Then rinse clean & pat dry 🧖🏼‍♀️PROS: - good brand with quality ingredients - comes out of container as a balm-like substance but then becomes a sudsy cleanser - marketed for dry & sensitive skin - dermatologist tested - 100% naturally derived scent (Bergamont, Majoram & Chamomile) that is light & refreshing AND doesn’t irritate your skin - easy to use and made my skin feel soft - low suds when adding water so easy to rinse off! 🧖🏼‍♀️ CONS: - I get dry skin during the winter and I was hoping that this would hydrate as well as it’s marketed. Unfortunately, my skin was still dry and felt tight after washing so I still needed extra moisturizer - mid price point (retails for $23/3.5oz bottle) 🧖🏼‍♀️OVERALL, I really enjoy this brand and all their products! Love the scent and the way it transforms from a balm to a cleanser that rinses completely. I do wish that it hydrated my skin a bit more than it did but I will continue to use it and hopefully it will make a difference after continued use. I have been devoted exclusively to oil cleansers for years. I find it hard to recall a time when I preferred suds over the smooth moisturizing qualities that come with oils and balms. Even if you have oily (or in my case combo/dry) skin you can benefit from cleansing balms. My favorite method that always delivers noticeable skin-improving results is to massage a balm or oil cleanser onto the face, leave it sit or massage into the skin for a full minute or more to loosen and remove makeup, dirt & impurities, then buff off with soft (I prefer cold towel in the AM and hot for PM) cotton towel until spotlessly clean. Real Barrier Cleansing Oil Balm is the best of both worlds. I love the convenience of the tube! And it smells like lemons🍋which is my favorite scent! Rinses clean and leaves my skin smooth and hydrated. All of this goodness sans parabens, silicone or mineral oil. But DOES contain bergamot, marjoram and chamomile oils as well as shea butter, olive oil and Vitamin E all in one great formula! . This is a nice solid oil cleanser that turns into a thin, milky cream when water is added after applying it to the face. The appearance of the cleanser as it comes out of the tube is like grainy Vaseline but there is nothing that feels grainy in it. The scent smells like lemon and herbs (Rosemary? Thyme?) It does a really nice job of removing makeup, including waterproof mascara, without burning or irritating the eyes. I felt like there was a slight residue left on the skin after rinsing. Double cleansing does remove this slight residue so it’s not a big deal. My skin did feel soft after using this. The tube holds quite a bit of product and it doesn’t take a whole lot to clean your face so it’s a good value for the money. I would be willing to buy this product. It’s not a holy grail for me because of the slight residue after rinsing, but it does a good job of removing makeup without drying the skin.

Then, lightly wet face and massage again until it turns milky. Rinse clean. So, as of today I have tried six different Real Barrier items and I have loved every single one. The great thing about Real Barrier products is that they're made for sensitive or reactive skin, so the likelihood of having a reaction is greatly diminished. This cleansing balm is the same. It spreads easily without tugging on the skin and nicely breaks down waterproof makeup and sunscreen. I didn't have any reactions or irritations while using this. I pour about a nickle sized amount of the balm and massage it all over my face. I like waiting about a minute with the oil so all my makeup has a chance to breakdown. I love using the Japanese waterproof mascaras and those stay like concrete 😂. I then wet my hands and start massaging my face until all the oil turns milky. Rinse and pat dry. You can either follow up with a gentle second cleanser or just leave it. The beauty of this balm is that you don't feel like you are left with an oily film, this balm rinses completely clean. The packaging uses a snap up lid which makes it easy to travel with. I completely recommend this, you will love it. It comes in a easy to use tube. I apply it to my face. It melts into my skin all while removing makeup and dirt. The balm transforms into a milky texture that washes off easily. The Real Barrier Cleansing Oil Balm is a dirt buster. It melts away makeup which includes tough mascara. The best part is not smells like fresh cut lemons. My favorite smell. It’s invigorating. It’s gentle and doesn’t irritate. Washes away easy with no residue. Leaves skin soft and supple.

