I love this Brightening Peeling Gel by @myskinmentor.drg! This is similar to Boscia's Peeling Gel (is much cheaper) but works better because it does not bond with the peach fuzz on your face. You apply this to your face and rub in circular motions for 1-2 minutes. You can actually see and feel the dead skin that is removed, it rinses easily, and leaves skin soft, smooth, toned, and brightened! 💡The Dr. G Brightening Peeling Gel (that I received at a discounted rate from @0.8l_usa) is a gentle peeling exfoliator aimed at moisturizing and brightening the skin with natural cellulose and vitamins C and E. Other ingredients include mushroom, aloe, honey, licorice root, and willow bark extracts 🙌 I wanted to try it because it has stellar reviews online! 😝 It smells a bit medicinal to me but it's not unpleasant. You apply it onto damp skin and massage to see your dead skin cells slough off along with traces of product. . 💡I was able to use this for 3 times in a week, and I'm happy to report that each time my skin was left softer, smoother and a bit brighter too! I noticed that I needed my skin to not be too wet or else there wouldn't be much of a peeling effect. It wasn't drying on my skin but not moisturizing either as claimed. . ⭐ 4/5 ⭐: I'd need to use this more but as a first impression, I think this product is pretty good! I can't say I'm amazed by it but it does the job as a gentle peeling gel to help smooth skin texture and brighten the skin a bit 😊

Product review: Dr. G brightening peeling gel. . This is my first physical exfoliator of the kind, previously have relied on my clarisonic! This is an interesting experience for sure. Instructions say to apply on wet skin. I applied a dime-sized amount for each side of my face and rub gently until the product balls up. It takes longer to achieve this the more wet my face is to start. Swipe to see pics of application. . . I would say it is a gentle exfoliation and my face does feel smoother afterwards. still skeptical of how well it removes dead skin cells. It is a good product to use on my acids days instead of clarisonic (which use almost daily). . This product has certainly piqued my interest in this kind of exfoliation! I would recommend this to someone new to physical exfoliation or who cannot tolerate more harsh ones!

Love this product. My skin type is combination. I am weary when trying anything on my face because I am very sensitive and always end up with irritated skin. I used this at night after I showered and I washed my face then only used a quarter size if the product and gently applied it to the skin in circular motion. Once you rub the product you feel the dead skin cells clump and then you wash away. The results are fresh clean face, smaller pores, dead skin gone, skin more radiant and no irritation. What else can you ask for. I got this at a discounted price from @0.8L for my honest review.

I have to say this product surprised me a lot. I used as a mild exfoliator and brighter. I usually have combo skin, oily on my t-zone but during winter is super dry. I do use scrubs but with my skin so dry I avoid them. This one is soft, meaning is used on wet skin to help exfoliate. Didn't have a strong smell, easy to use since you scrub and it starts creating some little white puffs. Is kind of fun to use and after scrubbing for a minute and rinsing my face felt amazingly soft and no dryness at all. Really impressed with this product and will repurchase in a heart beat!

I have dry skin. I need exfoliation badly. The problem is my skin is sensitive to most manual exfoliants. peeling gels help this problem but often times they get stuck to the little baby hairs on the side of my face. This one doesn't. It works very gently, and effectively. The smell is strange, but this leaves my skin so smooth and soft in just a couple minutes of gentle massage. This one is a win.

Thanks for joining me for my fourth 0.8L review.  0.8L is really neat because you can try products for free or for a discount, as long as you provide a review.  With that being said, I did purchase this prat a discount in exchange for a review, but all reviews are my own and 100% honest. This gel korean skincare product from the brand My Skin Mentor Dr. G.  My friend actually recommended that I try this product, so when I saw it on 08Liter, I just HAD to have one.  The tube contains 120 mL of product, so not quite travel friendly, but definitely a good amount that'll probably last you a while. The texture reminds me not so much of a gel, but more like a milky lotion.  It's slightly thicker than an actual gel, but not quite as thick as a cream. According to Soko Glam, the gel claims to exfoliate the skin and remove dead skin cells (https://sokoglam.com/products/dr-g-brightening-peeling-gel).  The ingredient list contains honey which I personally love because honey is antimicrobial, and for me it's really soothing and calming.  Plus honey really makes my skin soft, which was evident with this gel.  I used this gel on my nose, and probably used a penny-sized dollop, and WOW OH WOW SO MANY DEAD SKIN CELLS!  Seriously, a little bit of this product goes a long way.  But the best part is, MY NOSE WAS SO SMOOTH AND SOFT AFTERWARDS! Seriously, I don't associate my nose as being "soft".  Usually I think of cheeks as being soft.  But my nose was SO SOFT and literally I could not stop touching it all day (I know I know, excessive touching of the skin is not good for the skin).  But I just couldn't resist because the peeling gel really made my skin so soft and smooth, and not dry!  And so far, no problems with eczema and sensitive skin.  Yay! WAY TO GO DR. G! Seriously, you are my hero.  I honestly thought this product was overhyped, but when my friend convinced me to get one, my mind was seriously changed.  This stuff is magical, and I love love love it! Definitely would give this a 5/5, and MOST DEFINITELY would continue using and even repurchase!

