Today I’m going to be reviewing the Mother of Pearl Inlay Wooden Oval Hair Brush with Flower Bird Design. I received this from @0.8l_usa at a trial price of 3.99 in exchange for my honest opinions. The @antiquealive company specializes in the creation of mother of pearl accessories, beauty, and home decor items. These mother of pearl items are created using methods from the Goryeo dynasty, a Korean dynasty established in 918. Artisans from Antique Alive use the iridescent lining of shells after they are ground up and cut into paper thin slices to then inlay into hand crafted wooden pieces. The process is all done by hand and is a time consuming and arduous process but produces absolutely beautiful pieces. The brush is designed with round ended wooden brush bristles and an air cushion pad to gently remove tangled and snarls of hair while gently massaging your scalp. First of all, the brush is absolutely beautiful to behold. The design I picked features little flowers and birds made from mother of pearl set into a beautiful mahogany wood. The brush comes with a nice box and beige pouch to store the brush. The bristles themselves are soft and flexible making it easy for it to comb through your hair. I used to have really long, thick hair but now it’s medium length and find that this brush does a nice job of detangling my thick hair without being painful. Overall this brush works well for my thick hair and is a beautiful piece to leave on my dresser table. I am very thankful that I had the opportunity to try this gorgeous product and recommend it to anyone as a gift or to treat themselves. The colors used are the iridescent interior lining of shells after grinding and cutting the lining into paper thin slices. The attention to detail is remarkable! Not only is this Hairbrush gorgeous! This mother of pearl hair brush is beautiful!! so lovely to literally display and not use, but alas it's not the case. It comes in a cream pouch to protect it, very lightweight brush even inside the box. It easy goes through knots without breaking the hair and if hair is brittle, is works wonderfully through it too with minimal breakage.

I received the Mother of Pearl inlay scalp massage hairbrush from 0.8l in exchange for my honest review. I actually applied for this brush because of it's beauty, not necessarily to brush my coily hair. I received the square version with beautiful flamingo design. That was nice that you were given a choice. For starters . this brush retails for 60$. Look at the beautiful design. It’s hand crafted, detangles the hair gently and massages the scalp. My hair hasn't seen a brush since I was but a babe, but this mother of pearl beauty was just too pretty to pass up when I saw it on @0.8l_usa! Fortunately, @thekaylabean not only loves a beautiful hairbrush, but she also has hair that doesn't turn into a poofy lion's mane when a brush touches it. Everything about this brush is absolutely lovely and quality. It has a nice weight, a gorgeous aesthetic and pliable, sturdy bristles. This is a little review for the mother of pearl inlay scalp massage brush by antique alive. I received this brush from 0.8L for a small trial fee in exchange for my honest review. My thoughts 💭 I hate that i didn’t like this brush at all. First of all it pulled my hair very bad. I have very thick long hair and it was so hard to brush though my hair . This didn’t work for me but for my little niece it was fine but for $60 oh no not worth it . I wouldn’t recommend but I appreciate the opportunity that I got to try it.

I chose the oval Arabesque design. Wooden hair tools are ideal for detangling hair without breakage whilst providing the scalp with a much needed massage. This is especially important when it comes to curly hair. The design is mother of pearl inlay art, a timeless art that has been carried down for centuries. It's a painstaking process that results in a timeless piece of haircare art. The air cushion has a hole to allow for proper breathing of the brush. The wooden bristles are gentle on the scalp and it massages thoroughly. Unfortunately, this hairbrush isn't ideal for curly hair, as it doesn't have a strong enough grip on the hair for detangling. The air cushion is quite floppy, resulting in the cushion and bristles to collapse too deep into itself. It is however, ideal for a scalp massage. I apply my products first, then gently comb through the hair. Otherwise, it gets caught in my curls easily. The hairs it catches are very difficult to remove. I used a fine tooth comb to remove the hair from the brush. Overall, I'm happy to own such a lovely, high end hairbrush. I use it whenever I feel my scalp a gentle massage. This product is sensory issues friendly. Just my friendly opinion. Note: I purchased this product at a discounted rate in exchange for an unbiased review.