This cleansing balm comes packaged nicely in not only an easy to use squeeze tube, but also boxed so great for a stocking stuffer or small gift as well. It is safety sealed under the cap of the tube. It has a slight minty smell and is the consistency of a thick ointment however quickly melts into your skin as you apply it. I did find it better to clean my makeup prior and use this for a double cleanse. It does leave my skin clean and definitely feels hydrated. Not once did I have that tight dry feeling. A wash-off type cleansing oil balm that goes from oil to milk. It’s formulated with natural oils that create a moisturizing protective barrier over your skin and leaves your skin feeling like you used a moisturizing pack. At first glance the oil balm looks and feels like petroleum jelly but once you start rubbing it it’ll turn into gel-like texture. It turns into a milky-like texture once you emulsify it with water. There is a strong lavender/citrus scent but it doesn’t linger. Overall I do enjoy this cleanser and I like that it’s packaged in a sleek tube. I think the scent can be problematic for those who are scent sensitive though.

It has a slight hint of orange and mint (in my opinion), and it seems to have a delicate scrub mixed in with the cleansing oil balm. After rinsing my face, my eyes and cheeks are flushed for a few minutes, but it fades away. Once my face is dry, I have the softest skin ever and that’s before adding a moisturizer; plus, my face feels tight and is bright. I’ve been using this on my severely dry hands and the results have been amazing! This sweet smelling cleansing oil balm is in a easy to use tube which I prefer. The balm is of a thick consistency as it comes out of the tube and quickly melts as it’s blended in circular motions all over the face. I enjoyed watching the texture change from balm, to oil, to a watery milky like substance that easily washed off of my face. What was left was a natural glow to my face that felt really hydrated as well as a soft and smooth complexion. I think this would be perfect for all skin types and I highly recommend it for an anytime cleanser to wash away the day.

I received the real barrier cleansing oil balm in exchange for my honest review. As always the packaging for this (and all real barrier products) is simple and beautiful. The balm is thick and melts on the skin when applied. Add water and achieve a rich lather that cleans deep without stripping the skin or over drying. Skin is left hydrated and brings out your natural glow. Nice fresh scent that does not over power. For all skin types and use morning amd night. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I was chosen by @0.8l_usa and Real Barrier to use and test their Cleansing Oil Balm for free, in return they asked for an honest opinion and review. Starting with packaging it’s their signature white, torquiose and black colors. Minimal writing on a sleek, smooth and shiny plastic tube. The product itself reminds me of a very thick pertrolium jelly of an almost white translucent color. The INCI have an impressive list of oils like olive, jojoba, safflower, camomile, margoram and bergamot fruit oils. Also included is nourishing Shea butter, vitamin E and ceramides. All of these help repair and preserve the natural skin barrier as well as give skin a boost of hydration. This is the first balm to oil to milk cleanser I’ve used that wasn’t housed in a jar. I rather enjoy the sanitary nature of the packaging. This transitions seamlessly from each state to the next, balm to oil to milky cleanser. It nicely removes all makeup and sunscreen at the end of the day. I wouldn’t use this in the morning, but only as my first cleanse of the night. The only gripe I have is the scent. It smells almost antiseptic. Like household cleaning products. IDK it’s just not my cup of tea. Other than that I’m supremely confident I will finish the cleanser completely.

This is Atopalm's new Real Barrier Cleansing Oil Balm. I was lucky enough to win a free full size tube to review. If you've followed me for a while, you know I'm obsessed with this brand because of how great it is for sensitive acne prone skin. This cleanser removes makeup and impurities without stripping the skin and helps build the skin barrier at the same time. I love how gentle it is. I also like that it has the effect of a cleansing oil and the moisturization of a balm. I used this long enough to review and then gave it to my mom. She has a hard time finding cleansers that don't upset her skin and this is perfect for her. She says, "I loved this light weight oil to clean away the day.
