I used less than I believe intended (it said generous amount, I used about two pea sized drops for my face, neck and chest area) and it worked great. I only use it every other day or so and it leaves my skin so soft afterwards. I will admit I was worried about it clogging my pores at first (when wet it has a slight oily texture) but it dried and was completely fine, even the next day.

Vely Vely Artemisia Balance Essence This essence contains 100% Artemisia extract that is known for healing and soothing properties. It truly brings down the inflammation and redness in the skin and with longer use it also helps with fine lines and stimulates collagen production. It has herby, very pleasant scent (I know, not everyone likes it), it is watery and sinks immediately into the skin. I use cotton pad with a bit of toner to swipe across my skin. On day when I can definitely feel redness and inflammation I pat it directly to the skin. I heard so many good things about Artemisia, so I jump on the wagon, expecting great results instantly. All my good results came after maybe a week of use, but now I cant live without it. It calms the skin, tame the redness and hydrates. If you thinking about trying it, give it a fair chance. It will work on the skin and the results are amazing.

Vely Vely Artemisia Balance Essence is a try for a honest opinion. I like Vely. Vely products so this was another great one. It has a very slight scent to it and isn’t clear. The essence absorbs in the skin right away. As soon as I put it on it’s absorbed.

I have very sensitive skin & this essence has already helped calm and smooth my skin so much, I can't believe how amazing this is! Especially it being made from 100% pure artemsia- it soaks right in and my skin feels so soft afterwards. I get more excited to do my skincare routine now that I have this! I recently had gotten some fungal acne from using too many heavy products prior- and this is one of the few skincare products that is completely fungal acne safe, it's actually helping to heal it. I love making DIY sheet masks with it too for areas that need extra moisture or soothing. I couldn't be more thankful to have been able to try this amazing product 🌿🧖🏽‍♀️ I reccomend it to literally any skin type or skin concern! It's a unviersal essence everyone needs in their routine 🤍

Could not wait to try this today since I have heard good reviews about it. Woke up and washed my face and then took a cotton ball and put the Artemisia all over my face and neck. Smells pretty good and feels great and absorbs quickly, makes your skin feel clean and toned. I then sprayed on my d'Alba and waited for everything to set. I put my makeup on and my face looked glowy and clean. I would definately purchase this after this bottle is gone!

So does anyone suffer from Rosacea, Melasma or Redness? I definitely do. I am forever trying new products to ease the redness but have found it incredibly difficult to treat. I do occasionally come across some products that help & this is one of the more effective ones. Because I have combo skin with some acne here or there & patches of dryness/flakes I need products for redness that don’t dry my skin out or cause irritation & blemishes. This is my first time trying a single ingredient skincare product. This essence is made of 100% artemisia extract which is also known as mugwort and is a very popular and trendy ingredient in skincare right now and with good reason. Mugwort is known for its healing and soothing properties and has anti-acne, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory properties. 😍This is a first essence which is to be used directly after cleansing. It has a brownish color, a very thin watery consistency, and an earthy smell that dissipates almost immediately when I apply it to my skin. It sinks in to my skin quickly and feels so amazing and calming to my skin. If my skin is looking red or feeling extra stressed, I will apply a second layer. 🌿Product🌿 Artemisia Balance Essence by VELY VELY I’ve enjoyed many of VELY VELY’s makeup and skincare products in the past, so naturally I had to try out their Artemisia Balance Essence. Artemisia, also known as Mugwort, is an ingredient I have little experience with, but the essence claims to calm, balance, and nourish sensitive skin. The essence has a watery consistency, like most essences do, and the smell is surprisingly natural and herbal. Once it dries down, the smell goes away. The essence also layers well under foundation. In terms of my skin, I have found that over time, the essence has calmed and balanced out my skin. However, given the high price point of the product, I do personally think that this product is best suited for those with sensitive or acne-prone skin like mine, as I don’t see this benefiting those who have normal skin otherwise and the product is fairly expensive. Overall, another great product from VELY VELY!

