I have to say I'm in love with this. The scent of sandalwood is so soothing and hypnotic, so to find it in a perfume, I had to buy it. Many people associate sandalwood with certain places, and India is one of them. The following scents are: sweet cardamom, spicy cumin, soft clary sage, dewy rose, and soothing chamomile danced with deep cypress, clean musk, warm amber, and Mysore sandalwood notes. Some of these scents I associate with cooking but when combined with these others, it makes a very impressionable smell that lingers when worn. I noticed my whole office had this refreshing smell when I came back to it and others noticed too.

Let it be known that I have an obsession with perfume. So whenever I see these Harvey Prince fragrances pop up for review I always jump on them. If you aren’t familiar with Harvey Prince, they are an American based company that aims to provide organic, eco friendly and cruelty free fragrances and body products. In this review I will be reviewing 2 scents: D’Amore and Mysore Sandalwood. The website describes D’Amore as “Notes of fresh Italian bergamot, sensual Cypress oil, and sweet pink grapefruit softly drifted into the balmy Venetian air. Lush lily, dewy jasmine, elegant cyclamen, and deep blond woods danced with warm vanilla, earthy patchouli, smoky vetiver, spicy tonka bean, soothing sandalwood, and clean musk as D’Amore gently unfolded its many fragrant layers.” The scent was definitely on the warmer side with the notes of vanilla and sandalwood, but I found it to be nicely balanced with the floral notes. Mysore sandalwood is described as “the scent of sweet cardamom, spicy cumin, soft clary sage, dewy rose, and soothing chamomile danced with deep cypress, clean musk, warm amber, and Mysore sandalwood notes.” I was pleasantly surprised by this scent mostly because i was expecting it to have a deep earthy tone but I found it to be light and nicely calming. Of the two, I loved this one more.

Harvey Prince Organics Sandalwood Perfume Review.... Website States.... scent of sweet cardamom, spicy cumin, soft clary sage, dewy rose, and soothing chamomile danced with deep cypress, clean musk, warm amber, and Mysore sandalwood notes. My Review: This Sandalwood perfume definitely reminded me of Middle Eastern Fragrances; I could smell the musk, cardamom, cumin & sandalwood...I stated this before, woodsy scents are really my thing but I gave it a try, wore it for 3 days and it wasn’t to bad, I wouldn’t give up my regular favorites for this product but it didn’t turn me off so for that I would say if you’re into the woodsy mixed fragrances than this one isn’t half bad at all...

I love the scent of this Sandalwood perfume. The smell lingers for several hours after wearing to fade into more of a citrus type scent. The perfume isn't overpowering but you don't have to use more than a couple spritzes to smell lovely.

(*Hint: Think of 2 Ivy League schools in the USA) 😉 🌿The Sandalwood scent began on a bright note to me, almost a little sweet, but it quickly develops into a musky & woodsy type scent. 🌿I enjoy patchouli scents, especially as in different parts of my home. And there was something about this particular formula that reminded me slightly of patchouli. 🌿The musky woodsy scent was a little too much for me to wear - at least on a daily basis, but I have really enjoyed lightly spraying my meditation 🧘🏼‍♀️ room with this, as well as spraying down some of my candles before lighting them. (*If you do this, please be sure to let the perfume fully dry before lighting.) 🙏🏼

I’m a little disappointed in this perfume to be honest! It’s fully my fault though, the scent just hasn’t grown on me yet. The bottle is nice and heavy glass, and the spray comes out fine and it has a nice mist. The fragrance just doesn’t seem to be my cup of tea. I’m going to keep wearing it to see if I end up liking it though!

Another Harvey Prince perfume review - this time it's Mysore Sandalwood. Sandalwood is a really nostalgic scent for me because my mom wore a sandalwood perfume a lot when I was a kid. ⠀ I'm so glad to say that this perfume doesn't give me instant headaches (unlike the Kashmiri Saffron). The notes according to the website are "sweet cardamom, spicy cumin, soft clary sage, dewy rose, and soothing chamomile danced with deep cypress, clean musk, warm amber, and Mysore sandalwood." ⠀ To my nose, the scent starts off more cologne/unisex fragrance smelling but then quickly settles into more of a soft and fresh scent. It's definitely not pure sandalwood. I love how subtle it is, because sometimes you don't want to wear something overwhelming. ⠀ This fragrance doesn't last very long on me however - it fades within a couple hours. My skin just happens to eat the scent up! 😅 ⠀ I've actually been wearing this a lot since I got it a couple of weeks ago, and I'd say that says it all! I generally rarely stray from my favorite Elizabeth & James Nirvana White. ⠀ I really enjoy that this perfume is really unique for my (admittedly small) perfume collection, and I don't hesitate to recommend it. ⠀ Also FYI, Harvey Prince is a "100% gluten free, vegan, and cruelty free" brand.

