This bi-phase essence has a ratio of 20% oil (macadamia, sunflower, jojoba, apple seed, Bergamot) to 80% watery essence (with birch sap). When shaken, the layers combine to create 'moisture in oil capsules' that provide the skin with intense hydration while gently exfoliating (with help from lactobacillus ferment and bifida ferment lysate). The scent is light, kind of herbal. This is more suitable for dry skin, however, it didn't increase oil production around my T-zone. This retails for about $30 USD. Interesting, yet effective.

After toning tonight, I used this Hyggee essence. This one is definitely highly scented with a strong herbal smell. The consistency on this was quite thick... I’ll probably save this one for colder months when my skin can handle the heaviness of this. That’s not to say this product isn’t great. It absorbed fairly quickly into my skin but takes a little bit longer than most essences. This essence contains 20 percent plant oil and 80 percent “watery” essence. What I loved is that this product is intended to replace a bunch of steps in the skincare routine. This is great for the morning when I’m on the go and trying to get my skincare and makeup done before work. Hyggee Balance One Step Essence . . . It's made for skin that's lacking in both hydration and oil, containing some stand out ingredients like macadamia seed oil, squalane, lactobacillus and bifida ferments, ceramide and cholesterol. It's a biphase essence, so it requires just a little shake to mix it up before patting it in.  I personally make broad swipes all across my face after spreading it on my palms, then pat away. . . . It's silky,  glistening watery essence absorbs almost instantly creating a warm sweater effect on my skin.  My skin instantly becomes perfectly comfortable. I can layer it easily if I want to. It's got the softest citrus scent and leaves no stickiness or oiliness behind. . . . I can't find anything wrong with this scrumptious oil essence. Fact: I have #sensitive acne-prone #combination skin (dry patchy areas on my cheeks/ mandible and oily T-zone). When i say #dry, i mean super DRY! Formulated to be a bi-phase many steps in one product from toner essence and serum. It contains 5 oils such as Squalane, Bergamot, Sunflower Jojoba and Apple seed oils as well as Birch sap, it delivers much needed moisture to dry, sensitive and aging skin. I love using this pleasantly scented product. It leaves my skin super moisturized, plump, glowing and silky feeling with no adverse effects. My pores even seems minimized and my skin looks smoother. I sometimes even skip the #moisturizer step of my routine when I use this essence. Since it is Summer I often only use it after cleansing. Their onestep essence is an all-in-one with minimal nutritional ingredients, which simplifies moisturizing procedures on the skin. The essence contains 110 ml (3.71 oz) and has a very strong bergamot scent. The packaging has a stopper to control the amount you can shake out. The consistency of the essence is a watery/oily texture. It blends out well and the scent of the bergamot remains strong after applying. The essence absorbs well but does leave a slightly oily finish, but it’s very moisturizing. Recommended use is to shake 3-5 times before using and then apply a moderate amount to the face. Apply morning and night and it can be used on its own as it acts as not only an essence but a toner and serum. After using, this is a kind of hyped up product that I didn’t know what to expect. After applying, I was so overwhelmed by the scent of bergamot, in a good way of course because I love bergamot. And it’s amazingly moisturizing, my skin felt and looked brighter and more plump and hydrated, the effect was instant and I was really impressed. This is a so handy as it’s an all-in-one product and cuts down on the products you need to use. The ingredients are simple and very nourishing. I think, however, if you’re sensitive to scent, the strong bergamot scent won’t be a good option for you. What I like: I love the scent! I just want to drink lots of earl grey tea now lol. This essence although has some very good points. This is very gentle essence, pact with so many ingredients stays on very low pH level, is non irritating and effect on skin are visible quick. The scent of it is citrusy, and very light, after application skin feels super smooth and hydrated and will leave skin with delicate film of oil on top. It is not overly greasy. 💦Review: #Hyggee One Step Facial Essence - Balance💦 I've been wanting to try this product ever since @fiddysnails raved about it back in the day (#fiddymademedoit 😂)! This is such a great product for days where you only have the time or energy to use minimal skincare because it's actually very moisturizing. This essence claims to be an all-in-one product for skin that lacks moisture and oil. It contains an 80:20 ratio of a watery essence to oils to help provide hydration and moisture. The ingredients of this essence are so great: birch sap to hydrate, and macadamia oil, sunflower seed oil, squalane, and apple seed oil to moisturize. There are also some ferments for some anti-oxidant power, and ceramide 3 and cholesterol to help strengthen the skin barrier. One caveat is the inclusion of bergamot oil, which makes the essence smell wonderful, but some people may want to avoid. I personally don't think there's enough of it to cause any issues, but definitely avoid if you're sensitive to it. This is a bi-phase essence that needs to be shaken well before use. The texture is actually fairly thin, with tiny oil droplets dispersed throughout. I've actually been able to get away with using only this under a non-drying sunscreen despite my really dry skin. I also like it for nights when I can't bear to layer multiple products. I love that this essence absorbs into my skin quickly and moisturizes so well! I also appreciate that the bergamot scent dissipates quickly. I absolutely love everything about this product! Starting with the ingredients list, containing natural ingredients especially the Birch Sap(Betula japonica juice) which I have recently grown an obsession with. It’s known for hydration and makes me happy it’s at the top of the list. Also contains jojoba seed oil, squalene and ceramide NP all which are essentials for my dry/dehydrated skin. When I first opened it, I was skeptical. It does have a smell but it’s not artificial, it just is a natural scent from the ingredients. You kinda get used to it. I was also skeptical thinking it would be oily since you can see the oil in liquid. Once I applied it, it was an instant AHHH! moment on my skin. It felt plump, it absorbed, it felt hydrated! I have applied it in layers and I can definitely see this being an essential during the colder months where my skin needs EXTRA moisture and hydration. I love that it can seriously be used as the toner, the essence or the serum as they claim. But I’ve also used it as a single step and feel like it’s still too much for the summer months where my skin doesn’t need as much. I did my best to use it throughout the month but really wanna save it to it most once the air gets dryer. I definitely recommend this product and would purchase once it runs out!
