Klairs Mid Day Blue UV Shield. I was excited to try this as you all know my holy grail/favorite sunscreen ever (and I’ve tried a lot) is their Klairs Soft Airy UV Essence (a chemical sunscreen). This blue version is described as a physical, non-nano sunscreen that is fresh, calming, and light. It contains zinc oxide & titanium dioxide (UVB/UVA filters) & guaiazulene (skin soothing). The formula itself is quite lightweight, definitely more elegant than the other purely physical sunscreens I’ve tried that are super chalky and not smooth. This one does leave a slight white cast, but can be blended away if you work it in. However, because it is a physical sunscreen and is supposed to sit on top of your skin (instead of absorbing into skin), I just didn’t like how it felt sitting on top of my skin. I guess I don’t like things that feels like some sort of layer on top of my skin instead of sinking in. I much prefer chemical sunscreens as they are more cosmetically elegant and just disappear into the skin or act like a moisturizer (like my soft airy UV essence). Also there was quite a strong fragrance- smells sort of fresh & powdery, but it was a bit over powering for me. Although this didn’t work out for my preferences, I think Klairs makes such innovative sunscreens and this would be a great choice for people who already use physical sunscreens/ prefer physical sunscreens/are allergic to chemical sunscreens.

@dear_klairs gifted me their mid day blue UV shield. I have the original of this formula and I love it. I’ve always wanted to try their midnight blue calming series so I jumped on this. This formula is non greasy and comfortable to wear. I feel like it’s very calming on my angry skin, and It’s hydrating so no need to layer moisturizer with it which is nice for summer. Highly recommend this one!

☁️Klairs Mid Day Blue UV Shield☁️ I totally jumped at the opportunity to try this when @0.8l_singapore offered it because I used to adore the previous version. I was sad when it was removed but the reformulated product is 💕! I did notice some mixed reviews but the previous version did as well. This sunscreen worked a lot better for me compared to the other hyped about one by Klairs. This physical sunscreen is SPF50/PA++++ and promises to be hydrating, lightweight and gentle for all skin types. It contains guaiazulene which is found in their Midnight Calming range, and has a semi matte finish and a natural tone up effect. I’ve really enjoyed reaching for this on no makeup days because of the tone up effect. It also works well under makeup, and the semi matte finish looks really natural. I don’t even have to powder to set it. This doesn’t pill on me the way the previous formula did, nor does it bunch up along the creases of my eyes or smile lines. It’s calming and soothing, and spreads easily with its slightly oily gel like texture which dries down without drying my skin. While it is recommended for combination and oily skin, I’ve not felt that this dried my skin in any way, and it calms some of my irritation when my skin is cranky in the AM. I’m glad to have this back in my rotation and it’s so affordable so I can totally see myself repurchasing it!

It gives a slight dewy finish which my dull skin appreciates but there is slight (emphasizing slight) whitecast. It doesn't interfere with layering of makeup. Since I have not been out in the sun for a long period of time it's uncertain how well this sunscreen work but I will keep you guys updated. . The best sunscreen is the one you will use... Don't you agree? Before my discovery of Asian sunscreen I hated how suffocating it felt. I prefer a chemical sunscreen, but I have also fallen in love with well formulated physical sunscreens as well. I will share why I love a good physical SPF in a moment. This @klairs.global Mid Day Blue UV Shield* is another one that I am happy to add to my arsenal. It's SPF 50+ PA++++. I've been reaching for it every day since I received it. This of course uses zinc and titanium dioxide. I love that it also has guaiazulene for that pretty blue tint. Fragrance is also listed as the last ingredient, but I don't take issue with that. I apply mutiple layers in my skincare routine. I love dewy skin but in humid, southern weather your face can just melt off anything that you apply in no time at all. What I love about this (and most physical sunscreens) is that it dries down without looking dry and cakey. In other words my face feels dry, but without the look or feeling of drying your skin. This feels pretty thick when you first start applying, but I have had zero issues with absorption. It doesn't leave a white cast on me, but I could see if your skin is darker that it might just as most physical sunscreens would do if you use the proper amount. My measuring stick for how well a sunscreen works is if it can survive a full day of four wheeling in the mountains. This product from Klairs did just that. After almost a full 12 hours of being outdoors, I found that my skin hadn’t burned. It’s hard to tell because UVA/UVB damage isn’t immediately apparent, but after several days of use I really feel my skin was protected from these harmful rays. It was easy to add makeup on top of this product, and it created a mostly matte base. I really liked the soft scent and how easily it absorbed into my skin. Overall, I really enjoyed this sun shield and plan on purchasing more in the future.