This product works wonders. It didnt irritate my skin at all and removed dry facial skin. Immediately after using it, my skin feels incredibly clean, fresh, smooth, and bright. I highly recommend this product.

First things first I love acids, they have always been my choice of exfoliation. I have used a Konjac sponge which just kept my skin so soft but is gentle at the same time. I use my aha in the am and currently my curology at night which is aimed towards acne, and I use this at night! This stuff is awesome at getting the dead skin off and I know that's what I was doing because it balled up on my nose, cheeks, outer perimeter but didn't on my chin and forehead! @drgkorea Brightening Peeling Gel After reading raving reviews of this peeling, I knew I wanted to try it so I certainly jumped at the opportunity when it was available on 0.8. This is a gommage type of peeling gel that feels really good on the skin and provides a nice experience of removing dead skin cells and gunk. It’s gentle but very effective. It contains ingredients such as mushroom extract, althea rosea, aloe, japonica and honey. It has the formula of a creamy gel with small grains that dissipate when the product is used on the skin. It has a rather strong scent that is very hard to place but it dissipates after some time. A small amount goes a long way and the gel glides easily onto the skin. After application, it feels a little bit cooling and doesn't cause any irritation. The gel provides a nice level of hydration to the skin. The skin looks thoroughly cleansed and refreshed after use. There is a nice brightening effect as well. Afterwards, skin seems to be very soft and smooth. Overall, one of the best peelings I’ve used. It provides nice effects without any irritation. This gel cleanses and brightens visibly while keeping skin hydrated.

I’ve been reintroducing tretinoin into my routine, so my face is crazy sensitive/fragile right now. This means that you’re either going to think I’m the perfect candidate to review this, or the worst. It’s great because this claims to be mild and suitable for sensitive skin, but it’s still a peel and highly likely to irritate my princess tret face. This gel is meant to be applied to be massaged onto a wet, freshly cleansed face. As you rub, the cellulose in the gel reacts with the oil on your face and ‘balls up’. Then the newly formed ‘balls’ (lol) gently exfoliate the skin. It also claims to soothe and hydrate because it has trehalose (hydration, moisture binding), mushroom extract (soothing), allantoin (soothing), licorice extract (brightening), and honey (antibacterial, soothing, moisturizing). I love all of these ingredients; however, I am unimpressed with the amount present. Licorice root is the 11th ingredient, allantoin is 19th and honey is dead last at 25th. Essentially, these are barely trace amounts and most likely have no effect on the product. In addition, I have very little faith in the efficacy of soothing/hydrating/moisturizing ingredients in something that only spends ~1 minute on my face. Right off the bat, this didn’t work when used as instructed. I used a dime-sized amount, and it came out as a cloudy gel. It also REAKED of tea tree oil, so I guess that’s the added mystery fragrance. I applied it to my damp, clean face and NO BALLING UP :’(. After I rinsed and thoroughly dried my face, I tried again, and the product did ball up right away. My skin burned a little as I rubbed it in, and when I rinsed it off my face was slightly pink. I did notice that my face felt smoother, and it was nowhere near as uncomfortable as I expected. There were no long term negative effects either, which was another pleasant surprise. Overall, I am irritated by the gimmick, but the product worked well for my needs. I was able to enjoy a gentle physical exfoliation, even when my skin was a little cranky. I think many of the ingredients are superfluous and honestly deceptive, but I will finish this and repurchase if I can find it for less than ~$15.

Starting off 2018 with a first impressions review of my first peeling gel: DrG Brightening Peeling Gel! After I started using chemical exfoliators, I avoided using physical exfoliators for a long time due to fear of irritation. ⠀⠀ As I've gotten to know my skin better, I've started reintroducing some gentle physical exfoliators such as the Skinfood Rice Mask, and regularly using a konjac sponge or my Foreo Luna. ⠀⠀ I truly think this product fits in well with my preference for gentle exfoliators. This product is very popular, and I've been wanting to try it since seeing @pdxbeautiful's review. ⠀ This peeling gel like most is formulated with cellulose which helps gently remove dead skin. It also includes licorice root extract and ascorbyl glucoside (a vitamin C derivative) to help brighten while exfoliating. I haven't personally seen any brightening yet, but it's possible I might see some after regular use. ⠀⠀ The texture of this product initially is a lotion type texture with some barely noticeable fine grit. The scent of this product is lightly herbal and almost tea tree like, although there's no tea tree in the ingredients list. FYI there is added fragrance for those who like to avoid it. ⠀⠀ The instructions say to use this product on damp skin after cleansing. After you start massaging it into the skin, the cellulose helps the product start to pill and takes some dead skin with it. ⠀⠀ My skin does feel smoother after using this, especially on days following chemical exfoliation when my skin needs a little nudge to let go of the dead skin. So far I haven't experienced any drying feeling either unlike the Bonajour Rice Pack. ⠀⠀ I'll definitely update with my thoughts after a few months of usage! I recommend this for people who want to add a very gentle physical exfoliator to their routine.

As someone with sensitive skin, I’m not the biggest fan of physical exfoliators as they often tend to be too rough. I always have a bottle of this & I use it every single day as it does not break out my skin, which is oily/acne prone on my chin! I love this product & definitely recommend this to other people! it is mild enough to use every single day!
