Neogen - Dermalogy Extra Volume Curl Metal Mascara (Brown) 🇺🇸I've never seen a cool brush like this before. It makes it very easy to dispense the product. It's a real long-lasting mask. It took me a while to remove it. ✨ Neogen Extra VolumeCurl Metal Maxicara ✨ I haven't been very ~adventurous~ with mascaras in the past because I have one that I absolutely love and makes my huge eyelashes even MORE huge. But when I saw this metal mascara wand from Neogen, I thought it would be really cool to give it a try! The metal wand is just a skinny metal rod all the way down, with little ridges at the end where the mascara coats it. I actually like that the handle is long and that the barrel of mascara is small, but just big enough for the applicator part of the wand. That seems a LOT less wasteful of product since it's not covering the wand the whole way down. Plus you won't get mascara on your nose if you bump it then! 😁 Honestly, I didn't think this mascara was going to apply well or coat my lashes at all. I thought it was going to take a lot more effort to coat my lashes. But it stopped very easily and it looks so good! Even after a few weeks of use, the product hasn't gotten clumpy. After 8+ good of wear, it doesn't transfer or get flaky. There's a luxury makeup brand out there that created mascara with a wand like this a few years ago, but theirs is about $150!!! 😱 I don't care how good it is, I can't justify that. This mascara from Neogen is $25-30 depending on where you buy it. To me, it performs like a $25-30 mascara! (That's a bit more reasonable, but still more than my $7 favorite.) This was definitely a very interesting and innovative product so I definitely jumped in to try it out! I love that is different in all the possible ways, from the packaging, to the applicator. But I have a love hate relationship with this product, due to the fact that I am not a fan of brown mascara, it doesn’t really help my eyes stand out. I also didn’t like that the formula won’t come off even after double cleansing I had mascara that was sticky in texture the next day. I did notice that it lengthen my lashes, but it didn’t hold my curl at all. I would still love to try out the black shade and see if this would change my perspective. I have seen so many amazing reviews on this product, but this particular shade is definitely not for me.

This is a first for me, trying a metal mascara! 👀 Claims & Info 👀 An innovative, No-Brush Metal Mascara that coats every single eyelash. 👀 Lightweight formula that provides extra volume. 👀 Long lasting and waterproof. 👀 Washable, hygienic metal mascara wand. 🤎 My Opinion 🤎 I definitely love the concept. So different, more hygienic. I'm not a big brown mascara fan, however, I loved the natural look it gave. 🤗 The formula is definitely water/budge proof. The wand does coat my lashes, however, I feel like I get more control and volume with a traditional style mascara wand. 😩 Overall, I wouldn't purchase this. I was really interested in this mascara, the design is really cool and high quality for sure but I thought it performed just OK. My opinion: It feels heavy on the lashes and in order to get my lashes looking good with it on I had to use a spoolie brush and an eyelash curler- it was just more work to apply and took longer than I'd like. In person, it doesn't look like I even had much mascara on so I was surprised that it photographed so well. It was a little tough to get it all off my lashes too. It did have a long wear time though, no flakes, no mess. Overall. I have plenty of other mascaras that perform better and give my lashes a better look. I don't see myself reaching for this honestly.

This is a new experience for me to try a mascara wand without any bristle in it. The bristle is all metal. Does it apply smoothly no. It dries super fast if you are a slow makeup girl it will your stick your lashes together and make it look somewhat clumpy, you will need extra Lash comb to fix it fast. The only one thing I liked about this mascara was it is waterproof as it claims but it is super hard to wash this mascara off. My eyelids were literally hurting as if somebody was holding it. Will I buy it again yes it they fix something with the formula and provide bristle brush applicator for smooth finish. Does it give a noticeable volume and curl, no to the curl volume just a little.. I think the major culprit here is wand. @neogen change the wand, it is fun for sometime but not if you are a regular buyer.

The wand stays clean and makes applying mascara easy with no clumps. The mascara wears well throughout the day and it does not smudge at all. This unique wand makes it so easy to apply the mascara on each lash, even on those usually hard to reach places like the corner of my eyes. It is very precise and it is easy to apply an even smooth layer on my lashes. This mascara makes my lashes longer, fuller and more defined. It gives the right amount of volume and separation but still looks natural. I love the warm dark brown shade that matches the dark brown color of my eyes perfectly. The mascara is long-lasting and waterproof but it is very easy to remove it without any harsh rubbing. To remove the mascara I use facial wipes and it comes off easily. I highly recommend this mascara!

I really liked the metal applicator, it’s super easy to use and coats the lashes perfectly. I didn’t like the brown color that much but I would definitely get one in black. My favorite part is that the brush is washable, how cool is that! I always dislike how regular brushes are all clumpy and full of old mascara.

Another unique thing about this wand is that it is washable, after each use you can wash it and have clump free application each time. I liked the concept, it does lengthens the lashes, but I could not get the volume I needed. But still I love the way it makes application so easy and every lash stands out which is really amazing.

This is the first time I've seen a metal applicator mascara, which is to me it's something new and innovative, I really love the idea. This mascara works great to volumize my thin lashes, but somehow I didn't really notice the curling effect for my lashes, which is this product stated that "it can gives an extra volume and curl". Well, this mascara has an amazing staying power and waterproof, I need an extra time to get rid the product from my lashes, so it's really good for those who loves the mascara that stays on all day without re-apply their mascaras. Well, actually after a few coats of applying this mascara, I can tell that my lashes look clumpy and a lil flaky, which these are the down side from me, but well, I still like this mascara, since it has the brownish colour that compliments my brown eyes.

I was super excited to try this mascara since I honestly have never tried a mascara like this. I’ve also not tried a mascara in the color brown before since I normally go for one in black or blackest black. Swipe for before/after. It was easy to apply. This mascara lengthens and curls my lashes a bit. The brown mascara does give a more soft and natural look. Overall, it was a fun and new experience!

This mascara instantly intrigued me! The wand is metal and so different than anything else I’ve used. I love that it stays cleaner and more hygienic than bristled mascara wands, and I was blown away by how effective it was in lengthening and curling my lashes. I have sensitive eyes, and this was a gentle formula that didn’t cause any watering or irritation. The only thing I would change is I would prefer the black version rather than the brown, I didn’t feel like the brown was dark enough for my lashes—but this shade would be absolutely perfect for natural redheads. This mascara has incredible lasting power and even resisted micellar water when I was removing it—an oil based balm finally did the trick to get it to budge but it was a battle! I would feel totally confident wearing this out hiking or to the gym.
