PRODUCT REVIEW- Rest-Up Synergy Serum. • I have such mixed feelings on this product. It's one of those things where I can't tell if I like it or not. The packaging is super nice. It's in a nice glass bottle with a pump and a cap that actually clicks on, so I enjoy that. The bottle is also pretty cute. • This has a natural scent to it. It smells kind of herbal, but the smell dissipates a few minutes after you put it on your face. • The texture is kinda thick and gel like. It rubs in pretty easily and doesn't leave your face sticky. It also doesn't pill. However, I only use 1 pump of this because the first few times I used 2 pumps, and it felt SO HEAVY. My face felt gross honestly. But if you only use one pump it doesn't feel like anything. • I do feel like this hydrated my skin pretty well. I didn't notice any results with brightening but I didn't get to use it very long before this review was due. • Overall- I give it a 4/5. I took off a point for the heavy feeling I sometimes experience.

The serum is very lightweight and absorbs into the skin quickly. It leaves no residue or stickiness behind. It has a natural scent that’s sweet which I enjoy. The serum leaves my face matte but with a glow, more like a satin finish. This is a great lightweight serum for the summer, especially if your skin is anything like mine, oily. According to the packaging, this serum is suitable for all skin types except dry. Which I assume because it leaves the skin on the matte side. This product can be purchased for $32.50 at Amazon.

My next @08L_usa review is for another @intermission.global item from their #RestUp line. I've been using the #RestUpSynergySerum for a few weeks. I was surprised to read so many mixed reviews because I'm really enjoying it! I use a number of highly acidic serums and this is the perfect choice to balance those out. The way this hydrates is so soothing and balancing! It creates a lightweight moisture barrier that locks in the previous products and protects damaged skin. This serum is unique in that you can add it to other products! I don't care for as much foundation coverage in the summer so I mixed this in with foundation to lighten it up and protect my skin throughout the day. It won't pill or leave a residue. After patting in, it dries down almost completely matte with minimal tackiness. I love how the serum feels so light yet still manages to be hydrating, and my skin feels nice and plump after application. I am so excited to use this product but I havent been able to use it long enough for a thorough review yet. I will post my review to IG after a few more weeks of testing it out. My first impressions are good though, it has great ingredients and the consistency is good. Updates to come!