I truly did not expect this brush to work as a detangler since that just isn't its function. But since quite a few reviews stated that it wasn't any good at it I figured I would test that too. This brush is absolutely stunning in person which is the whole reason I wanted it. But it is a great massager and a decent detangler. The key to massaging or detangling with my hair is to use small sections because my hair is very dense. My hair is extremely curly and loves to tangle. If you notice in the video it looked like the brush was snagging my hair. That was actually two hairs tied together and the brush left them both intact. The only hairs removed were shed hairs. It's actually pretty sturdy as well. I dropped it in the shower several times and there are no scratches or cracks. It's a great quality brush and worth $59.99 if this is what you are looking for. It can be found on @Amazon. I'm glad I had the opportunity to try it through @0.8l_usa and @antiquealive at a discounted price of $3.99 in exchange for my honest opinion.

People with thicker hair would have to section areas to get a good brushing through. Thinner or fine hair wouldn’t have that problem and could just brush their hair in my opinion. I did and the bristles massaged my scalp. No pulling or tugging in my hair wet or dry. Would I replace this brush if something happened to the brush part no. I recently received this absolutely gorgeous hairbrush from @antiquealive and this concept interests me so much. Aside from the obvious beauty of this brush, it comes with a long history and story of tradition that is so extremely interesting. First of all, the decoration and design on the brush is hand inlaid Mother of Pearl. The design is so iridescent and is a different color with every angle that you look at it. Each one of their hairbrushes is handcrafted individually using a unique traditional mother of pearl inlay, which is a technique that has lasted in Korea for over 1,000 years. Aside from the beautiful art on the back of the brush, the brush itself is supposed to be anti-static and gentle on the hair. I can honestly say it lives up to the definition. I have a problem usually with brushes, meaning that whenever i brush my hair it frizzes up and becomes poofy. With this brush, though, I didn’t experience that. I wonder if it has to do with the round-ended wooden bristles-- usually I use plastic brushes. The bristles are wooden and created to massage the scalp. They do live up to the name. When I brush my hair with this brush, it evenly takes out all knots and does feel really nice against the scalp. I’ve gotten so many compliments on the artwork on the back as well, in general I just really like this brush. This brush is so lightweight and pretty. I like that it’s not too big and can easily be hold. The mother pearl design is well done and looks really expensive. I like that the brush bristles don’t hurt my scalp too.

ANTIQUE ALIVE Mother of Pearl Inlay Scalp Massage Hairbrush Impressions: All my impressions are completely biased as this brush is SO beautiful. I am overwhelmed by the workmanship. I selected the rectangular shaped Crane design and am so pleased with what I received. The mother of pearl inlay is nothing short of amazing against a black shellacked background. It’s called a “scalp massaging” brush which I’m guessing refers to the rounded wooden pegs that serve as bristles. They’re definitely gentle on scalp & hair, working to gently separate hairs and the heads of the rounded wood pegs won’t tear at sensitive skin. It’s truly a well crafted piece. As much ornamental as it is functional. I love it. It has to be one of the nicest things I’ve gotten a chance to experience through 0.8L. I recommend it as a personal splurge or special gift for a friend. I think any girl would appreciate the beauty of this amazing Antique Alive hairbrush. Mother of pearl inlay scalp massaging hairbrush. price: $50 This is a large size hairbrush. its engraving is filled with mother of pearl. it is made with plastic and has bamboo teeth... its handmade and works great for my frizzy curly hair. I've always avoid hairbrush because my hair break alot when i use them so I always use wide teeth comb but these brushes look so beautiful that I bought two. in reality I believe the price is too much for a hair brush but I can understand why. it is one of a kind,handmade and filled with mother of pearl which is unique but I don't think anyone would want to spend so much for just a brush. I hope they cut down the price. anyways... I love this brush and I believe its a wonderful gift idea. this brush comes in a silk pouch and a very nice box.
