The best way I can describe it is that it's fish jerky. The main difference between any other type of jerky and fish jerky is the texture. That unique crispness sets it apart. Korean dried pollack can be eaten straight from the packet. It can be reconstituted in water or other fluids. I used broth from my soup. As you can see, the process is quick. It reabsorbs and retains moisture easily. My daughter's favorite way of eating dried pollack is searing it with soy sauce, green onion, garlic, lemon, and sesame seeds. We serve it over rice when she caramelizes it. We love that this is a shelf stable product with a resealable pouch.

It has been years since I did not have dried fish, this one is flavourful, I made a delicious noodle soup following the easy instructions. This fried pollac can be eaten as soup, grilled and as a snack, which is a good and healthier alternative than potato chips because it contains no carbs and it has been dried through a natural process.

If you are a Kdrama lover 🙋‍♀️, you would have seen oppas eating this dried pollock fish with either soju or beer while crying over their love interest 💔🥹!!! This momma can finally have my first taste of it!!! It is slightly crispy but has a very chewy texture. It was surprisingly not salty n not very fishy either. Mild tasting! No oppas n no soju/beer so I used it to make 2 different dishes instead (#KarMieCooks)… 1) Dried shredded pollock seasoned with gochujang “Bugeopo gochujang-muchim 북어포 고추장무침” 2) seaweed soup (using pollock as a soup base). I added egg to it for extra dose of protein 💪🥚 See video on how easy it is to make both dishes! 🐟The Korean Dried Pollock is high protein and low fat that is great for breakfast, snack, hangover or just wanting a warm meal. 🌱The funky seaweed contains 6 diff types of seaweeds! I am a huge fan of soups so I wanted to make 북엇국 [bugeot guk] which is Dried Pollack Soup It’s a clear fish soup made with dried pollack. The dried flesh is shredded and sautéed in sesame oil before water is added. A beaten egg is sometimes dropped into the boiling soup. Reputed to be the best cure for hangovers, as it helps the body detoxify alcohol. This recipe seemed very easy to make so I decided to give it a try. The soup turned out great and tasted just as I expected it to. This bag of pollack has about enough pieces in it to make this soup about 3 or 4 times making this a great value for this size bag. The dried pills I had a very strong fish smell so you definitely want to double bag this after it is opened. This product is a great quality and had a wonderful flavor. I would buy this again and use it for other dishes as well.

I have never made pollack soup but it was pretty simple to make. The dried pollack was fresh when I opened it and had a fishy smell. The package has plenty to make a few dishes as you don't need that much to make the soup. This soups is perfect for when you have a hangover or a sick. This soups isn't something that I'll make on a regular basis as I'm the only one in my household who likes it. But it's a good some to have probably when eating out rather than for me to make it at home.

I made a soup with it. It’s super easy to make. Just add a handful of the dried pollock into a pot of water. Cover and cook for about 15 minutes, then add egg, green onions, salt, etc. Cover and cook until the egg is cooked. Serve with rice, kimchi, and other side dishes. It tastes great!