It claims to be lightweight, hypoallergenic, and soothing without leaving a white cast. The cream is a pale baby blue and has a faint floral scent. Key ingredients are Zinc Oxide, Titanium Dioxide, and Guaiazulene; swipe for the complete list. I’ve used this for the past week or so and it’s pretty nice so far. It takes some of the redness out of my skin and absorbs quickly with no tack after. It dries to a satin smooth finish. Blue products are always a weakness of mine. Altho I also feel like blue is a pretty popular color overall. So anyway, got my grubby little paws on the new @dear_klairs midday blue UV shield sunscreen from an @0.8l_usa try now. It's spf 50 PA++++, vegan and a mineral (metal oxide) formula so while it won't make your eyeballs burn, it will give you a white cast, especially if you have a deeper skin tone. It won't be like clown makeup, but it will most likely be noticeable. I do love the color of it, and that they included guaiazulene, but it wasn't as plant enriched as I thought it would be. It does have a scent, which I can only describe as jawbreakers and hot fruit.🤔 It's an interesting one. Say it to with me, “I will wear sunscreen.” I am the worst with wearing sunscreen, because I’m usually indoors all the time. What I need to remember is I need it even when walking to the train, etc. I was excited to snag this Klairs sunscreen on 0.8L. The sunscreen itself is actually blue, which was pretty cool and faded away pretty fast. This was thicker but did apply well and sinks nicely into skin. There wasn’t too much of a white cast and this didn’t irritate my skin. However, I am pretty pale so I could see this leaving a bit of a cast on darker skin tones. The one downside is that I did notice some piling with this when using it with makeup so it’s better to go with minimal to no makeup. The finish is matte which is nice. The SPF on this is 50 which is pretty high and provides great protection for the face. This does not include any chemical sunscreen ingredients. I did like that this wasn’t oily or greasy. It smells like summer outside tonight. I love it when it’s like that. While we’re on that note, everyone’s favorite brand @klairs gifted me their Mid day Blue UV Shield. . This physical sunscreen is hydrating, lightweight and non-irritating. It has an SPF if 50/PA++++ and contains zinc oxide and titanium dioxide to protect against UVA/UVB rays. It also has guaiazulene in it to help calm the skin. It has a natural tone-up effect after application with a semi-matte finish and is perfect for combination and oily skin. . This one has zero sunscreen smell. It does have a very light and quite pleasant added fragrance. It is a very pale blue from the ingredients, which I assume helps with the tone-up process and helps to cancel out redness. I’m really pale and didn’t notice any white cast. It definitely smooths out my skin and I can feel the hydration. It works great with makeup and is like a primer. It’s totally non-greasy and has a matte finish. I read through some of the reviews on Wishtrend and I just don’t get the comments about it having a strong smell and a white cast. I found neither of those to be true, but everyone’s skin is different, so perhaps it didn’t work as well for them. There are a lot of great reviews too and I myself love it. I try to be good about applying sunscreen every day, even if I’m not going outside, and one I’ve really been enjoying recently is the @klairs.global Mid Day Blue UV Shield! This is a lightweight physical sunscreen for all skin types, even sensitive, but is especially recommended for combination or oily skin. It has SPF50+ PA++++ and a semi-matte finish. As someone with combo skin, this has worked out really well for me! It has a blue tint that fades away fairly quickly, and I really like the semi-matte finish. I’m left feeling moisturized but without looking oily, which is the best of both worlds for me. I have very pale skin, so I haven’t had an issue with white cast from this, although I’m not positive if that would be the case for darker skin tones. It takes slightly longer to dry down than some of my chemical sunscreens, but not long enough to be an annoyance. Overall, I quite like this one! So, if you possess more melanin than most, you’ll be ok using either sunscreen option from Klairs. This sunscreen is a perfect base for primer/makeup application. You don’t have to worry about it looking patchy, or creating skincare boogers when applying something on top of it. Being fully honest, I don’t have sensitive skin in the least bit. Very nice UV day face lotion! first I used it on my face after cleaning, but my skin after that felt dry.So I applied like this :1.cleaning2 toner3 face cream4 Klairs mid day Blue UV shield.And it felt better on my skin!!I love the smell of this lotion!! Great for protecting my skin!!

Summertime is here, so that means it's time to look into some more sunscreens! Currently, I'm trying out the Klairs Mid Day Blue UV Shield SPF50 sunscreen, which helps to relieve skin and leave it soft and refreshed. The lightweight vegan formulation contains guaiazulene, which is great for calming the skin and it actually makes the color of this cream a light powder blue! The formulation includes no chemical sunscreen ingredients, simply zinc oxide and titanium dioxide. The Klairs Mid Day Blue UV Shield sunscreen brightens my face with minimal skin tone change at the initial application, but it fades. Covering this sunscreen with foundation isn't entirely necessary gor my darker skin, and I actually feel comfortable going out of the house barefaced without the fear of looking ghostly, ashy or oddly red toned. I really like that the Klairs sunscreen is so emollient and easy to apply. I prefer to apply it to my face in sections to make sure I'm getting goid coverage. The finish is just right! It dries down to a demi matte finish that is moisturizing without feeling greasy, yet dry without feeling powdery. This sunscreen helps to set my dewy skincare routine in place, lightly blur my pores, and provide a bit of oil control. The fragrance of this sunscreen is like a powdery, floral scent that's a bit difficult to describe. Perhaps it's chrysanthemum perfume done right! The sweet and springy fragrance seemed to linger on my first try but now I don't even notice it. So far I'm experiencing irritation, but keep that in mind if you have any sensitivities.

The cult following of Soft Airy Essence is huge but there's people out there that cannot tolerate chemical (organic) sunscreens. This suncreen uses zinc oxide and titanium dioxide which are some of the most common physical suncreens. However, as a POC I prefer chemical sunscreen since it leaves no white cast. This suncreen has a blue hue that shows up on my skin and has a rating of SPF50+ PA++++. This rating refers to the UVA and UVB protection of this sunscreen and this is pretty good. I can get the white cast to go away after working it into my skin, but I do feel that if you're darker than I am it might be an issue. One thing I love about this sunscreen is that it dries matte. As someone that lives in a hot and humid climate this is a godsend. I add a good amount and make sure it's fully spread and wait about 10 minutes. My skin looks matte without feeling dry. Since it dries matte, this sunscreen is great for oily and combo skin types. If you have dry skin I do not recommend and would be best served by using the Airy Soft Essence instead. A word of caution, this sunscreen can pill on you. I make sure to use a minimum skincare routine in order to prevent this. So far I'm really loving this sunscreen. It does take a bit more work to get it to sink in but once it does I'm happy. I'm hoping that Klairs makes a matte chemical sunscreen at some point for those of us who prefer no white cast, can tolerate chemical sunscreens and POC.