Harvey Prince Mysore Sandalwood Perfume A very citrus musky scent that's a blend of amazing scents from India.. my native land . The fragrance is very concrete so just a spray is enough to spread its fragrance around . It has a sweet citrusy slightly musky scent with added mild sandalwood scent making the scent very attractive .

I always think of reviewing perfume as some kind of an interesting challenge, since our sense of smell is tied closely to the part of the brain that is responsible for emotional memories. Because of this, when we pick out a perfume to wear, it’s like choosing which emotions we want to evoke with that scent. The scent in this Mysore Sandalwood is more to the woody and musky side, but it's not over powering. I usually wear this kind of scent when I feel brave or doesn't feel like being sweet & feminine. The scent last pretty well for me, more than 6 hours I think. And doesnt irritate the skin when I sprayed it to the "pulse area". Recommend this for vegan & cruelty free cosmetic users or those who like musky & woody scents or don't want something super sweet/floral.

I loved this scent because it was soft and woodsy and lasted all day long. I love a perfume that I don't have to reapply during the day and this is the one, plus it is organic and natural so no harsh chemicals on my skin or clothing. I am very pleased with the scent and how it lingers and fades just enough to be subtle without completely disappearing and the bottle is so clean and simple. This has been a great addition to my perfume collection.

I really wanted to like this @Harveyprince Mysore Sandalwood perfume that I received from @0.8l_usa, but it just isn’t for me. 🌼 I like that it’s gluten free, vegan, and cruelty, however, the scent is too overwhelming for me. 🌼 The cumin, sage, cardamom, rose, chamomile, and cypress notes are a weird combo for me. 🌼 I’m so disappointed because this perfume actually had a long-lasting staying power that my current perfume doesn’t have. 🌼 I’ll have to give this 2/5 stars.

[REVIEW:] Harvey Prince Mysore Sandlewood Eau de Parfum Aaaaah!! What a lovely scent!! I was drawn to this perfume by its exotic sounding name - "Mysore." Before an injury that permanently sidelined me, I used to practice a form of yoga called Ashtanga and Mysore, a city in India, is the ancestral home of the practice. Practitioners from all over the world make an annual pilgrimage to the Ashtanga yoga shala there to study with the family. It had always been a dream to go someday and practice but my injury laid those dreams to rest. So the name will always have a mysterious allure to me - foreign, exotic, magical. This time "Mysore" draws me into a light, spicy, woodsy aroma. I really love it. At first I thought this would be very heavy and spicy like YSL's Opium but the notes are surprisingly light almost grassy. It makes a wonderful scent for daytime and wears for hours. In particular, I love how the sandalwood aroma gently lingers on. When I'm wearing it, I like to think in some ways I'm taking that trip to Mysore that I always dreamed of. I'm so happy to add this new scent to my fragrance collection. For me, its a vacation in a bottle. Additionally Harvey Prince Organics are 100% natural so there's no fear of harmful phthalates or chemicals when I'm on that imaginary trip.

Harvey Prince Organics Mysore Sandalwood has scents of sweet cardamom, spicy cumin, soft clary sage, dewy rose, chamomile, deep cypress, clean musk, warm amber and my sore sandalwood notes. This style of perfume is supposed to be alluring, mystical and serene. I have tried a different kind of Harvey Prince perfumes and each one has a different scent with a different feeling. I tried spraying this in the air for the first time. I smelled like cumin and sage. It was very strong and unusual scent for me. I can say that I never smell something like this at all. I tried spraying on my wrist and it was the strangest scent. I can say it smelled like plastic on my skin. I really didn't like this scent at all so I had to wash it off. Even though, I might not like this scent. I do like other Harvey prince perfumes. I'm glad they have so many different scents for everybody. If you do like the scent ingredients included above. You should try it and maybe you'll like it. Unfortunately, this was a miss for me.

