Finally got around to trying the grand david coffee blend by @coffee_brownbag I got this from #08l try now campaign paying $3.99 Review: This coffee smells so good. Nutty and rich, however I'm not so sure of the taste. It wasn't as nutty as it smelled and it was a bit bitter in away I didn't like. The coffee is full body and deep flavored. I normally love Colombian/Brazilian coffees that are nutty, but this one confuses me. It might be because there so many other type beans blended. The quality of the coffee is great, just the blend was not what I expected. My husband likes this but I think I prefer the blossom blend more, which is funny because I didn't prefer that one too. I think I need more time with the two blends, they might grow on me. but for now, I'm not in love with either blend. I made a two shot espresso with condensed milk, I normally use half and half. I only had condensed milk for viet coffee. Brownbag Coffee in Blossom (courtesy of @0.8L_USA) I think this is my last foodie campaign that I applied for (not that I am not open to more foodie campaigns ~ there just hasn't been any more!) Brownbag Coffee is the leading coffee startup in South Korea and is the only professional electric bean roaster They are an eco-friendly brand, striving for the least amount of external environmental impact. They have many varieties to choose from, but I went with Blossom as it was described as "sweet & floral and chocolate scent, smooth but sour" This is a lighter roast coffee, imho, made with a blend of coffee beans from Ethiopia, Brazil and India. The bag is really nice except for one thing ~ it is not resealable. I used a clip to keep the beans fresh inside ~ and I like how it has a seal on the bag where you can smell the aroma. The beans are whole, so you do have to grind them. If you don't want to spend money on a grinder ~ manual ones are very inexpensive ~ you can go down to your local grocery store and use the grinder there if they have one (most do in the USA). I use a French Press as I like to control the strength of my coffee and according to the coffee guide on the back of the bag (I've included the English translation here), I only need to steep my coffee for 20 to 30 seconds. I keep it a little longer ~ about a minute, just as I like a bit more strength in my coffee. The aroma on this coffee is wonderful ~ fresh, strong coffee scent, very rich. I do not smell flowers or chocolates though. Blossom is a smooth coffee and I would say it has a medium body ~ it is a good coffee to use when you have guests, as you never know what strength they might like and this is a middle-ground. For me, this is a nice coffee to have in the afternoon or evening, as it is more lightweight than what I would typically drink for a morning coffee (I like my AM coffee to growl at me!), but in the evening, I look for a more smooth blend, which this is. It is very good and thankfully, amazon USA does sell this coffee! I got the Grand David and it was absolutely robust and flavorful. There is a LOT OF CAFFEINE in these! I ground these coarse for cold brew and it sent me to the sky my first time drinking it! It learned to use less of the grounds (saving me money in the end) because I wouldn't need so much of it. The beans are not oily either, good for an at-home espresso machine.

It's a Medium to Dark Roast, and it's nutty aroma of nuts and heavy body taste. It is blended with Brazil, Guatemala, India, Ethiopia bean. Since it's whole beans, so I have to use coffee grinder to grind. I really enjoy this coffee flavor alot. I like to make an espresso and add a little condensed milk with ice in it. It's taste really good and refreshing. Well, I have a treat for you. @coffee_brownbag Freshly Roasted Specialty Coffee beans create varieties of blending combinations to create your own uniqueness. Of the 5 different varieties I was able to score [RETRO], it is described as having less sourness and less of a bitter taste. First you get these fragrant, fresh, glossy coffee beans that allow you to have fresh ground coffee whenever you choose. I didn't have a grinder on hand so I used my Magic Bullet and it worked marvelously. I ground a small amount that was about 2 1/2 TBS. I am usually not a black coffee drinker but for the sake of this review I tried it straight. It's not bad on its own but a little agave nectar allowed the flavor to really shine. The aroma reminds me of roasted nuts. The flavor was mellow and smooth with no after taste. I added a little coconut milk and it made it even better. I'm not a professional coffee connoisseur but I could see this coffee paired with chocolates 🍫, sweet cookies, cheesecake 🍰 and other desserts 🍮. I am very interested in trying the other flavors: ☕ On the Star - original strong taste of Medium-Dark roasting ☕ Blossom - fresh first taste like blooming flower ☕ Grand David - nutty aroma of nuts and heavy body taste ☕ Terra - rich, heavy coffee bean. So I already knew this product was off to a good start just by the divine smell...Every morning for 2 weeks I had this amazing brand of Brownbag Coffee Specialty Blend...The aroma floated throughout the entire house and started my day off right!! Great coffee! My husband is a big coffee drinker, he drinks daily, and I take a cup or two every few days. The coffee taste very good. It doesn’t have a very overpowering taste like other strong coffees do. But overall it has a good flavor. I made iced coffee & it was delicious for this hot weather! I had it grinned at a local grocery since i don’t have a grinder. Its only him & I so this bag lasted us a about 3weeks which is great! Thank you @brownbagcoffee & @08L!

