a bit pricey as far as sunscreens go so I think that will deter some people from buying. However, the pros definitely outweigh the cons in this product and I highly recommend it! The WATERFUL SUN GEL in SPF 50+ PA+++ is a “feather-light” daily sunscreen that shields the skin from harmful UVA and UVB rays that may contribute to skin damage and premature skin-aging. The sun gel comes in a small 50 ml (1.69 oz) tube and has slightly aqua like scent. It’s watery and has a slightly yellow-beige tint to it. It’s actually much more of a sun milk than a sun gel due to its texture. It’s very easy to blend out and doesn’t leave any hard to blend out white streaks. It soaks into the skin quickly and leaves a moist finish on the skin that makes it ideal to apply makeup over top or just to finish off your skincare regimen. Recommended use is to apply generously 15 minutes before sun exposure as it decreases the risk of skin cancer and aging. Reapply after 80 minutes of swimming or sweating, immediately after towel drying, and/or at least every two hours. It actively protects against UVB and UVA rays. After using, I absolutely love the ease I have in applying this sunscreen. It doesn’t streak or have a strong scent that some sunscreens have. It blends in and absorbs quickly and it’s a great primer for your foundation or BB cream. It has lovely ingredients and the scent is pleasant and not overwhelming. This is really ideal for dry skin as it’s so moisturizing and hydrating on its own. The ingredients are nice quality and the addition of Harrogate’s sparkling water is a very unique addition to a sun care product. The packaging is simple and easy to throw in your pack to take on the go. What I like: the ingredients and how hydrating and moisturizing this product is as well as the lack of strong scents. I like that it doesn’t streak or leave a white caste and it absorbs quickly and is an ideal primer for makeup. The packaging is simple and it’s a small product that fit in any bag to take on the go. I have used this product for about a week so far and I love that it is a waterless sunscreen! the first few times I used it, it absorbed fast and protected my skin. it has a nice consistency and doesn't really have a scent. I love the bottle it comes in you squeeze out what you need and then re-close the top. the cons of this is about the 4th day of using it it didn't absorb as quick. I normally have dry to combo skin and I started noticing this would make my skin oily in my t-zone. .i'll continue to use this for a few more weeks to see if it continues to make my skin oily in the t-zone. Thanks to @0.8l_usa and @earthsrecipe I got to try the earth recipe waterful sun gel and i love it! I use it as a primer under my makeup, I take it with me everywhere especially to go swimming and I also use it on my kids to protect there# faces, this product also helps keeping your pores clean, I totally recommended. .
