I don't own many AHA/BHA products, so I was excited to try Mandelic Acid 5% Skin Prep Water by Wishtrend. I bought this at a discounted price of $3.99 in exchange for my honest review (MSRP $22). Mandelic acid is an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) derived from almonds, that can be used daily due to its larger molecular structure which makes it less irritating and suitable for all skin types including sensitive. It is supposed to improve complexion, and also it has anti-aging and antibacterial properties. Other beneficial ingredients are: * Beta-Glucan (moisturizing, redness reduction, anti-inflammatory, and soothing effects), * Panthenol or vitamin B5 (moisturizing, improving the skin’s abilities to regenerate and to maintain hydration, anti-inflammatory effect), * Centella Asiatica Extract (regenerating damaged skin), * Sodium Hyaluronate (attracting and helping retain moisture inside skin), * Arginine (anti-aging effect, restoring and rejuvenating skin, healing wounds), * Licorice Root Extract (evens skin tone), * Chameleon plant extract (antibacterial effect). Guess I should mention that it's not a toner, it should be used after cleansing and BEFORE using toner. You can apply this product on your palm and lightly pat into your skin or use it on a cotton pad for more intense exfoliation. I like the packaging, it's simple but looks classy. It's easy to dispense the right amount. Using it for the first time I could feel the tingling, but it never happened after that. After using it for two weeks now almost daily, I can definitely see the improvement - my mild acne is gone and skin tone is evener. I definitely can recommend this product.

@bywishtrend Mandelic Acid 5% Skin Prep Water - initial impressions ✨ I had been eying this product when it was launched since I am pretty interested in mandelic acid. Luckily 08L offered this at a discounted price for review purposes. ✨ Why mandelic acid? Mandelic acid is a type of AHA derived from bitter almonds. It is a more gentle AHA, which is why I am interested in mandelic acid products for chemical exfoliation. ✨ Ingredients include mandelic acid (listed 2nd), beta-glucan, panthenol, licorice root extract, sweet almond fruit extract, sodium hyaluronate, Centella asiatica extract, etc. ✨ The product comes in a dark bottle which I appreciate. There is a scent to this product but disappears. Since my skin recovered, I have integrated this product into my routine every other day. I did not experience tingling or irritation which made me feel relieved. (I did avoid open wounds but not scars/ blemishes.) I do notice a slight glow the next morning, similar to the effects I see after using other AHA exfoliating pads. I enjoy this product and will continue to use this.

It's described as a gentle exfoliating water developed to smoothen skin tone and texture. It contains 5% Mandelic Acid, Beta-Glucan, Panthenol, Centella Asiatica Extract, Licorice Root Extract, Arginine, and Sodium Hyaluronate, among others. This is loaded with soothing and brightening ingredients and of course my favorite alpha hydroxy acid, Mandelic Acid. Mandelic Acid is an AHA commonly derived from almonds and is considered to be one of the more gentle AHA options available. The reason I love this acid is because it's been the most effective way to prevent and heal my hormonal breakouts quickly. It just works so well on my skin and is known to be extremely effective when used as an acne treatment. I have not had one cystic breakout since starting this toner. NOT ONE. My skin looks brighter and feels so soft. It doesn't cause redness or visible irritation. But it does sting. I have compared my experience with @snails4eva and we both agreed it stung quite a bit. I received the Wishtrend Mandeluc Acid 5% Skin Prep Toner for a reduced price for an honest review through 0.8liter. I was really excited to get to try this toner! I've heard great things about Mandelic acid and wanted to ease my way into using it. Mandelic acid is an AHA but has a larger molecular structure than other AHAs, making it less irritating. It is suppose to help reduce the appearance of pores, help with acne, and even skin tone and texture. I cant say that i have noticed any of these affects in any great significance but it is a good prep step before the rest of my routine. I'd really like to try this as a peel with a higher concentration and will be checking to see if they release one later on! The only thing I didn't like about the product was that it didn't have a pump so you can sometimes use more product than needed when dispensing it.