This was my first experience with a product containing artemisia. The product claims to help skin health and brighten skin. It also contains beta carotene to help prevent wrinkles. This has very little smell and a watery consistency so I recommend using cotton (especially reusable!) My skin has been acting up lately, so I haven’t used this much yet so that it can clear up and I can adequately see results. This essence is light yet super hydrating and refreshing the formula targets the fine lines and uneven skin tone. There's no strong scent to it and it gets absorb into the skin instantly. Most importantly doesn’t leave any sticky feeling behind! This is perfect if you live in a hot state like me! Since it’s watery I like to put it on a spray bottle and spray directly onto my face so I can get it all over my face and not waste any. This can be a great everyday essence after face wash to balances skin tone and hydrate the face. I highly recommend giving this item essence by Vely Vely a try it won’t disappoint you! Hey y'all! I have a few things I want to tell you about tonight... Yes, I have another @sioris_official product! This is the Feel So Fresh* in all it's beautiful aquamarine glory. Star ingredients include 85% Jeju Pomelo extract (rich in vitamin C), 5% witch hazel, 2%propanediol, and 2% black willow bark extract. These are just the first 4 on the deck and all the others are impressive as well. This is supposed to be good for combo/oily, acne prone skin. My skin is more on the normal, but I am really enjoying layering this with other toners. I love to apply different toners/essences in my routine, and this new @velyvely_official Artemisia Balance Essence* I recieved from @0.8l_usa for review has been working beautifully. This has 100% mugwort extract to help sooth the skin. I feel like this has been a great addition to my routine to keep acne away due to wearing mask all day. I love the smell as it is a earthy almost like grass scent. Now let's finish up with one of my favorite body care brands. @lather has never disappointed me! I love them and was so excited to receive this as a @joinpalm pick! This beautiful clove soap that included the most adorable soap dish along with the Almond, milk and honey body butter is so fantastic. I adore the little wooden dish! The clove soap leaves your skin feeling so soft, but once I used the body butter that smells so incredible my skin felt amazing. The body butter is my favorite of the set. As soon I open it my nose is taken by the smell of milk and honey, and honestly it just puts me in a good mood. I highly recommend anything from Lather!!! This product is absolutely amazing! First thing is Vely Vely is an excellent brand. Their products work so well. This is my first skincare product that actually contains Artemisia. This product has an earthy woody scent to it. It reminds me of the smell of a fresh garden. It is a Water-like substance. It absorbs quickly without leaving any film or residue behind. It leaves my skin feeling soft but a tad bit sticky. If I don't put too much of it on my skin it's much less tacky. It isn't very moisturizing or hydrating but it does refresh my skin. It works more like a toner than anything. It removes dirt and oils from my skin and cleans my pores. It's a great product and I absolutely love it. I just don't think it should be used to moisturize your skin. This product is absolutely worth the purchase and the try.

[VELY VELY] Artemisia Balance Essence @velyvely_official @velyvely_global I haven't done a skincare review for quite some time now and what a better product to review than a top, best-selling product in Korea, Vely Vely Artemisia Balance Essence. Artemisia is a diverse genus of plants and the most commonly named species in this genus is Mugwort. Most often, Artemisia in Korean skincare are generally Mugwort. In skincare, Mugwort is another favorite ingredient of mine, second to Centella. Just like centella, it is great for all skin types, most particularly, dry, sensitive, and acne-prone skin.  This particular essence is not like a regular essence, it is considered a "first essence," just like what it says on the packaging, "The First Essence in Skincare Routine." If you've never heard of a First Essence, it's basically the first step in skincare, after cleansing, that you apply onto your face before starting the rest of your skincare for it to have a better absorption.  This Artemisia Balance Essence is said to contain 100% Artemisia Capillaris Extract, the only ingredient listed on this product. It cost, roughly, about $43 for 150ml, which is quite expensive; but if you look at the ingredient, for it being such a pure product, it is worth it.  Think of this as a toner, the first step in skincare and just like most toner, it is very runny, just like water. It has a slight herbal scent and is brown, tea-like in color; nothing off-putting. After cleansing my face, I often use a peeling pad or a one-step pad, followed by toner. Since I'm testing this product, I've opted out of using toner and I am replacing it with this Artemisia Balance Essence. I put a few drops on my hand and lightly pat it onto my face, my prefered method for putting on toner. I repeat this for two to three times and follow with a serum. These days, I've cut my skincare routine down and just stop at the serum, unless I'm going out, I follow up with a light cream and some spf.  What I like about this essence is that it absorbs well and quickly, so the wait time is very minimal. I have enjoyed this essence for a few weeks now and I really like it. It is great at providing relief and calming down damaged skin. It is very soothing and healing, quite effective at treating redness and skin sensitivity. It has nourished my skin a lot, especially in a time like now. This is an odorless, translucid essence made to enhance skin moisture and relieve the dryness. Its consistency is watery and not sticky at all. The essence contains 100% Artemisia extract which helps calm and soothes redness on the skin while also healing acne/breakouts. It's also packed with Vitamin A (great for skin renewal and regeneration) and Vitamin C (a skin brightening and protecting ingredient) How to use it: First, clean and dry your face. What is the difference between a toner and an essence?  A toner is primarily used to clean and lock in moisture after cleansing.  An essence is used after a toner to target specific concerns such as fine liners and wrinkles, and to hydrate.  You should use your essence after toning to prep your skin for the next step in your routine. I have been using Vely Vely's Artemisia Balance Essence for the past week and it is fabulous!  This interesting ingredient, Artemisia, has been used as a medicinal plant for millenia.  So what does it do for the skin, and why should you add this essence containing Artemisia Capillaris Extract?  Look what Artemisia can do: * ~ Calm redness ~ Clear acne ~ Anti-Aging Benefits: Contains Vitamins A (for renewal and regeneration), and C (for brightening and protection) * My thoughts on Vely Vely Artemisia Balancing Essence: * I must say, that when I first put it on the cotton ball, I was a bit surprised at the color, but it's an essence, NOT a toner.  I didn't notice any scent at all, and was pleased with that aspect.  I loathe layering things with different scents on my face.  Upon application, I found that it absorbed well, and left me skin feeling well hydrated, but slightly tacky.  That tackiness faded quickly as it absorbed.  It set a nice foundation for my next step and I noticed my serum did, in fact, absorb a bit quicker than usual.  Overall, I'm liking this essence and will continue to use it in my daily skincare routine. *