Review: I got this in the mail very late so this is more like a first impression. One pump gives you about a dime sized amount and I only need about 1.5 pumps to cover the entire face. Lavender scents really irritate my nose but this one was mild although I could still do without it. This is supposed to work on every skin type except dry skin but mine, which is normal/dry right now, felt well hydrated after applying. It claims to form a moisture barrier that will help give that fresh, dewy, healthy skin look but it dries down matte—didn’t include a picture bc I wasn’t expecting it to do that. This whole brand was created by Cutigen Labs and is supposed to be plant based, cruelty free, and hypoallergenic which hopefully makes it good for sensitized skin. The packaging is once again in all Korean and the only place I could find an English ingredient list was on amazon where the products are sold. I think I have pretty high hopes for this serum bc my skin appeared slightly calmer today after using this as well as switching to an inorganic sunscreen filter. . First Impressions: @intermission.global Rest-Up Synergy Serum ⠀ Unfortunately, I've only had this serum for a few days, so this will be a fairly brief first impressions. ⠀ First off, the packaging of this serum is lovely - a solid feeling glass bottle with a great pump 😍! And of course it's pink, so it's extra insta-friendly 😅 ⠀ The serum itself is a semi-opaque, milky white and has a light gel texture. It smells faintly herbal, but very pleasant. ⠀ The first ingredient is centella asiatica extract, which helps to calm the skin. There is also propanediol to hydrate and enhance absorption, niacinamide to brighten, and sodium hyaluronate to hydrate. ⠀ Sea daffodil extract is said to brighten and hydrate, marine bamboo extract helps damaged skin and maintains elasticity, and madonna lily extract balances the skin's water-oil levels. FYI this also contains lavender oil in case you're sensitive to it. ⠀ I've been using 2 pumps of this twice a day for 4 days now, and I can say that I do enjoy it so far. It's hydrating without feeling heavy (the box says it's not meant for dry skin). It actually leaves an almost matte finish once absorbed. ⠀ So far I can't really say much about it's soothing properties, but I imagine it will work well for that considering the centella asiatica extract. ⠀ I will definitely continue to use this throughout the summer and report back on any extended effects from this serum. So cute and, most importantly, functional because you immediately know what this serum is for and who should be using it. 🌸 So the major claims here are brightening and hydrating. Two words that my skin desperately yearns to epitomize 😅 🌸 I love the smell of this serum! It's distinctively floral. I'm guessing it's the sea daffodils (??) at work, but it smells like a daffodil/lavender mixture to me. Reminds me of an old lavender lotion I had. The smell is fairly strong but quickly dissipates. 🌸 It's quite a large jar and a little goes a LONG way. I'm always tempted to just go HAM and use multiple pumps of a product, but one pump of this gave great coverage over my whole face. 🌸 As you all probably know, sometimes it's incredibly difficult to tell what skincare product is doing what when you use like 6 or 7 of them at a time. I tried to combat that by using this solamente (plus acne medication because ugh) for a couple days. 🌸 This definitely made my skin sooooft and so hydrated. It also honestly seemed to calm down inflammation. There was one bump that I was sure was going to come to a head; it all but vanished after a full night of just the Rest-up Synergy Serum. I imagine that that's where the brightening comes in, how it soothes spots and marks. 🌸 Another test was how it'd perform under my makeup. Foundation seemed to go on very well over it. It did NOT make me any oilier than I already am. I thought it felt nice. Kept my skin very supple under all the layers. 🌸 Final thoughts are that I definitely love this serum. The ingredients are fantastic and they perform as well as you'd hope. @Intermission Rest-Up Synergy Serum Retails for $32.50 (US) Description: lightweight, little to no smell (floral like), off white in color, glass bottle with pump. Very nice packaging, but all of Intermissions packaging is on point !!! Skin type: all but dry (per box). But I think even dry skin can benefit from this serum. Main/highlighted Ingredients: sea daffodil, centella asiatica, & himanthalia elongata. Claims: relax the skin, brighten the skin, moisturize, energize, anti-aging, anti-wrinkle, whitening. Product review : this serum is filled with soothing properties that will heal and tighten your skin. This serum gives a long lasting, lightweight moisture barrier, and gives skin that dewy finish. I have found that everything just mentioned is very true and I have experienced this on my own face, not so much the whitening or anti-wrinkle though. Maybe with longer use. But I find that each of there products, while great, claim to all do the same thing. So each one while beautifully packaged and natural and filled with amazing ingredients, are all a bit repetitive to me. The only real difference I see if the consistency in each, but all have same ingredients and same claims for the most part. I use all of the Intermission products and I love the moisturization I get from them, the dewy look, glowing skin. This is a serum so should be used as, but I have also used it as a last step and did well with that. I love that it contains no harmful substances and is cruelty free and I find each product to be great. Like I said just not so much of a noticeable difference on the whitening and anti-wrinkle. But a great product indeed! And this serum is great for summer as I’ve reached for this more due to the hot weather rather than the #RestUpOilSerum. I would love to see a face wash from this brand ! Intermission Rest-up Synergy Serum Pros: This lightweight serum absorbs easily without causing sticky feeling. It has pleasant scent and contains Centella Asiatica and sea daffodil that help to lighten dark spots. It forms moisture barrier and soothing the skin. For the effects, I do not think I used it for long enough to see wrinkles disappear but light brightening and moisturizing is there for sure. I got to try Intermission rest up synergy serum from 08L and it is one of my favorite serums to compliment my regimen. It absorbs fast, has a refreshing scent and feel to it, and is more jelly like for easy application.