I received a 7 ounce bag of Brownbag Coffee Grand David Dark Roast free for review from 0.8L. Very nice packaging. It did come in while bean form. You have fresh ground coffee this way each time you make some. The beans had a nice color. They ground wonderfully. The coffee is a nice deep amber shade after it brews. The aroma is wonderful. I had some with sugar and almond milk. It was rich but not harsh. It did have a nice nutty flavor topped off with a subtle hint of caramel. Over all it was a great coffee. Great plain, or with and additions you like in your coffee. I would most definitely get it again.

It’s the first thing I wake up to drink in the morning and it gets me through the day. Not only does it smell good but it also has a rich, smooth, and creamy taste to it that gives off the right energizing energy. I’m a huge coffee fan and I would recommend this to friends and family who also love coffee. Even if you don’t, it’s worth a try. It’s so good that if just might make you change your mind.

☕️ BROWN BAG Freshly Roasted Specialty Coffee Beans - “Terra” Impressions: Awesome cup of coffee from beginning to end. I opted for the TERRA bean which is described as “rich & heavy” to ensure I got a dark brew. I was pretty pleased with my selection. I would hazard a guess and say that I believe Asians have a taste for lighter brews than we have here out West. I’ll illustrate using Western brands as a barometer with Pete’s Coffee being the darkest & richest to Starbucks falling middle of the road and Coffee, Bean & Tea Leaf being the lightest. In my opinion I found this brew to fall somewhere in between Starbucks and CB&TL. The Terra brew is dark & rich but very smooth with none of the bitterness & heaviness that can sometimes accompany long roasted coffees. Both my boyfriend & I thoroughly enjoyed testing out the popular Korean brand “Brown Bag.” We had absolutely no complaints or issues with the taste or flavor. I definitely would have repurchased again from 0.8L but there seemed to be some shipping issues so I held off on another order. I’m no coffee connoisseur but I definitely felt it to be a high-quality product that I would be interested in purchasing again in future however since it is an import, pricing is much higher than similar coffee we have here. If pricing was more competitive with our current coffee market, I would be more inclined to purchase in future. A 200g bag of the Brown Bag Terra retails for $19.99.

Do you remember the Brownbag Coffee my mom and I reviewed last weekend? We tried the blossom variety this time around. Brownbag describes Blossom as "fresh first taste like blooming flower." It has a light, slightly floral taste. It's not as strong as I would prefer, though. The flavor is mild and smooth and the aroma is beautiful and bold. Whether you care for this particular variety will depend on your tastes but I feel confident giving Brownbag a favorable recommendation to anyone who prefers a light, smooth cup of java. I think maybe Korean coffee just isn't my well... cup of tea. 🤣 (I can never resist a good pun.) FINAL SCORE: 80% Taste: ⭐⭐⭐ - Nothing special but not bad, either. Freshness: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - Fresh beans vacuum sealed means a fresh cup of coffee each morning. Quality: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ - Great quality and a good value.