My previous experiences with acids weren't the best, my skin throwing a tantrum over some rather popular ones. I had read that this claimed to be gentler, better suited for people with sensitive skin. Perfect for me, I was hoping! It's still pretty early on, but I'm happy with what's happening so far. I use this at night every other night and I've been seeing some improvement in terms of the texture and tone of my skin. I’m always hesitant of trying acids but have heard Mandelic Acid is very mild. It’s so mild that it can be used daily. • Mandelic acid, the main ingredient is an AHA, great to rejuvenate aging skin. It helps to improve pigmentation and also has antibacterial properties that are effective for acne. This prep water also includes beta-glucan aid to moisturize, reduce redness; panthenol, a moisturizer help regenerate and maintain hydration; centella asiatica extract to regenerate damaged skin, and sodium hyaluronate to help attracts and retain moisture, preventing dryness after exfoliation. • I applied this using a cotton pad after cleansing both in the AM and PM. It stings the first few times of use but nothing alarming. After applying, my face looks smooth and tight but not dry which I find quite interesting. During the “time of the month”, I usually have a few blemishes. I noticed adding this to my skin routine, the blemishes subsided faster than before. True to its claim, this exfoliant is gentle to use daily. I experience no sensitivity. I’ve noticed improvement in skin tone and texture. I’m glad to incorporate this in my skincare routine. Wishtrend's Mandelic Acid 5% Skin Prep Water . This is a very gentle alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that can be used daily. It is a very mild chemical exfoliation for all skin types; removing dead skin cells, to smooth full, rough skin and improve skin tone. The packaging is so simple and clean! . At first I was very nervous, since from the reviews I've seen, most were experiencing "pins & needles" or a lot of stinging. That's to be expected since this IS an acid after all. You can apply this directly from your hands to your face but I used cotton pads for a wee bit of extra exfoliation. I was lowkey disappointed it did not sting me one bit haha. It felt like putting a Toner on my face. I have no idea why, perhaps my skin can tolerate a higher concentration of acid? . Despite the lack of tingling and stinging, I've noticed a slight improvement in my troubled jawline! I started to notice a difference in my second week. Of course it did not completely eliminate my issues but there's a visibly noticeable difference. WISHTREND's Mandelic Acid 5% Prep Water was made available for me to try by @0.8l_usa  and I agreed to pay a discounted rate and post a review of the product online. Mandelic acid is an alpha hydroxy acid derived from bitter almonds and is a gentle type of AHA that treats Wrinkles and fine lines, Acne, dry skin, Hyperpigmentation and discoloration.  It is a clear liquid packaged in a shaker bottle that I applied using a cotton round and I could tell right away it was removing the dull, dry skin and evened my skintone. My skin was really soft to the touch and I was surprised there was no dry feeling like most AHA's I have used before. Having dry skin, I normally have to exfoliate every day and when I am in a hurry it would be nice to skip my normal routine, but normally skipping it wreaks havoc on my skin and I have to compensate for not doing it the following day. But, with the Mandelic Acid product, I was able to adjust my skincare routine and skip my routine morning exfoliation and my "no-makeup" makeup applied well and my skin wasn't 100% as glowing and clear as when I exfoliate, but it got me out the door to my appointments, and I was pleased with the product. I think it is better suited for someone with lightly dry skin, combination, sensitive skin types, normal to oily skin. I had no redness, no irritation and I am happy to have the option to skip the exfoliation and the brush every morning when I need to rush to get to my errands for the day. When using any type of AHA product it is important to use protection from the sun so if You do use a product such as this, please us sunscreen, cover treated skin or stay in out of the sun. For most of us, sunscreen is a regular product but its very important to shield your skin when using AHA'S do you don't damage your skin permanently. Mandelic Acid 5% Skin Prep Water from Wishtrend is a gentle exfoliating water develop to smoothen skin tone and texture. It supposes to remove the built-up dead skin to enhance the effects of following skin care products, it helps even out a dull and uneven skin tone and smoothens rough skin. The scent kind of smells like castor oil to me and isn't a strong scent. It comes out clear but a little tint of pale yellow. The directions say after cleansing, apply an adequate amount of products to the skin and pat lightly to absorb. If more effective exfoliating is desired saturate a cotton pad with product and use it to wipe the skin. I found it easier to use after cleaning my face and wait about 30 minutes for my skin to dry to use the Mandelic acid skin prep water because it kind of stings my skin sometimes when I recently wash my face. Now, I'll tell you my experience using this Skin prep water. First Time: I use once I received it. I tried it right after I cleanse my face. It stung a bit and afterward, I only put some toner after using the prep water because I wanted to see if it was moisturizing as it says it would. I didn't notice any redness after it stung but it only lasted a little bit like say 5 minutes. I did notice if you put too much it looks very oily. Second Time: I notice the next day, my skin was a bit dry so I tried to skip a day to put moisturizer on my skin to heal. The next time, I use the prep water it only stung at my left cheek but there were no acne, dry or cuts anywhere there. So, I was kind of confused because I had a pimple near my chin and it didn't sting so that was kind of weird to me. I did use a toner and moisturizer this time. I did notice a nice glow to the skin and some lighten to my hyperpigmentation. Third Time: I did the same routine and added the lairs midnight blue youth activating drop with it this time. I found that my skin did sting like last time but look glowy which was surprising. I did finally get it to look hydrated and less dry. The rest of the weeks: I found it going back and forth sometimes, I get dry skin and sometimes oily. Sometimes it stung and sometimes nothing. But, I do know that it has improved my skin texture. That it does absorb essence, ampules, creams, even bb cream a lot easier to look like it's not sitting on top of my skin. Overall, I think it's a great way to try Mandelic Acid 5% skin prep water. It's not too strong on the skin and improves/absorbs products in skin to do a better job. Derived from almonds, mandelic acid has larger molecules than the more popular glycolic acid, which means it doesn't irritate the skin as much. I use a 10% mandelic acid treatment regularly, so I was thrilled to try the @wishtrend Mandelic Acid 5% Skin Water Prep. I was hoping it could fill in the days when I don't use my regular AHA. ✨ The first thing I noticed is that this stings when applied directly after cleansing. If I use a wash-off and then use this, I don't get the stinging. I prefer to use this toner with cotton pads, although you can apply with your hands if you wish. It has the same strong scent as most AHAs, although it disappears quickly. ✨ Despite the stinging, this is a very mild AHA, and I think it would be perfect for sensitive skin or people who can't use strong acids. I used it once a day--no other AHAs--for one week and found it slowly helped get rid of a few bumps (especially when paired with my mild Cosrx PHA), and kept my skin smooth and looking bright. When I added in my regular actives, it felt fine using this on "off" days. I don't really get any redness or irritation from using it. It also doesn't dry out my skin, which I really appreciate. ✨ I've been using this for a little over two weeks, and I'm pretty sure this will be a staple in my routine. Another review! This time it's the @wishtrend Mandelic Acid 5% Skin Prep Water. I purchased this for $3.99 from @0.8l_usa. . . This is a really nice, refreshing toner that is meant to gently exfoliate your skin and smoothes out full, rough skin. I bought this primarily to help even out my skin tone and help out with some PIH on my cheeks. The toner also has a great ingredient list, with some of the stand-outs being Beta-Glucan, Licorice Root Extract, Sweet Almond Fruit Extract, and Centella Asiatica Extract. It does have slight medicinal smell and a also noticed some slight stinging around my nose the first one or two times I used it. It didn't last long however I didn't notice any redness. I did wait about 5 minutes before moving on with the rest of my routine. . Overall I really like this Mandelic Acid Toner. I feel like it does help smooth my skin out and gives me a nice glow. My skin also tends to feel a little more firm after using this. Right now I've been using this 2-3 times a week in the mornings, but I may increase that as the drier weather comes.

