VELY VELY Artemisia Balance Essence

I am so happy I got to try another product from Vely Vely. This essence is absolutely a dream! Definitely a splurge self care sign care product. It contains pure and undiluted Artimisia extract, hence its heftier price point. I noticed immediately that it sinks into the skin beautifully and with no weird residue. Outta natural scent is absolutely heavenly, it's like a muted spicy cinnamon, not artificially scented. I also noticed right away it calmed down my rosacea that had been flared for a week, so it definitely has skin calming, moisturizing and brightening effects. I also love that their boxes have special tags that prove authenticity. This is a little bit of an investment for your skin care, but highly worth the price for the quality. Absolutely beautiful product, I have so enjoyed it!

I would describe the scent to be fruity with a hint of herbal smell. It absorbs quickly into my skin leaving it feeling smooth and tightened. I would definitely add another essence or serum after this step since it’s not particularly hydrating. I like it for my combo/oily skin during hot summer days but I can’t justify purchasing it at full price.🍃⁣ ⁣ 🍃This essence retails for about $43/150mL.⁣🍃⁣ ⁣

I was recently gifted this product to try from Vely Vely - the Vely Vely Artemisia Balance Essence. I was so stoked to try this out as I was in the market for a new essence. To preface this - I have combination skin with oil areas around my cheek and nose. My skin can be sensitive and reactive to products. When I looked into this product, I was glad to see that it does not contain any alcohol or added fragrance. I did a patch test on my hand and neck, and my skin accepted it very well. There isn’t a strong scent to this product. The consistency is very light, similar to water. It does not leave any sticky residue. The product gets absorbed fairly quickly. I noticed my skin feeling more calm and reduced redness overall after a few uses. It does lock in moisture almost immediately and prevents my troubled areas from being too oily. I’ve been using this for just a few days and have fallen in love with it. I usually pour some on my hand and tap it into my skin for better absorption. This product is very simple and organic as it only has one ingredient - 100% artemisia (mugwort) extract! What is Artemisia? After researching into this ingredient here’s what I found: Artemisia is an aromatic herb indigenous to the Middle East. This herb can be used in tea, usually with mint. Artemisia also has anti-inflammatory properties. It can calm and soothe skin, while providing it with essential nutrients including Vitamin A and C. This product contains 5 fl. oz and can be purchased on @amazon for a retail value of $43.

This is a thin, watery, essence, works well after a hydrating toner or before a hydrating serum, or on it's own. I like it, this is my first exposure to its main ingredient. My skin likes fermented products, so I expected to like this one, too. Because it's a watery essence, it fits well as an early layer in a multi step routine. It's hard to say how well it works in such a short review period, but, my skin is extremely sensitive right now and this essence does not seem to aggravate my skin. I definitely like this brand and would try more from this line.