I’m totally a coffee wimp - I like light or medium roasts, with plenty of water, half and half and stevia. The coffee is mostly just for color 😂 I normally buy k cups or ground bagged coffee. Nonetheless, I was excited to win this specialty coffee for review. Sure, I had to borrow a grinder from my parents, but it’s so worth it! . The coffee is full bodied but not bitter. It has an excellent flavor and low acidity. The aroma is excellent, especially right after the grinder is done doing its thing. I’m definitely very pleased with it and would repurchase. I bet it would be lovely in a French press too!

Blossom which starts with freshness and then sweetness and heaviness is a personality-rich coffee that boasts different charms every moment of drinking. The bag contains 200 grams (7.05 oz) bag and indeed has a slight aroma of something floral. Recommended use for 1 shot of espresso, 7-9 grams (0.24 oz to 0.32 oz), in 30-50 ml (1.01 oz to 1.69 oz) for 25-30 seconds. French Press, 20 grams (0.70 oz), in 200 ml (6.76 oz) for 4 minutes. Coffee maker, 20 grams (0.70 oz), in 300 ml (10.1 oz) for 3 minutes. Hand drip process, 15 grams (0.52 oz), in 150 ml (5 oz) for 1 minutes 30 seconds. Moka Pot, brew as necessary according to the instructions for the pot for 5-6 minutes. Aero press, follow instructions for the press for 20-30 seconds. Dutch coffee maker, 150 grams (5.29 oz), in 1500 ml (50.72 oz), for 6-12 hours. After making, I personally used my coffee maker to brew a cup of this coffee and the flavor is very strong and fresh. This flavor is strong, but I feel that it's not as overwhelming as it could be. The flavor is smooth and slightly sour and it does have something floral to it. I really enjoyed it with vanilla creamer in particular but it also worked well with chocolate. I'd recommended this to anyone who enjoys coffee, to be honest. What I like: the flavor is strong and not bitter, it's slightly sour but not unpleasant. The scent is strong and I love the slightly floral scent you catch at the end. The flavor is great, especially mixed with vanilla creamer, my favorite pairing in my opinion. What I don't like: nothing really. Rating: 10/10

It’s time for another wonderful review from Nicki! This morning I sampled Brownbag Coffee, trying the "Grand David”; which is Brazilian coffee described as nutty, heavy, having fullness and blended. When I opened the 200g bag, I was greeted by a wonderful aroma of rich coffee. You know the fragrance that you encounter when you enter a coffee house? You stop and sigh, and say, “ahh”. That was my reaction. There is different coloring among the beans, ranging from a saddle color to a brown-black. My home grinder took the beans down to a medium consistency. I could have ground them finer had I continued. My dog, Ted, totally approved of the fragrance, by the way. He would have gladly nibbled on a bean, but was not given the opportunity. No caffeine for my pooch. I decided to brew the coffee by perking it. I could have used a French Press or done a Drip Coffee, but my favorite taste usually results when I use an old fashioned percolator. The coffee color is a lovely dark brown when finished, and the wonderful fragrance remains. Trying my coffee with a little milk, as I prefer it, I find that the taste has a medium boldness with a lasting and nice after taste. It definitely has a good richness to it. I believe that if I had ground the beans more finely, the taste would actually have been even more enhanced. I recommend this coffee and hope you enjoy it as much as I have. I was chosen by 0.8l_usa to sample Brownbag Coffee Freshly Roasted Specialty Coffee Beans for free. I like to mention first that the bag they come in is very full. I liked that, because other products are filled only half way of the bag. I got to sample On The Star and I had a positive experience with it. It started with the aroma of the coffee beans. It immediately filled the room with its delicious scent. It's a medium-dark roast which is typically what I go for. I tried it black, and with sugar and creamer, and found both delicious. When you drink it dark you can taste the slightly bitter, smokey flavor, and when you have it with sugar and creamer it definitely lightens the bitterness.
