I was super excited to try the @velyvely_global Artemisia Balance Essence through @08liter at a discounted price. I’ve heard a lot of great things about Vely Vely and the Artemisia Essence was a wonderful step into their product line. The essence has watery but vicious texture. It’s best applied by patting it into your skin for maximum absorption. It felt really light on the skin and absorbed well. I was really happy that it didn’t have the tacky feeling on my skin. It also worked really well under my night lotion. Since this essence can be used in place of your toner, I thought adding it to my night regimen was best. It’s also great on sensitive skin, which is perfect right now as the weather is driving my skin haywire and I feel that this has really helped with the hydration.

Vely Vely, started off as a clothing brand founded by famous Korean actress and model Im Ji Hyun, launched the cosmetics brand in 2017 & has been picking up steam for its makeup, particularly the cushions foundations. But this Vely Vely Artemisia Balance Essence is one of the brand’s first skin care products to really take off. According to Korea Herald, Vely Vely Artemisia Balance Essence has quickly become the best-selling product in duty-free shops in Korea, with more than 130,000 bottles sold in the month following its launch. I’m not usually swayed by actress endorsement, but after trying this, it’s easy to understand why it’s so popular. Got a chance to try this at trial fee thanks to @0.8l_usa & @velyvely_global. While Artemisia has been an on-trend skincare ingredients following the Cica trend, the most interesting part is that Vely Vely highlights the high concentration and purity of its Artemisia Balance Essence formula. It consists of one single ingredient: Artemisia Capillaris extract. There are several hundred species of Artemisia (also commonly known as Mugwort or Wormwood). This family of plant includes herbaceous plants and shrubs, usually aromatic.  In cosmetics, it’s mainly used for its calming properties, but it also has antibacterial, antifungal, anti-inflammatory properties to help calm rashes, itching, and skin irritation and antioxidant effect for a daily anti-aging preventive action. While I don’t usually have sensitive skin that needs a lot of calming, I was interested in Artemisia because I use strong anti-aging like retinol and acids like AHA, BHA, etc which tend to make my skin more sensitive than usual. The packaging is moss green tinted bottle with screw top cap. It has a subtle herbal scent. The texture is watery, but a little more viscous than water, makes it a very refreshing product. I like its calming effect & put on several layers if my skin feels more irritated than usual. (It could actually be used as sheet mask essence, but stingy-me doesn’t want it wasted on the sheet or even cotton pads). Artemisia means Mugwort which has immense cooling and soothing properties. I love the sleek plastic bottle packaging. It contains 100% pure mugwort extract and has a natural mugwort scent and color. I layer it in 4 layers for the best effect. It is an expensive mugwort essence though

I looked it up and artemisia is a diverse genus of plants commonly known as mugwort, wormwood, and sagebrush. This essence contains 100% undiluted artemisia extract. It hydrates, balances and brightens your skin. Antioxidants, beta carotene and minerals add nutrients including vitamin a to your skin. There are no artificial colors, fragrances or other additives. This is really lovely and I do see that it balances and brightens, two things that are important at this time of the year especially. I also like knowing that it’s hydrating and firming my skin. I received another amazing product from Vely Vely and of course I love it! It's an essence which are personally my favorite part of skincare routine because it's always the most unique and special ingredients in them I have found. This one in particular has extract of Artemisia which is a flower that buds in the winter with strong vitality..... Claims: Moisture boosting, smooths and balances skin texture, and makes skin strong . Directions: After washing your face this should be the first step of the skincare routine. Add a few drops to a cotton pad or to ur hands and gently press into your skin. The pressing motion is the best way for any essence product to absorb.

oh my gosh this essence is awesome. it leaves my skin feeling so fresh! its lightweight and doesnt make my skin feel greasy. it balanced out my uneven skin tone very well. would recommend.

This essence started out a little rough for me, but the experience became great after using it for about a week. Initially, I developed whiteheads within the the first two days of use. However, after 5 days of use they were all gone and my skin started to look healthy and clear. After two weeks of using, my skin feels great. It is plump, firm, well hydrated, and is free from any blemishes. The scent is minimal, and the only way I can describe it is to say it smells clean and fresh. Overall, I’m really pleased with this essence. I plan on finishing this bottle and then finding a way to incorporate it into my skincare routine somehow.

