I tend to prefer pump moisturizers as they ate just more convenient for me to use. The cream itself is extremely thick it is almost like a very thick Greek yogurt. It has a very very light herbal scent nothing crazy and some may not even notice the scent at all. It is something along the lines of green tea or aloe vera. For the cream being so thick, it is also very light weight at the same time. It does not feel heavy or greasy on the skin at all! It melts into your skin like silky butter and absorbs very fast. It left my skin feeling hydrated and plump so much so that I skipped my makeup primer because I was scared I may be a little too moisturize and it would end up making me greasy. If you have super oily skin I don't think this would be the right product for you at all because it is so thick and may make your oily skin worse. I have combo skin so I don't think I will be using this everyday. I wish I would have gotten this several months ago when it was Winter and my skin is typically more dry than it is once it starts warming up. If you are someone with super dry skin, I think this would be absolutely perfect ! it checks all the boxes. I typically have dry skin but a somewhat oily t-zone. The Real Barrier Extreme Creams thick buttery texture gives my face a sort of mattifying look but with an under glow if that makes sense. It's like it reduces the oil in my oily t zone yet gives my dry and normal areas a glow. At first it seems sort of heavyweight and sticky but I think that's from my Serum because I do apply serum and let it absorb right before applying the Barrier Cream. I noticed once when I waited an hour after using serum, the mattifying effect wasn't the same as applying the cream directly after. It makes my skin feel smooth and hydrated and I can still apply makeup with it so it's definitely a 5 star product for me.

When purchasing this product I really like how the packaging is very nice and Sleek when opening the package there is a spatula to help with not cross contaminating the cream, this is a thick like butter cream which is nice, it does have a sort of medical smell to it but it's a very light smell which is not bothering to me and when putting on skin a little bit goes a long ways and it soaks into skin very nicely does not leave a oily or greasy feeling so far first impression loving it