This is an exfoliating water formulated with Mandelic Acid which works gently even for sensitive skin - a hydrating has toner that we can use daily. Smoothens rough skin, removes built up of dead skin, helps on uneven skin tone. I have some age spots below my eye bags that needs to go and this toner will help plus good for some of my stubborn pimples because of it’s anti bacterial and anti inflammatory properties. Main ingredients are mandelic acid, centella asiatica extract, houttuynia cordata extract and panthenol. For glowy skin and even skin tone!!! Plus I’m pairing this with my dear klairs midnight blue youth activating drop - amazing!!! Goes well with some of my klairs products!

I am such a huge fan of this exfoliating water. I've never tried anything like this before. Its gentle enough on your skin that you can use everyday. After a week of using the product my face visibly looks and feels smoother and hydrated. Hardly no texture this is my new best friend! I use it every night before bed right after cleansing. It hasn't irritated my skin what so ever. A definite thumbs up.

This product is very light and great for sensitive skin! Do not use after a physical exfoliant bc it will sting! I've come to really enjoy this product bc I think after my skin acclimated to it I begin to really see the effects! It does not have a scent and has been able to remove some the dead skin on my face (photo 3). It's worked really well to smoothen out the dense bumpy areas on my face such as my cheeks and the center of my forehead without excess tugging or rubbing on my end. It has the consistency of water but works as a exfoliant and toner! I did notice that after using this product the following 1-2 products (such as serum & essence) that I applied onto my face, were absorbed really well! Again, this is great for sensitive skin, did not break me out, and is not abrasive! I would compare this to the Pyungkang Yul essence toner! I would not recommend if you have problematic skin such as large acne. I also don't recommend to use this on open acne areas! But works great on large pores!

Bought this item for a reduced price of $3.99 from 08L in exchange for my 100% honest review. I am giving this item a thumbs up but with proper warning. My skin is not usually very sensitive but this toner stung! I can take a much higher percentage of glycolic acid without feeling anything so I couldn't believe 5% of mandelic acid would be too strong for me. It did not cause redness or irritation and it did clean and hydrate but it was during application that I felt the slightly itchy, burning sensation that went away after about 5 minutes. It wasn't unbearable but I highly advice against using this product if you have sunburn, active breakouts, or irritated skin. At first I didn’t have any idea of what this product was doing. I thought it would exfoliate little pieces of skin off but that wasn’t the case for me, maybe because I didn’t have much residue after washing. I did notice on the cotton pad I used bits of little chunks of hard skin that covers dry pimples or blemishes. It definitely cleaned my face but I recommend not to use much because then it leaves too much sticky residue. I used too much the first time and quickly realized that a little does the job just fine. It takes some time to for what is left on the skin to dry completely but you will definitely feel like a protective player. Since it didn’t leave any red areas I can say it is super gentle and can be used twice a week or every day for those who need more intense care.