So I'd give the Vely Vely Artemisia Balance Essence a 4 out of 5 stars. I really love that it's literally only one ingredient and it's all natural. I've never used an essence before and I love adding it to my routine. I actually used it kind of like a hydrating toner. I noticed it got some dirt off my face but still left my skin hydrated. It didn't irritate my skin at all and smelled almost kind of like honey. So no offensive smell which is good. The only reason why I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is because I noticed a zit forming a few days after using this and I'm not 100% sure if it's because of the essence or because my skin gets zits occasionally. I received Vely Vely Artemisia Balance Essence for testing purposes. This is very toner like essence, I have tried more thicker essences before it somehow it felt really moisturizing and vitalizes the skin. I didn’t use this long enough to really see permanent result but so far I really like the scent and the packaging. It has brown color which I was really surprised when I first tried it. It is easy to use. Only down side of this product is price. It is very expensive for my liking

This has 100% artemisia extract that claims have healing, soothing properties, it’s a great addition for sensitive skin people as it helps with redness and also they claim that it helps with collagen production and diminishes fine lines. . . I love mugwort.. it’s been my goto ingredient since I’ve used @imfrom products. I have been using this for a while now and I can say that it helps with sensitivity. I recieved this at a discount for my honest review. This is advertised as a first essence with no artificial fragrance or additives. it is made of 100% Artemisia Capillaris. I've used it for a couple weeks and experienced no adverse reactions. It has a very watery consistency which make for a good first Essence. I enjoyed using it and it seemed to help my very dry skin. I gave 4 stars because of price

In Korea, artemisia essences are all the rage, so I decided to pick one up. The Vely Vely Artemisia Balance Essence is meant to soothe and smooth skin with the power of the Artemisia plant that blooms in winter. It contains 100% Artemisia capillaris water extract, and it should boost the vitality of skin, balance, and moisturize. Though not mentioned anywhere on the website or the box, this product also lightly plumps the skin, and I've noticed the difference in my cheeks, fine lines, and crow's feet by my eyes. My cheek pores also seem smaller and more closed than usual. Artemisia is an ancient Asian aromatic herb, praised for its healing and soothing properties on aging and sensitive skin types. It stimulates collagen production, diminishes fine lines, relieves redness and recharges the skin. According to reviews online, this product helps a lot with soothing fungal acne and rosacea on the skin, as well as balancing out oily and combination skin types. The Vely Vely Artemisia Balance Essence is a golden brown liquid with a scent that is difficult to explain. It is very "Hanbang" and it smells very strong, herbal and medicinal, minty but not the scent of tea tree or menthol. The smell does fade but it will definitely be a shock the first time you use it. This product is a "first essence", so it should be used on dry skin immediately after cleansing. I prefer to pour the essence into my hand to pat it on, but it can be applied with a cotton pad. Rather than applying the balancing essence first, I prefer to apply it after my face has been soaked with toner. Sensitive skin advisory: I've noticed that when I apply the essence directly on dry skin, whether it's my face or my hands, I feel a minty tingle. At first it's refreshing, but that feeling continues to be amplified as it soaks into my skin, and I feel the need to rinse my face off and start over. (Rinsing my face with water makes the feeling go away, and my pores remain shrunken.) It's a similar feeling to that minty, almost numbing sensation you experience with a plumping lipstick. To me, that feeling is extremely uncomfortable. That being said, if you like the feeling of plumping lipsticks, you may really enjoy using this product on dry skin, especially in the hot summer. I find that when I apply this essence to wet skin instead, I do not experience that tingly sensation at all, and I can enjoy the balancing and lightly plumping properties without discomfort. It's perfectly comfortable to use this essence strong immediately after a toner and I do not feel the urge to rinse it off once the product has balanced my skin. The Vely Vely Artemisia Balance Essence works nicely so far. It does seem to balance out my oily skin, shrink my pores, and give me some light plumping, and I have not experienced any new breakouts while using this essence, especially in combination with my peptide and ceramide creams. My comfort level varies depending on how it's applied, but it does seem to be effective, so I will continue to use it to see how much I like it going forward. The main key ingredient is Artemisia which is ancient asian aromatic herb for healing and soothing properties on aging and sensitive skin types. The artemisia helps simulate collagen production, diminish fine lines, relieves redness and recharge the skin. The essences is very refreshing and cleans my skin by removing impurities and soothe redness from cleansing. The essence has a slight scent which smells like asian herbal medicine. The liquid has a slight camber color and the texture is smooth and liquid. I find it to help with the tightness and over shiny face after I clean my skin with the cleanser. I think it also helped with blemishes. I find it to be gentle and non irritating. I like this essence because I can tell a difference with using it and not because it does help my skin feel more moisturized and the redness is not visible. I give this a 9/10.

Now onto the product, the Essence has a very watery consistency which I love, making it very easy to absorb and pat in . It has a slight herbal scent which is not overpowering in the least . Afterwards my face felt so hydrated. I really enjoyed using this product and this my first time using a product containing Artemisia.

🍃Claims: soothe and heal aging and sensitive skin. 🍃Ingredients: Artemisia Capillaris Extract. 🍃Scent and texture: has an herb/ floral scent. Is very watery in consistency but I used it with or without a pad. 🍃Results: I'll be honest I was a little afraid of the scent didn't know if it was going to be strong or no scent at all, but I enjoy it. I find the essence to be very refreshing and even the smell kind of wakes me up in the morning. It hydrates my skin and leaves no tackiness. I will say that my skin is less red and I get less irritations from other products too. Overall 5/5, hydrating and great for sensitive skin.
