This acid toner is great for sensitive skin and also darker complexions. Mandelic acid itself has been studied extensively for treatment of common skin problems such as photo-aging, acne and irregular pigmentation. This formulation uses 5 percent mandelic acid, which is an alpha hydroxy acid derived from bitter almonds. The reason this acid toner by Wishtrend works so well at exfoliating without much irritation, is the inclusion of skin soothing ingredients like centella asiatica extract,which is rich in fatty acids, amino acids and phytonutrients essential for skin health, panthenol or pro-vitamin B5 and beta glucan, which is terrific for sensitive skin and also has antioxidant qualities. Also included in this toner is a medicinal herb called houttuynia cordata extract, which is also called juyaku or 'ten role' for its many uses. This herb has antibacterial and antiviral properties and is known to soothe inflammation. I used a small amount on a cotton round and swiped it over my face after cleansing and toning. This seemed to sting a little, but only lasted a minute or two. I woke the next morning to smooth and soft skin. I've since started using this three times weekly and have the best looking skin of my life! Im so pleased with the results ive had from this acid toner! Finally sharing my thoughts about the By Wishtrend Mandelic Acid 5% Skin Prep!✨ . I’ve been using this for a week on alternate days before slowing it down to once every 3 washes because this made my skin really sensitive! I do use a retinol/ retinoid product regularly and therefore don’t need a lot of additional exfoliation. Not to say that I completely don’t need it as I do use an AHA scaling cream by #nakeupface as well as the #cosrx Pimple Pads. . I’m not saying that it is a bad product because I have noticed my acne scarring lightening faster than usual! But it would be good for those with sensitive skin to go slow with it and listen to your skin. It seriously stung on the first use, but by my 3rd use, there wasn’t even much of a tingle. I do sometimes dab a small amount of this on my acne/ acne scars before toning with my Beauty Water and it has definitely made a difference. . I’m quite sure this would last me awhile but I would definitely consider purchasing it again after I finish it as I have noticed the difference it has made for my PIE!

In comparison to other acid toners that I tried before, this toner is less strong than TO glycolic acid toner and Pixi Glow Tonic and it is comparable to Corx Aha/Bha toner in terms of its gentleness. My skin looks slightly brighter, clearer and moist upon application and I did not experience any dryness, peeling or flakiness. As I have been using it for the past 3 days only, I cannot comment on its claims of texture improvement, anti-inflammatory or antibacterial properties. Effective for acne due to inflammatory and antibacterial properties. There are three main ingredients: 1. Mandelic Acid: helps to improve pigmentation as well as to restore aged skin. Also, contains antibacterial properties that are effective for inflammatory acne. 2. Panthenol: also known as vitamin B, acts as a humectant and moisturizer, improving the skins ability to regenerate and to maintain hydration. Can be used to prevent itching and inflammation. 3. Sodium hyaluronate: acts as a natural moisturizer factor, it attracts moisture and helps retain moisture within the skin preventing dryness after exfoliations 👉🏻 Review: I was drawn to this product because I’ve been getting acne in my 30’s. I used the product as a part of my morning and night skin care routine. The instructions indicated that the product could be used by tapping into the skin or placed on a cotton pad and used to swipe the skin in a cleaning motion. I tried both methods and the cotton pad method was more effective for my skin. 👍🏻 Pros: what I found most beneficial about this product was that it did not dry out my skin after usage. It worked well with my daily moisturizer and didn’t cause my skin to feel oily throughout the day. I personally had use this product for a week now. I can feel adequate changes on my skin tone and my skin look hydrated, doesn't look dry. There is no harsh irritation and it's helps in daily exfoliation too which is quite good. I can see my skin look fairer, clean and clearer. This product is great for dry and oily skin like me (combination type). You can see the result just a week. The packaging just look like normal toner bottle. But the product effectiveness is amazing! After about three weeks of use I can say for sure that I am making the change from the Glycolic toner I have been using for close to a year. This is a very gentle acid toner that does not dry out my skin at all, and has helped balance out my combination skin. I use this every morning and night, as my skin can take it, but I would recommend 2-3 days per week if you have very sensitive skin. The pores on my cheeks and nose appear much smaller overall, and once turns over faster than before. At $22 dollars I will more than likely purchase this again. The Mandelic Skin Water Prep wasrefteshing. It left my face feeling clean. I did feel a little bit of irritation once I used it but nothing too bad. It would be described as a little bit more than tingling. Once it dried, my skin felt tacky like I had some extra layer of something. Overall , it was a decent product but i would have to use it longer to know if I see improvement. The bottle material was not my favorite. It was not a squeeze bottle as the toners usually come in. For the size of the opening, it probably should have been for easier dispensing.

I’ve always been hesitant to dive into the world of acids. I’ve heard stories about purging, irritation, etc. so I’ve generally steered clear of acid exfoliants (although I’ve tested a few here and there).

The star ingredient is obviously mandelic acid, a type of AHA that tends to be more gentle due to its molecular size. The product claims to help reduce hyper pigmentation, restore your skin texture and even out your overall skin tone.  I’ve been testing this daily over the last few weeks and have been loving it so far. I apply it after double cleansing and let it soak in a bit before moving on to the next steps of my routine. I’ve noticed that my skin’s texture is looking a bit better and some of my my pigmentation has faded ever so slightly.

I really enjoyed this cleansing toner by Wishtrend! I like to use it to clean off sunscreen after my morning jogs. It doesn't dry out my skin and helps control acne yet is also mild!

For me, this product is great for days when I feel like my skin needs a break from my usual acids, but I still want to incorporate some kind of chemical exfoliation. My go to application method is to pour this clear watery liquid on a cotton pad. Formulated at an effective pH of 4, it doesn’t leave any residue and isn’t drying on my skin. 5% mandelic by itself isn’t enough to keep my black head under control, but I would highly recommend this for anyone who wants to incorporate a gentle acid into their skincare routine. . 🔬Mandelic acid is an alpha hydroxy acid that is derived from bitter almonds. It has a larger molecular weight when compared to other common AHAs (glycolic, lactic, etc), and therefore is less irritating than other acids, causing less stinging and burning. Mandelic acid remains on the skin surface for longer and slowly penetrates the stratum corneum. It is safe and effective for darker skins as well. Of the clinical trials I was able to find studying the efficacy of mandelic acid on skin, almost all of them used a peel of mandelic acid in combination with other acids. Peel containing mandelic acid showed a higher efficiency in fading hyperpigmentation when compared to glycolic acid containing peels 🔬

This mandelic toner was appealing because my #sensitiveskin doesn't love too many acids. Mandelic acid is more gentle than other AHAs b/c it doesn't penetrate the skin as deeply. Similar to PHAs in that way! It's most geared towards anti-aging & helping discoloration when used in more concentrated forms. This toner is a light clarifying type, and it replaced The Face Shop's Blemish Zero toner in my routine. After seeing a few reviews on IG, I was concerned that I'd have stinging with this. Surprisingly my skin wasn't irritated! I was shocked 😂 It did sting one time, but that was my first routine after a facial, including extractions. I use this by applying it to a cotton pad & swiping it on my face, per the package directions. I may decant it into my spray bottle to see how it does in that style of application. Has anyone tried that yet? My skin right now has a few breakouts & clogs, sadly. I haven't been able to pinpoint exactly what's causing it (I'm guessing it's just stress), but I'm interested to see if this helps clear up the imperfections. I don't use acid heavy hitters!