Since I don't have a favorite perfume, I decided to try the Harvey Prince Mysore Sandalwood perfume, and find out if I like it or not. The scent it's too strong, it starts with a subtle and nice fragrance, but ends with a overpowering spice aroma that I don't really like. For me, the Mysore Sandalwood it's a not !

@HarveyPrince has been one of my perfume favorites so I was super excited to see it on @0.8L_usa Try Now feature for $3.99! The scent I got was "Mysore Sandalwood" which I had never smelled before. The bottle is a nice size and has a pump that distributes the spray nicely. My favorite from the brand has a light fruity scent (Hello) but this is much different. This has a woodsy type scent that includes cardamom, cumin, sage, and rose. Once left to dry a little the scent grew on me and I really like it. I received this product at a discounted price for the purpose of reviewing. The description of the scent is of sweet cardamom, spicy cumin, soft clary sage, dewy rose, and soothing chamomile danced with deep cypress, clean musk, warm amber, and Mysore sandalwood notes. I was actually quite shocked at the staying power of the scent. Wearing it for a day you can smell the Pleasant earthy toned fragrance throughout and even into the next day. in my opinion this fragrance could work well for a man or a woman. I actually wasn't as fond of the top notes as I was of the lower notes in this perfume. I think it's the sage that I wasn't terribly fond of, but other than that I actually have grown to really enjoy this fragrance. I'm also someone who is extremely sensitive to perfumes and fragrances and although this is a little bit stronger than I normally wear I didn't have any issues with headaches or asthma which can be a common problem when it comes to fragrances for me. It comes in a very nice little glass bottle and sprays generously. definitely was surprised that I like this as much as I do. Style: Alluring. Mystical. Serene.

I love fragrance but I am extremely picky on the scent. I took the opportunity to test out the Harvey Prince Mysore Sandalwood women's perfume when 0.8l_usa made it available in their Try Now. The perfume is 100% gluten free, vegan, cruelty free and is described as one of the most popular fragrances from The Story of Perfume Book that has all the best scents of India. In this bottle you get a scent that is alluring, mystical & serene. It contains sweet cardamom, spicy cumin, soft clary sage, dewy rose, soothing chamomile, deep Cyprus, clean musk, and Mysore sandalwood notes. I received a 1 oz, heavy glass bottle. The nozzle is a little tough to press but the spray itself comes out in a nice mist. The first time I put it on, I knew I was not going to like it. Right away I felt a headache coming on from it. I found that the notes of cumin and sage are very strong and mixed in with the sandalwood, it gave off a funky scent on my skin. However, I do have another Harvey Prince perfume that I will be reviewing soon that I love. I received this for $3.99 in exchange for my honest review.

I tried the Harvey Prince Mysore Sandalwood perfume after purchasing it for $3.99 using the Try Now feauture. I’ll be blunt: I’m not a huge fan of the scent, and have passed it on to a friend, but I’ll go ahead and give some notes about the product. On the Harvey Prince website, the Mysore Sandalwood perfume is described: “... She stopped by a stall with perfume oils and incense. A friendly older gentleman offered her a whiff of pure sandalwood essential oil. She softly inhaled the familiar scent and exhaled with a sense of serenity. She then took her Mysore Sandalwood perfume out of her purse and offered him a whiff. As she opened the cap, the scent of sweet cardamom, spicy cumin, soft clary sage, dewy rose, and soothing chamomile danced with deep cypress, clean musk, warm amber, and Mysore sandalwood notes...” The product came in a simple, clear bottle with a silver cap, and contains 30 mL of perfume (smaller than your standard perfume). It retails on the HP website for $37, which isn’t an unfair price point. It could probably be marketed as a unisex fragrance, and has some notes that I would usually like, but it just wasn’t for me. Overall, I’m glad that I got to test this perfume at a discounted cost, but in the end, you won’t always like a scent that you purchase online before smelling in person.

I have been a fan of Harvey Prince Organics since I got my first sample from Birchbox. Since then I have stocked my shelf with Yogini and Hello so I was really excited 2 get the Mysore Sandalwood. I love that this has a rich deep creaminess that is the perfect antidote to the overly sugary sweet perfumes that have flooded the market. I'm 45 years old, I don't need to smell like a tween who spent too much time at Bath & Body Works. This is a beautiful true Sandalwood that blends spice with the cream for a truly unique scent. Just like me! LOL