I have been using it more like a toner and now my skin is feeling very firm and hydrated. The Vely Vely Artemisia Balance Essence is designed to balance moisture/oil, sooth and moisturize, and keep skin healthy and bright. It contains 100% Artemisia extract. (There is only one ingredient in this essence!) Artemisia has been a trendy ingredient in skincare, following on the heels of Cica. Both are calming and balancing, and beneficial to a wide range of skin types. I had thought Artemisia was simply another name for Mugwort, but according to Wikipedia: “Artemisia is a large, diverse genus of plants with between 200 and 400 species belonging to the daisy family Asteraceae. Common names for various species in the genus include mugwort, wormwood, and sagebrush.” In skincare, it’s mainly used for its calming properties, but is also antibacterial, antifungal, and anti-inflammatory and an antioxidant. I had seen this product on Instagram, but didn’t know much about the brand. Apparently it is an off-shoot beauty brand from the fashion brand Im Vely, founded in 2015 by model Im Ji Hyun. It has since become massively popular. The Artemisia essence comes in a plastic bottle with a dispenser top that taps out just the right amount. I find that it takes very little product to drench my whole face, so 150 ml (5.07 oz) should last a good while. There is a light herbal scent that I enjoy, and it soaks in and leaves my skin looking and feeling refreshed. For more intense hydration, this essence could be used for DIY sheet masks. There is a slight color to the essence, and the color may change over time although the bottle has a dark tint which should help keep it from oxidizing as quickly. I was able to try this at a reduced cost thanks to @0.8l_usa & @velyvely_global. It retails for 43$ on the Vely Vely website, which seems a bit expensive to me (though again I do think it will last a while). Ingredient: Artemisia Capillaris Extract.

The essence comes in a sturdy hard plastic bottle with a stopper so it doesn’t dispense too much. The essence is very watery and has a natural color to it. The essence blends out well and is very hydrating. The essence soaks in and leaves the skin looking refreshed and hydrated. Recommended use is at the first step of skincare, apply a generous amount evenly to the face and pat in for better absorption. It’s also important to note the color can change because of the natural changes to the main ingredient. After using, the first thing you notice is a slightly strong scent of the wormwood, it’s very natural and not artificial so I think it would not irritate the skin. The essence itself is colored by the wormwood extract so there are no artificial colorants. There is only one ingredient so it would be ideal for many skin types and the effects are strong because it has 100 percent wormwood extract. The essence itself is very hydrating and soothing and it refreshes as well as adds radiance to the skin. With extended use, I could see this essence helping to smooth out the skin. It also cares for redness and irritation. Maybe the only downside is this is a very expensive product but I think it’s worth it cause it truly works. I’d recommend this to people with dull, dehydrated and sensitive skin. What I like: this essence is really great as it only has one ingredient and it’s very good at hydrating and refreshing the skin. It really makes my skin look more radiant and there’s no irritation at all with this so it’s a great option for sensitive skin. The quality of this essence is lovely and the effects are long-lasting.