Vely Vely recently gifted me their Artemisia Balance Essence through a campaign here on 08L and I've been using it now for around three weeks. It is made from 100% artemisia(mugwort) extract and contains no other ingredients! Artemisia is an aromatic herb that is well known for its fantastic anti-inflammatory properties. It works to calm and soothe redness, help heal breakouts, and is packed with Vitamin A(skin renewal & regeneration) as well as Vitamin C (skin brightening and protection), making this a superfood ingredient for the skin! This is a first treatment essence which is meant to be the base layer of your skincare routine, even before toners. There is a slight herbal scent which is very pleasant, and the consistency is that of water-- no viscosity. I am so pleased with this essence! Anything that helps calm redness and irritated skin, I am completely all for. I have noticed my skintone become more even and have noticed a decrease in the redness I often experience on my cheeks and across the bridge of my nose, due to lupus. This essence also works very well at hydrating the skin, and doesn't leave any sticky residue behind like some essences do. This is going to sound weird but every time I use this essence, I can literally feel the inflammation leaving my skin-- my face gets very hot for a few seconds and then feels strangely cooling. D’Alba White Truffle First Spray Serum I have never used a spray serum before and was a little hesitant to try. This serum completely surprised me. I sprayed it on in the morning, after washing my face and it was instant heaven. My skin is really dry, I live in the desert with almost no humidity. So you can imagine how cool and hydrating this felt. Sometimes I will put my moisturizer on top of it, sometimes I don’t. I find my self using this a time or two throughout the day to give my skin moisture. It leaves my skin very soft and does not have a heavy smell, it is very faint. This product feels moisturizing and soothing, not too heavy or overbearing. VELY VELY Artemisia balance Essence works great with my sensitive skin . I received this from @08literusa at incredible discount for my honest review. My skin is very fickle and is dry and sensitive as I have Lupus. This 100% Artemisia extract was very comforting and soothing to my skin. It left my skin feeling soft and smooth! It’s fragrance free and I noticed a reduction in redness and sensitivity. This skin-care product has only a single ingredient a 100% essence made of artemisia extract which known as a medicinal plant mugwort and no any chemicals. Clean ingredients!!! It has a brownish color and the consistency is very watery. It is lightweight and has an earthy smell almost like grass. This extract help to soothe the skin and heal acne and breakouts. I used this after cleansing and that's it! since I want to know how it works on my skin I stopped using my toner for a while and use this instead as my toner. I like how it refresh and hydrates my skin, and also the calming effect and how it balance and brightens. I have a very sensitive skin but I never had irritation at all with this so I can recommend it for people with sensitive skin.

When I found out Vely Vely has a mugwort essence product I was ecstatic to try this because the ingredient is quite popular right now. Artemisia also known as mugwort is a type of ingredient that's known to balance and reduce redness. It's also known to calm down and soothe the skin while providing hydration. So far, my skin is loving this essence. It has a herbal smell, kinda earthy and subtle. It smells natural perse - I have sensitive skin so I tend to break out easily and this product helps calm down a raging pimple I had.

I did some digging and apparently this brand had issues a few months back, one being mold in their products. I have been exposed to mold/mildew in the past and it has caused a reaction on my skin. So, I am not saying this product is contaminated. I have no proof of that, but it messed up my skin horribly for a while and I don't know why but, this brand has had some major problems. ⁣ ⁣ 🤔I have a few other products from them and I haven't had any issues but, I am now leery of them. Today I'm reviewing Vely Vely Artemisia Balance Essence which I was gifted. ⁣ ⁣ Artemisia Balance Essence is a single ingredient product (Artemisia) used to calm irritated skin, moisturize, help repair collagen, it's truly a multipurpose step in your skincare routine that's simply used to Balance. This Essence is used as the first step before toner. You can pat it on your face or use a sheet mask or cotton pads to leave in place for dryer more irritated spots. ⁣ ⁣ I'm left with a lack of words to describe my personal feelings. I used it for a few days in my normal routine. I cleansed and used the Artemisia followed by serum, SPF, and moisturizer. I myself did not notice a different in my skin but this may be because I do not suffer from irritated inflamed skin. ⁣ ⁣ My overall opinion of this product is positive although it does not instantly provide me any significant changes to my normal/ slightly sensitive skin. With long term use it would help keep me moisturized and be beneficial for collagen. The scent is light and the packaging is lovely. I definitely recommend this product for those with dry/ sensitive skin. ⁣

I received this at a discounted price for my honest review. I’ve enjoyed this Essence quite a bit. I applied this in the morning after my toner for the most part and it gave me a nice hydrated base for the rest of my skincare. I did use this as a mask just to see how it would do. I added the essence to a mask pod, it took quite a bit of essence to get a good soak. Because of that I don’t think I’d use it often as a mask like that. I get like my face was tightened after using it as a mask. Like my pores and lines appeared less visible. Overall I really enjoy this product. It does have a slight scent but it’s not very overwhelming, it’s a mix between herbal and medicinal to me. It is a bit pricier to me than what I usually spend on products but I do recommend this especially for sensitive skin folks.
